The Obsolete Bond

The Obsolete Bond
The Arrival of the Little One

After a week of treatment for his complications, Anggi's condition finally improved and he was allowed to go home. On the day of Anggi's return, Dito had been busy since morning. Especially preparing the playroom for his little prince.

Sarah could only look at him while smiling bitterly. He realized he would not be able to help Dito without looking jealous or even sad. I don't know how she'll survive in that house when the baby comes.

At 3pm, Dito, Anggi, and Bu Risa arrived home. Sarah watched him from the door. He saw Dito who was so quick to open the car door for Anggi. And not long after that Anggi got out of the car while carrying a small baby in his hand. The three of them entered the house with the baby.

Sarah greeted him with an awkward smile. He was confused as to what kind of expression he had because he also did not understand with his heart at this moment. On one hand, he was so happy to see the handsome little baby join his family. But on the other hand, he was envious. She also wants to have her own child. His flesh and Dito. The granddaughter he will present to his mother and her two in-laws.

Sarah reaches out her hand, offering Anggi to help but Anggi passes her by. Even without looking at it a bit.

"Go on, Sar. Gapapa." Dito said briefly. He and Ms. Risa then followed Anggi into Anggi's room.

For hours the three of them were in Anggi's room. Sarah had no idea what the three of them were doing but really seemed to be very happy. Sometimes Sarah hears Dito's voice laughing because he invites her to play his son.

"Where's Papa's son? Where's?" Said Dito from the direction of Anggi's room.

Sometimes there is also the sound of Miss Risa's voice sounding happy.

"Oh Dito! Look at your son, he looks just like you! It's his eyes, his nose, all the way to his lips!"

The three of them will laugh again. Sometimes Sarah also heard spoiled words from Anggi who asked for her husband's attention. Either because of the painful seams or the milk that does not want to come out. There is always a reason. To the extent that Sarah feels maybe Anggi and Miss Risa deliberately heated up so that Sarah felt jealous.

Sarah could only listen to all that happiness from the walls of her room. There is a family that is being given great happiness in their home. But even in one house, Sarah was not given the opportunity to join them. It was as if Sarah was the unlucky carrier woman who would snatch away their happiness.

Without realizing it, Sarah's tears fell dripping from her eyes. A drop, two drops, and a long time unstoppable again. Sarah was crying in silence. He buried his face in a pillow so as not to make a sound. No matter how hard she tried to harden her heart to not get hurt, Sarah was, after all, just an ordinary human being. People who have emotions and can feel hurt. He can't be as strong as before. The stone in his heart could be broken for a long time because of the tears that almost every night he drops. I don't know how much longer Sarah's gonna survive like this.

...****************...

Sarah's phone rang in the middle of her work. Sarah glanced briefly at her caller.

"Dito?"

Sarah ignored him because Sarah already knew very well definitely the unimportant thing he would talk about. Because it is impossible for Dito to talk about important things other than with Anggi, his favorite wife.

There's a phone coming in again. Same call from Dito. Sarah ignored him. Today is the end of the month and he is very busy with his cash reports. There is no time for trivial talks especially just facing whining and drama from Anggi.

A message came in.

Sarah, pick up the phone. I want to talk to you. It matters!

Sarah read the incoming message from Dito. What the hell was so important to Dito like this? You can wait until Sarah gets home, right?

Later on Talk to him. When I got home. Now I'm busy. Sorry yeah.

Sarah typed in a reply message for Dito. Don't know what's going on at home but Sarah's priority now is to get her work done. At least if the household does not run smoothly, his career should not face the same thing.

At 8pm, Sarah had just finished her work. He glanced at his clock and realized that it was getting late. He hurried to pack his things and left his room. Sarah spurred her pace to quickly split the lobby. Suddenly, a voice stopped his steps. A man's voice called his name.

"Whoo! Brother Sarah!"

Sarah looked at the origin of the voice. A stranger in the same uniform approaches him. He squinted his eyes, trying to remember if he knew the man? Why does this unknown man know his name?

"Well, can I help you?" Sarah asked the stranger confusedly.

"This nametag fell there." Answer the man with a smile.

Sarah just pulled out a brief "oh" sign she understood.

"Thank you. By the way have we known or met before? How do you know my name?" Sarah asked in wonder.

"I know your name from there." The man said, pointing to the nametag still in Sarah's hand.

"Oh, I see. Thank you for coming back to me. If this goes away, I might get angry tomorrow." Sarah said to the stranger.

"Can. My name is Sarah, you know from the name. Move from where?" Sarah asked back.

"I'm Elton, a native of Manado, born in Manado, raised in Manado, and only this old man migrated to Ambon." Said the man named Elton while grinning.

Sarah smiled awkwardly. Well, Sarah caught the scent of a pretentious human in front of her. Maybe because this guy doesn't have any friends yet so trying to be friends with Sarah? Or is this guy the type who likes to get along? Ah, I don't know. Sarah must now go home because her body is very tired.

"Eh yes Elton, I say go home first. It's 8 o'clock." Sarah feels bad.

"Well, would you like to go home with me?" Bargain Elton without feeling awkward.

But it was Sarah who became awkward because she met a man who was so cute.

"Ga it, Elton. I brought my own vehicle. I say yes. Excuse me." Sarah ended the conversation with a bad taste.

Elton just smiled looking at Sarah's back who was walking away from him. Ah, their first meeting which was only a few minutes left a deep impression in Elton's heart. He also did not understand what Sarah had so he was so interested in the woman. And Elton is determined to dig deeper into it.

...****************...

Sarah just got home when the clock showed at 9 p.m. It was quite a night because the distance between his office and the house was indeed a bit far. As soon as he opened the door, he saw Dito, Bu Risa, and Anggi waiting for him in the living room.

"What's this?" Sarah asked confused to see the three.

"Can we talk to you for a second, Sarah?" Tanya Dito was serious.

Sarah stepped towards the living room and sat down before the three people who were staring at her unhappily.

"Why Dit?" Sarah repeated her question.

"You came home this afternoon?" Ask Dito directly.

"Yes. I went home to get the files back to the office again. Why mother?" Sarah asked back.

"Did you burn all of Deo's clothes and gear, ma'am?" Anggi asked in an accusatory tone.

Sarah's confused. Burn what? That little baby kit? What does Anggi mean?

"meaning? Why am I doing all that? Rich has no job." Denying Sarah. He could not believe what he had just heard. What kind of shit is this?

"When we got home from the doctor, Mama said she smelled something burning. When we got to the backyard, we were squirming Deo's stuff was burned." Obviously Dito.

"Keep in your opinion, I'm the one who's doing everything?" Sarah asked sharply.

"Who else? You're the only one with motive. Anggi and Mama aren't probably doing the same rich gini thing Deo!" Dito's voice began to rise.

"You're all crazy." Sarah's fretful.

Sarah was so angry to hear it. It seems like everyone in this house has gone crazy thinking Sarah could be cruel to such a small baby. Sarah's head was dizzy and her body was too tired to argue their words.

"You don't like it when I give Mas Dito his first child, do you?" Ask Anggi. Those words really sounded sharp and pierced Sarah's heart. If you can, it feels like Sarah wants to jump and immediately pluck out the woman's poisonous tongue.

"I'm not a madman who can do that rich thing. It's up to you to believe it or not, but my life has been too busy to take care of your drama." Sarah said as she left the three men.

"Tidad." Call Dito.

Sarah's steps stopped. He looked at Dito.

"From today on, don't approach Anggi and my son again." Dito's word is cold. There was not a single hint of emotion or love for Sarah in those eyes. It was as if everything had never been there. It was as if Sarah had never been an important part of her life.

Sarah rolled her eyeballs. Pantingly. Then he said,

"Whatever. I don't care."
