Chapters 261. What was? my job is still a lot
Adelia looked at Antony who was feeding her morning meal. Looks pretty rushed especially after his phone seems to vibrate.
Adelia also knew this man came home so late last night out of nowhere, that he must have been out of his office before 8 p.m. Of course all that he knew from the spies he asked to follow him. But strangely enough, every time he left he disappeared. Suddenly just how many people he asked to follow him must have lost track of him. Adelia becomes suspicious, lest she find the woman.
Antony glanced at his phone. A message from Calton that says that Laura wants to see him soon. Of course everything with sign language makes sense. That's why he sped up his meal. He wants to go there before he goes to his office.
"Antony," called Adelia when she saw that her husband had cleared his lips. Signs he's finished his morning meal. Adelia looked at him with a suspicious look.
But his gaze changed instantly as Antony stared at him. A smile was so sweetly colored her lips.
"What's up?” ask Antony in a flat tone of voice.
“Tnight there's a party in my family. My mom and dad wanted you to come. I've said that you're very busy and also can't be bothered lately but they didn't listen to what I said at all, they really wanted you to come.” Adelia explained it slowly. Antony only gave a nod in response to what Adelia had said.
Adelia actually did not want to give any hope that Antony would agree to go there with her. But her father and mother forced her to go to their first family party after they got married. For them Antony is their pride and also can not be defeated by anyone. Having a president's son-in-law, who can beat that?
“So, no need to worry. I'd say that you ...” Adelia continued as she only got a silent answer from Antony.
“I'll be coming.” Suddenly Antony answered that casually.
“Eh? What?” ask Adelia who was not even ready to get the answer from Antony's lips.
Antony stared at his wife's face, which was so beautiful even though it was only polished by pink lip dye. From his eyes was hope even though he had not said it. Now that hope turned into shock.
Antony just doesn't want to be too cruel with Adelia. He'd have trouble coping with his mother's father if Antony couldn't come along. Not to mention the scorn of his family that must have been aimed behind him. Antony did not like Adelia, but he also did not want to make this woman suffer so much when married to her.
“I'll come along. Just tell Max when the party's gonna start. I'll be home before the party.” Antony gave a slight smile as he looked at Adelia's face which actually looked so shocked. But soon Adelia covered it up.
“Oh, yes, fine. I'm gonna say it. You really want to come?” adelia asked once again to make sure that she was not dreaming or fantasizing early in the morning like this.
“Yes. Just give me some news. I have to go now.” Antony tasted some of his tea before he stood up.
It's still so early to explore. Antony stared at his phone and got some messages he knew were not from Calton. It must be Laura who sent him a message from Calton's phone. Antony just raised the corner of his lips. The morning was quite colorful with an annoyed message from Laura.
Laura folded her arms in annoyance while sitting in front of the big television there. There's no word on Graciella she got. Though all night he could not sleep because he thought about how Graciella. Has he been saved or not? Where is he now? Was Adrean really killed because of his orders last night?
All of this made him unable to sleep. He wakes up every hour. Damn it, even Antony who he asked how the case went last night before the man left. Just throw a smile and ask him to wait for the morning.
Laura was a little upset. Look at Antony's current nature. He prefers the old Antony because he always answers his questions. Antony who is now, too quiet and likes to make him curious. Uh! What do you want Laura? Laura thought while hitting her cheek. I used to like quiet men. Getting Antony to be quiet, he instead prefers Antony who used to be so chatty about him. Antony who now doesn't even care if he's eaten or not. Huh!
“Nona, it looks like Mister will be up to a few more minutes,” said Calton who was just confused to face Laura who for him was like a woman who was PMS at all times. Morning–morning alone he was so upset because Antony never came. Did he think Antony was just an ordinary person who could come here?
Laura looked at Calton with her duck face. He then nodded. “Alright.” then turned his face away.
Calton saw it was just frowning his forehead. Is that so? Laura sent a lot of threatening messages if Antony didn't come as soon as possible. Calton was dizzy and afraid that Antony misunderstood the message.
“Nona, Mister has come,” Calton said again moments later. Look at Antony's car that just entered the villa's yard.
“Really?” Laura immediately jumped in shock. His face that was sulking like a duck was gone instantly. He immediately excitedly headed towards the entrance to coincide with Antony entering the house.
“Antony!” said Laura who unwittingly welcomed Antony cheerfully and enthusiastically.
Antony who got a welcome with a wide grin from Laura's face slightly frowned. She had never been so cheerfully welcomed by Laura as long as she knew this woman. In fact, usually this woman tends to be upset by his arrival.
Antony stopped his steps because it was Laura who stopped in front of him. Still with a perfectly fluffy smile and sparkling eyes stared at the face of the man who did not know why now looked so handsome to Laura. In the past, it seemed like Antony's face was normal for him.
“What's the morning threatening me to come here?” ask Antony with his flat tone.
Hearing that Laura put her duck face back on. “Why? You had to come here?”
Antony frowned while a little face of disbelief. Why did Laura look so spoiled. “My work is a lot in the morning. What's up?”
