The One Night Stand

The One Night Stand
Impelled

Kara walked down the road to the car that morning. He left early in the morning to enjoy his journey.

He enjoyed the scenery along the way, listening to the radio broadcast he played.

His head recalled the memories of a few years ago when he and Josh went through this path, singing in their own individual tones, then enjoy popcorn or while chewing hotdogs purchased near the pom while refueling.

Kara misses Josh. I don't know, even though he has met a lot of men in his life, only Josh gives a deep impression in his life.

Sometimes he wonders if Josh is still around, and learns that he has a son from another woman, and Kara meets Kevin.

Ah... I've been hallucinating too much considering you Josh.

Kara drinks her coffee while continuing to focus on driving.

Kara recalls all the memories with Kevin, her first meeting, then her stupid act with Kevin the night before Cindy's wedding. Kara thinks if she did it while still with Josh, maybe they would hate each other to old age. Kara smiled amusedly imagining her own thoughts.

Kevin's family is very kind to him, but Josh's family also accepts him.

It's been four years since he communicated with Josh's parents. Kara once visited Josh's grave, but did not visit them.

Kara thought about her mother's words about the silahturahmi with Josh's family.

Kara has entered the small town. He deliberately heads to the city center to buy flowers and fruit hands for Josh's parents.

Kara parked the car in front of the flower shop, choosing a bouquet of flowers to make a pilgrimage to Josh's grave.

After that he walked to a cake shop across the street. The smell of cake and bread teased him. Kara tuned her camera to make her video footage.

Kara walked into the store, not too crowded, but there were always people who came to buy profit.

Kara was interested in trying donuts and muffins while trying the bakery's flagship hot chocolate. Kara sat in a chair by the window waiting for her order to arrive.

Some of the people who entered noticed Kara who looked unfamiliar to them, but what was more striking was when Kara was busy taking photos and making videos.

Finished enjoying her order, Kara ordered some donuts, muffins, and sweet bread for by.

Kara heads to the end of the village where Josh's burial area is buried.

Cold air blew as if greeting Kara, making her justify her coat. Kara walks down the path, towards Josh's final resting place.

Kara puts her bouquet over Josh's grave, momentarily praying for him.

Kara stared at Josh's belly button for a while. He felt that right now Josh was beside him, accompanying him.

The memories with Josh again flashed in Kara's head, like a video slide that played. Kara has forgiven Josh, about Josh and Stella's past.

Kara felt her burden as if it had slipped from her head. His body felt lighter and his heart was happier.

Kara turns to continue to Josh's parents' house feeling happier and unburdened.

Kara passed the Kevin family estate, and there was a longing in her chest. It felt like he wanted to run to meet Kevin and hold him tightly, apologizing for his confusing attitude all along.

Kara stopped the car in the spacious courtyard. He got out of the car, did not forget to bring the parcel, and headed to the door.

Kara knocks on the door, footsteps come to the door, and the door opens.

"Kara..?" Josh's mother was surprised to see Kara standing in front of him.

Kara smiles, hugs Josh's mother, and is handed over by him.

Josh's mother lets in, Kara follows from behind. Kara sits in the kitchen room facing the river.

"How are Mom and Dad?" ask Kara.

"Since Josh's departure, this is what our lives have been like. Dad, always busy himself in the store." said Mom.

Kara nods her head to understand Mom and Dad's situation.

Kara enjoys the tea Mother made while chatting about her work.

I heard the car arrive shortly. Dad walks into the house, shocked to see Kara coming to his house.

Dad hugged Kara with affection and praised his youtube channel, it turns out Dad is one of the fans of the show.

"I finally found Marco my long-lost friend while pitting the fate of the big city. Thanks to you I was able to contact her again and can hear her voice back."

"Uncle Marco?"

"Yes, he was my best friend at school, then he worked at your Papa's restaurant, and then he went to the big city to complain about his fate. I haven't heard from her since, until I accidentally saw your channel from Noah." Father lowered his voice when he mentioned Noah's name. He realizes his mistake, but Kara is normal and switches the conversation around telling him about Uncle Marco and his pizza parlor.

I heard the door knock, and then opened.

"Grandfather, Grandma..!" call a boy.

Then the boy stood there staring at Kara.

"Aunt Kara..!" Noah ran towards Kara and hugged her tightly.

Stella rushed in and fell silent at the sight.

"Hi Noah, how are you? How's school?" ask Kara after taking off Noah's arms.

" I'm now the class president. I'm not on the school football team anymore. I'm just trying to go to basketball." the boy said.

"Oh, basketball's good too."

"How did Auntie get here?" Noah curious.

"I was waiting here on purpose." Kara blinked one eye at Noah.

Noah saw the muffin pack, and then he devoured it. Noah tells the school, his friends, to his teacher to Kara. Kara listens patiently, sometimes chiming in.

Stella has seen Kara and Noah's familiarity, so she's just plain, but for Josh's parents it's very confusing.

Stella invites Kara to walk outside the house that afternoon.

Noah went with his grandfather to the store.

"How's your relationship with Jeff?" Kara started the question.

"Okay, we're in a time of introspection of each of us."

"You separated?"

"No, but we rarely met. I'm busy with work, and so is Jeff."

"Maybe you guys need a little refreshing."

"Yes, it seems to be true." Stella smiled brightly.

"Jeff is loyal, he's never weird weird, he's sincere when he likes someone."

"It turns out you know her better than I do" Stella said.

"We've been best friends since childhood, and he's followed me and Claire everywhere." Kara laughed in memory of her old school days. Stella laughs at Jeff's school days with Kara and Claire.

"You know, sometimes I envy you" Stella said, to Kara's surprise.

"Yes, Josh used to prefer you, then Kevin. Needless to say, Kevin has labeled himself by your name. Now look at Noah. She idolizes you so much." continued Stella.

Kara just kept listening to Stella until she finished.

"I want to be friends with you Stell. Forget about our past, and let's look to each other's future. You and I have the right to be happy."

Stella didn't think Kara would talk like that. He hugs Kara, he feels that Kara is sincere with all her words
