The Surprising News

Sarah looked at the doctor in disbelief. She pregnant? Pregnant Dito's child? It felt like a durian fall. Perhaps this is a sign God is giving him a second chance to mend his relationship with Dito.

"El, I'm pregnant! I'm pregnant with Dito El's child!" Sarah happily exclaimed as they both sat in Elton's car after they left the doctor's room.

"You happy, Sar?" Elton smiled bitterly.

Sarah nodded enthusiastically. His eyes were glazed over and repeatedly read his examination results.

"It's so good, El! Maybe this is my chance to fix Dito's relationship! Maybe I can get my position back in Dito's heart!" Sarah is blooming.

Elton just smiled looking at the woman before him looking happy. Really, during the new Sarah this time Elton saw her smile this wide. It's okay, as long as Sarah's happy Elton will feel happy too. Happiness does not come from it. Elton will be the one to always support and encourage Sarah even from afar.

"When do you want to tell Dito?" Elton asked curiously.

"I have to wait for the right time El. Because it was a big surprise for Dito. Maybe I'll take Dito to eat together and tell him this is the same." Sarah answered excitedly.

Elton drove Sarah back to the office because her car was still there. Arriving at the office, Sarah immediately rushed to pack her things and gave a short goodbye to Elton.

"El, I'm going home first!" Sarah cried while running small towards the parking lot where her car was.

"Yes, be careful Sarah!" Elton waved his hand.

Elton could only watch Sarah running away from him. Maybe that's how he got his chance to be close to Sarah. Getting further. But at least now Sarah is happy with her life. Isn't that what Elton expected?

...****************...

Sarah just arrived at her house. He could not wait to tell Dito about this happy news. But upon arrival at home, the state of the house looks so quiet. Sarah wondered where all the inhabitants of this house were.

"Mom, where's Dito?" Sarah asked when she saw Miss Risa coming out of the kitchen.

Ms. Risa did not comment on Sarah's question and just passed Sarah as if there was no one there.

"My mom is loh! Where is everything?" Sarah said again affirming her every word.

The one asked finally looked on with care. Like looking lazy to answer Sarah's question.

"Just go to the airport." Miss Risa replied briefly.

"Well?" Ask Sarah back.

"Nganter Dito." Said Miss Risa back.

"Where is Dito going? How come you didn't know me?"

"Dito wants to go to Flores for a month." Said Ms. Risa.

Sarah surprised. Is it not important that his position in Dito's life so that Dito does not give him something this important? Sarah is still Dito's legitimate wife, isn't she?

"Tok Dito ga ngabarin me?" Sarah asked back in a disappointed tone.

Miss Risa looks tired following Sarah's question. He's pissed off.

If the words had a form, then Sarah was sure every word that was thrown by Miss Risa would be shaped like a knife. Didn't he think how hurtful he was to say, especially to a woman like Sarah? A woman waiting for the presence of a child.

Sarah just smiled bitterly. Then he went into his room. Her tears flowed down her cheeks. Now she is confused, how should she face her pregnancy? Should he tell Dito by phone? Or should he just wait for Dito to come home?

"Dito should know my pregnancy. Because wherever this child is Dito's son." Determined Sarah.

Sarah tried to call Dito with her phone. But the call was switched to the ballot box. Dito's phone is off.

"Maybe Dito's been on the plane?" Mumbled Sarah.

Until the night Sarah tried to contact Dito but always failed. Whether it's a dead phone, out of reach, or even busy. Sarah's confused. In what way does she have to tell her pregnancy that Dito can't be contacted at all? Why is there always an obstacle for Sarah and Dito to get back okay?

...****************...

Ms. Risa is sweeping the house like her usual every morning. From today until the next month, Dito is not at home and is in Flores for work purposes. That meant the ultimate decision holder was in the hands of his daughter. And every decision Anggi makes is definitely his decision as well. Indirectly, since Dito was in Flores, Bu Risa became the number one person in this house.

Miss Risa knocked on her daughter's bedroom door. It's 10 in the morning but Anggi hasn't woken up yet.

"Relse! Awake, Nggi! It's noon!" Exclaimed Bu Risa.

"Ah, wait again Ma. I'm gonna sleep tight again no more Mas Dito." Answer Anggi lazily.

The mother just laughed. Yeah, let's maybe Anggi just wants to get the rest he needs. Since his grandson Deo was born, his daughter's life has changed 180 degrees. It does become happier. But it's also more busy. Surely Anggi's sleep time is reduced very much compared to before. So maybe there's no harm in him resting for a long time today.

Miss Risa continued her activities sweeping the medium-sized house. But his eyes caught a letter in an envelope that appeared to be from a hospital. He took the letter and read it.

"Have Sarah?" He muttered as he looked at the name on the letter.

Curiosity prompted him to open the letter in his hand. His eyes widened as he looked at the contents of the letter.

"Woman is pregnant?" Said Miss Risa surprised.

Miss Risa thinks whose child Sarah conceived because Dito never spent the night with Sarah.

"What's possible?" Miss Risa seemed hesitant to continue her murmur.

"When they're on vacation at the beach? Or when Anggi gives birth?" Miss Risa guessed the possibility that happened.

He felt an oncoming threat to ruin his daughter's happiness. And that threat is Sarah's pregnancy. Miss Risa believes Sarah's pregnancy can bring her back close to Dito. And that means the fate of her daughter's relationship is also at stake.

"I have to get rid of the baby." Said Miss Risa coldly.

Miss Risa walked towards Sarah's room. He tried to open the door to his room but it was locked.

"Fuckin' woman, put on a show the door's all locked!" Umpat Bu Risa is upset.

Then he called someone. A man seems to.

"Hello, Malik? I need your help." Sarah said to her interlocutor.
