A few days of being a culinary column writer made Kara feel happier. He began to enjoy his new job.
Kara started managing a tabloid culinary-only online page, even interacting with online visitors.
This morning Kara was busy answering questions from some of her readers.
Aunt May sends a message to Kara, that her orders and restaurant visitors have increased since Kara wrote a review about the restaurant. Uncle Marco also bought a car to be used as a foodtruck as Kara's advice to expand the sales range.
Kara is very happy and proud, her review is a recommendation for readers.
By noon Nindy walked into Kara's room and approached her desk.
"Where are you going to eat this afternoon?"
"Burger's on the other side, I don't want to review anything."
"If you want, I bring rice and rendang. Go to the pantry room, if you're done with your work!"
"All right, thank you."
Nindy leaves Kara still struggling in front of the screen writing monitors for articles next Sunday.
The phone rang as Kara was about to go to the pantry room.
"Hi, how are you Kara?"
"Well, how's it going in there?"
"I miss you Kara! I'd like to finish my schedule here and see you soon."
Said laughing hearing Kevin complain of missing himself.
"Have you eaten?"
"In a moment, it's heading for the pantry, Nindy's making lunch for me."
"Well, eat first, I'll call you later tonight!"
Kara headed to the pantry impatiently wanting to try Nindy's rendang.
Mike, Miranda, and Beth are having lunch too.
Kara enjoys lunch with her friends, while joking.
After lunch they returned to their respective rooms and continued their work.
Kara's phone is ringing
"Kara!"
"Yes Andy, what's wrong?"
"Kara, please help me prepare to open the booth for the culinary festival in the city park. The shop opened a stand there for a month. Aunt Mary gave us permission to lend us a warehouse to use to open a pop-up restaurant."
"Andy, but I'm not on vacation."
"Kara, Emily is pregnant young at this time, she often has morning sickness, doctors do not allow long trips. The truck's been gone since night, likely today to get to Aunt's place. Ben, Timmy, and Emma are helping out there. I'll leave tomorrow morning."
"Wow, I'll be an Aunt, congratulations to you" Kara exclaimed.
"Yes, thanks. Kara please help me!"
"Is there a fee for?"
"Geez Kara! Look, your name is still on the store owner's list, so it's still half yours!"
Kara was shocked to hear Andy's reply.
"really?" tannya
"Yes, I still need your help my sister. Let's work together again to advance this business!"
"I'll think about it," Kara sighed.
"Let's meet the team at Aunt Mary's."
"Hm... Alright."
"Daddy..."
Andy hung up his phone, and Kara was still stunned by Andy's words.
After office hours, Kara headed to Aunt Mary's warehouse, not too far from Love Bakery. Kara sees a truck with a logo that she is very familiar with, Kara smiles proudly. However, it now belongs to Andy, his older brother.
From a distance he knew a familiar figure.
"Ben!" call Kara. Ben turned his head towards the voice calling out, how surprised he was to see Kara. Ben ran to greet Kara, hugged her for a moment, and stared in disbelief.
"I don't think you're coming Miss."
"I'll help you as long as I can."
"Let's go ahead, it's Timmy, Emma, Nina, and Pat" Ben introduces the tavern team he brought to work on during the festival.
"For how pop up restaurants?"
"Sir Andy is going to recruit part-time workers here,"
"Like me," Kara sighed.
Ben shook his head, "No Miss, you remain our superior." Kara frowned when she heard Ben's reply.
Ben brews coffee for Kara, and gives it to her. Kara breathed in the aroma of coffee that she was very familiar with and longed for.
"Pancakes and waffles should be there tomorrow" Ben said.
"I can help after work and on weekends only" Kara replied.
"No problem. We're so glad Miss can help us."
Kara chatted with Ben and the others.Sometimes they laughed at each other while telling funny things about the tavern. There is a small customer who idolizes Kara, it turns out she is a Hollywood child artist. Kara was very surprised to know that.
Kara is very happy to know a lot of developments from the store. The day is getting late, Kara said goodbye and promised that tomorrow will come again to help after work.
Arriving at the apartment, Kara flushed her body in the shower. After the shower, Kara picks up her phone, and presses Kevin's number,
"Kara...!"scream Kevin.
"Jeez Kev, why yell?"
"Where are you? I call not lifted!" Kevin sounded annoyed.
"I've got a little extra work, Andy's opening a booth at a culinary festival this week, so I'm helping him. Andy called and asked for help all of a sudden." Kara Bright.
"Yes yes... " Keel sounded relieved.
"How was your day today?"
"Meeting went well, maybe I'll be more busy during the project."
"Success is always for your work!"
"Kara's...."
"Yes.."
"I miss you, I can't wait to go home to see you," Kevin said softly, to Kara's crisp laughter, making Kevin feel even more homesick.
They ended the conversation. Kara headed for the balcony looking at the city view from her room.
He was still thinking about his shop, there was a longing to be tucked back into work in the tavern. Cooking, meeting with customers, or even being able to joke with them.
Kara remembered all the memories of her time at the shop. The memories of Josh reappear, when he first meets Josh, then meets Josh, Josh invites him out.
Kara suddenly missed everything, but she felt all the memories remained. He's handed the store to Andy, and Josh...
Kara remembers Andy's words on the phone.
Is there a chance for me? I am starting to enjoy my new job now
For some time Kara pondered on the balcony of the apartment, then she opened her laptop, to write some articles.
Kara looked at the photo of herself and Josh at the table. Kara covered her face with her hands and tears streaming down the corner of her eyes.
The store, Josh, loses, starts a new life, encounters with Kevin, and the relationship he's in right now. Kara looked back at herself. Convince yourself to start it all.
"I'm sorry Josh! May you not be angry and disappointed with me!"
Kara looked at their photo and hugged it.
The night is getting late, Kara is getting snuggled. He closed his laptop, turned off the room lights, and headed for his bed. Kara placed the photo on the nightstand, looked at it for a moment, then closed her eyes.
