Chapters 272. If it can't be present it's better to just let go of me!
Calton's phone rang. He immediately raised a call from Antony who had just arrived at his office and wanted to know what the sulking woman was doing this morning when he left.
“Halo, good morning Sir,” said Calton who stood not far from Laura. Laura who was enjoying her morning meal by the pool only narrowed her eyes towards Calton. The glare was hit by the sun because of his all-white clothes. I don't know why this guy always wears those clothes.
“What is he doing?” ask Antony right away.
“Miss Laura is having breakfast, Mr.”
Antony was silent for a moment. “Give her your phone.”
“Good sir,” said Calton who immediately walked down the edge of the pool. He immediately thrust his phone at the indifferent-looking Laura.
“What's up?” ask Laura.
“Mr Antony wants to talk to you.” Calton handed me his phone. Antony simply frowned upon hearing their conversation. Looks like the woman's mood wasn't good this morning.
“Halo?” laura asked after she took the phone out of Calton's hand. Calton immediately resigned. Standing far enough away to hear Laura and Antony's conversation. He didn't want to be mistaken for eavesdropping on their conversation.
“How are your legs?” ask Antony directly.
Laura looked at her legs which were still wrapped around by a heavy cloth. It doesn't hurt anymore, it's more numb. Laura was able to set it up, although not too strong but quite enough so that she no longer needed to jump around with one leg.
“I think it's better.” short Laura sounds a little sniffy. He's still a little angry with Antony who left him alone. Because of that he could not sleep anymore and just watch television. Now his head is dizzy.
Antony plays his lips. He knew this woman was still angry with him. But he likes it when Laura gets mad at him, that pouting look, it's adorable. “You're still mad at me?” that voice sounded soft. Laura frowned. He could not believe what he heard. Why this man can be indifferent and also attentive in a short time.
“No. Why would I waste my energy just to be mad at you. Regret once,” murmur Laura.
Antony who listened to that only smiled faintly. Not angry but what he just said was really like people were angry.
“You know, last night was very risky. I don't think I can come to where you used to be these few days.”
Laura heard it silent. Suddenly, he did not like hearing this. Why did he add such annoyance to Laura's heart.
“Why can't you come?” ask Laura. Not that he doesn't know the reason. But he just wants to make it clear.
“My position now makes all my moves in the spotlight. Too many disappear and in a long time, will make everyone start to be suspicious. I have to keep no one suspicious, it's really not good for my career.”
Laura moved her lips far forward. Uh! He's very upset. I'm getting upset about this. He really is like a mistress now! Yep! Fix it! He is the mistress of a president. But he doesn't want to be a mistress.
“Yes already, it's up to you. Come whatever, no problem. I'd rather be alone anyway. So no one bothers.” Laura exploded. He let out a manner of speaking like his chariot. Long and fast.
Antony bit his lips as he held back his little laugh. He was happy to be able to upset this woman for doing so. Even though what he said was true, it was unexpected that it would make the woman on the other side so angry.
“Three days?” Laura turned her eyes and immediately straightened her body. Calton who saw that knew that the woman was tense.
“Yes, maybe next week I can go there.”
“Ya already! No need to come here, it's okay. I can get used to playing with Calton alone!” ketus Laura again.
“What do you mean by Calton?” ask Antony who frowned.
“Yes, if you don't exist. There's only him and I'm alone here. It's not like I should get used to his presence. He also prepared my needs. So, yes I have to get used to myself.” Threat Laura. Let him know how upset Laura is now. He doesn't need it either.
“I'll replace her with a female assistant,” Antony said again with a slight annoyance.
“Ha? Wh why? Why change people? I feel like I fit in well with him. He can accompany me here while you can't!” satirize Laura again.
“So you actually want me there?” antony teased Laura again.
“Of course! I'm so lonely to be here because of you. But instead, you just want to say that you can't come here. What do you think I am? Stopover place?” pissed Laura.
Antony chuckled softly hearing the slurs from Laura. Laura frowned. Why even laugh.
“Why laugh?” Laura doesn't like that. He was serious but this guy laughed at him.
“Why not say it from earlier?”
“What?”
“That you want me to come and be there?”
Laura was speechless as to whether she had fallen into Antony's trap. Damnit damnit! How could? You stupid, stupid brain! Think Luara.
Calton on the other end now just frowned, The lady is now banging herself in the head. This president's woman is truly unique.
“That must be said? You should be a sensitive man! If you can't attend, then let go of me. Don't hold me back and make me lonely here!” laura said again.
“I'll do anything. As long as you don't ask to leave from there. If you leave, I can't take care of you,” Antony said suddenly seriously and gently.
Of course, that made Laura suddenly silenced at a loss for words. Uh! Why could this man be cold and so warm at the same time make Laura carefree because of it.
“Have not been flailing. Just prove it, whether you can be here or not,” Laura said as she turned off the call. He could get a fever if he talks to Antony too long. Uh! Why not just the nature and attitude of Antony like this. If he's like this, maybe it's not Antony who's after Laura. Laura herself will come to him.
Antony only commented a faint smile hearing the tone of the disconnection. He imagined the woman's face. He just shook his head while twisting his chair. The morning was pretty good because of Laura.
