The Obsolete Bond

The Obsolete Bond
Miscomprehension

Sarah and Dito remained silent on their way home from the hospital. Being slapped by a middle-aged woman in public was already quite painful for Sarah. But it was even more painful to see her husband just stand up without defending her.

"Why were you there, Dit?" Sarah asked in a cold tone to Dito.

But the one who was asked was silent and did not say a single break.

"Don't tell me you also thought that I deliberately pushed Anggi?" Sarah sharp.

Dito remained silent. And Dito's silence gave Sarah enough answers. Heart disappointed. It could be that the man he had known for 10 years was acting very strangely before him. And what's more, accusing Sarah of doing something this low?

"You're crazy Dit. You may think that you are rich. If I want to kill your children, I've been doing it since I first met Anggi. Why would I bother having you all marry me, huh?" Challenge Sarah bravely.

"You think my position is good now? You don't think I'm hurting to see that you're going to have your first child but not me? But I'm not that crazy, Dit! Even in a dream I never thought to nyelakain Anggi!" Sarah's emotions overflowed. Indeed, Dito's only weakness is now a very heavy burden for Sarah to survive.

"So how do you want me?! You told me to marry Anggi and I did! Now you're guilty of me for not believing you?! How can I believe you if I doubt the truth myself, huh?!" Dito gushed back Sarah with his emotions.

Sarah remained silent. It is true what Sarah thought. Dito also thinks Sarah's the one who hurt Anggi. Sarah was dismayed to hear the words coming out of her husband's mouth. What did Dito think to accuse Sarah that far?

"What can I expect from a rich plan plin man you Dit." Sarah said coldly. He got out of the car and went into the house. No matter what Dito yelled to his name a thousand times.

Sarah went into her room and immediately turned the keys to her room. He doesn't want anyone to go in there. Angry, upset, and disappointed all stirred into one. Sarah smiled bitterly. Why is everything like this? He just wanted Dito to take responsibility and not make a bigger mistake, but why did Sarah get only injuries? And the one who incised the wound was none other than Dito himself.

Sarah's phone rings again. Mama called. Sarah wiped her tears and took a deep breath. Trying to calm his voice. I don't know why his mom always calls at the wrong time like this. Is it possible that a mother's instincts make her heart feel bad and immediately want to call her daughter?

"Hello Ma?" Sarah asked in a normal tone.

"Hello, Nduk? How you doing?" Ask her across the phone.

"Good Ma. Very kind. What's wrong Ma? How do you call Sarah?" Sarah asked her mother.

"Ga there's nothing, Nduk. Mama's heart just feels good. You're afraid you're gonna have nothing." Mama Sarah said honestly.

It is true that nothing can defeat the power of a mother's feelings towards her child. Even when Sarah was separated so far, her mother could still feel something was wrong with Sarah.

"Sarah is good, Ma. Mama don't worry."

"Your voice why bindeng, Nduk? Sick huh?" Ask her mother full of questions.

Sarah just laughed fake. Trying to hide his sadness.

"Yes Ma. Sarah same Dito new abis holiday. Maybe Sarah's soy sauce is sick."

Lies. It was all a lie. Sarah can only lie because seeing her mother hurt will make Sarah even more sick.

"Oh, yo wiss Nduk if nothing. Mama matiin yes phone. This is someone's gonna buy first." Pamit Mama Sarah's.

"Yes, Ma. Take care of health. Say hello to Baim!"

The phone call was then decided. Loneliness immediately ambushed Sarah. Sarah leaned her head against the bed. Ah, apparently this is how it feels to be abandoned on the ground of people with no place to lean.

...****************...

It seems Sarah cried all night to sleep. The room is still locked. That means all night Dito didn't go inside. Or maybe not even going home. Sarah looked out the door of her room. His head was looking for Dito.

Dito's figure came out of the back bathroom. He was dressed and looked like he was going somewhere.

"Where are you going, Yang?" Sarah asked the indifferent-looking Dito.

"To the hospital." Answer Dito briefly.

"Ga. Orggi is fine. You don't have to bother going to the hospital." Dito answered without looking at Sarah.

Damnit damnit! Sarah's heart ached to see Dito acting this cold. And again, why did Dito have to forbid him from seeing Anggi? Is it as big as her curiosity so she is afraid that Anggi will get hurt again if Sarah meets him? But Sarah is his wife? Dito should have known that Sarah would never do that.

Sarah was silent. His energy was still empty to fight this early. He could only see Dito walking away from him and going to visit his honeymoon. Not knowing why, but Sarah feels Dito will also slowly leave her alone from his life. I don't know where he got that feeling.

...****************...

The clock shows at 10 a.m. As Sarah recalls, Dito had an important meeting today so Dito is now definitely in the office. This is Sarah's chance to visit Anggi. Sarah is not a cruel old wife who has fun over the suffering of her husband's young wife. To be honest, even Sarah felt very worried about Anggi's state.

He immediately ordered a taxi online that would take him to the hospital where Anggi was treated. Not long after, his order taxi arrives and transports Sarah to where she is headed. Upon arrival at the hospital, Sarah heads straight to the reception desk. Ask the location of the room of a woman named Anggita Jennia Irapanusa.

"Excuse me, Ma'am. I'd like to ask. The patient's room named Anggita Jennia Irapanusa where is it?" Ask Sarah to the nurse on duty.

The sister appears to be typing in a name and looking for it in several databases on her computer.

"Oh, Anggita Jennia Irapanus' patient is in Ward Melati room number 15, ma'am." Answer the nurse politely.

Sarah thanked him and immediately spurred his steps into the room. A few minutes walking, he was already standing in front of the door of Anggi's room. Sarah peered inside through the glass door and saw Anggi sleeping. He was hesitant to go into the room because he was worried that it would interfere with Anggi's rest.

Before long Sarah stood in confusion in the hospital corridor, a thick-bodied woman came to him. Sarah knew this woman even though she did not know her name. This woman is Anggi's mother who slapped her last night.

"Whenever here?" Ask the woman.

"I'm worried about Anggi Bu. Anggi is fine, right? Can I see?" Ask Sarah sincerely.

"Ga needs. My son is fine. Not good news for you, right? Surely you wish my son didn't survive, right?" The woman was sharp.

Sarah's eyes widened. He could not believe what he heard.

"Oath to God, Mom! I never had the slightest intention to harm Anggi! I can ask Anggi myself! Even during this time I always help take care of Anggi. How could I harm a woman my sister's age?" Sarah defended herself.

The woman just laughed cynically.

"Here you go, you don't have to play in front of me. I remember the habits of women like you. Pretend good when the original will hurt anyone who gets in your way. Your deception doesn't work with me!" The woman continued to launch spicy words from her mouth.

"For God's sake! If you don't believe me, you can ask our neighbors. I have never done anything bad to Anggi! Can you think of me as such? Jesus Ma'am..." Sarah was at a loss for words to defend herself.

The woman smiled cynically.

"Here you go, Anggi doesn't need you here. There was me and her husband. Now you better go!"

...****************...

Anggi woke up from his sleep. What noise was there outside his room? Seems like the voice of her mother?

"What's wrong Ma? Who's the same fight mom?" Ask Anggi when he sees his mother coming in.

"Ga there's nothing. There was a nurse who didn't call Mama." Mama Anggi told a lie.

"Where is Sarah Ma? How did he look? Does he not want to look at me?" Ask Anggi while drowning.

"You don't expect too much from that woman. Maybe now she's having a party at her house because it's good to hear you miscarried." Reply Mother. Lies. Again lies clouded his words.

Anggi. He still believes that Sarah will not be that cruel to him. There's no way Sarah's having fun on top of her grief. Why hasn't Sarah visited him yet? Is it possible that all of her mother's words were true? Is it possible that Sarah is indeed happy for the miscarriage that Anggi experienced?
