Kevin shut down his laptop, "Henry, is there another agenda today?"

Henry heads to Kevin's desk and checks the tab, "After this, you have to go to the White House to discuss the security system program with the Vice President."

Kevin is silent, thinking about the meeting this time is very important, but he also wants to meet with Kara, finally he decided to meet Kara after the meeting. She wants to finish her job soon so she can meet Kara and explain everything.

Kara woke up from her sleep with a heavy head. Some days he is busy writing articles and working on his YouTube channel, so he only sleeps a few hours.

"Kara, are you okay?" ask Jeff on his cell phone.

Today Kara promised to accompany Jeff to find a gift for Stella, they met at the cafe yesterday. However, after nearly an hour of waiting for Kara not to come, Jeff became worried.

"Yes, sorry Jeff, I don't seem to be feeling well" Kara said in an almost inaudible voice while holding her hot forehead.

"Oh, all right, get some rest..!" before closing the phone, there was the sound of a falling object in Kara's place.

"Kar... Kara... are you okay? Where's your place?" no answer from Kara, making Jeff anxious.

Cindy.....

Yeah, the one name Jeff had in mind was Cindy. Jeff opens his contact list looking for Cindy's name, and calls her.

Long time.. silence.....

The umpteenth call, Jeff was getting anxious....

"Hello..," Cindy's voice softly.

"Cindy, this is Jeff, where does Kara live?"

Silent for a moment, maybe Cindy was confused, why Jeff contacted her, then asked Kara.

"For what?" Cindy was still in a cold tone.

"I'm in Washington. We met an appointment, but Kara doesn't seem to be feeling well, I'm worried what's going on with her." Jeff finally told the truth.

Cindy takes a look for her notebook, and mentions Kara's address. Jeff thanked me, but before the phone closed Cindy asked Jeff to provide information about Kara next.

Jeff immediately rushed towards the address Cindy gave him. He knocked on Kara's unit door, Jeff waited a long time, until the door opened.

"Kara's.." Jeff catches Kara's limp body, his body feels hot.

Jeff called 911 for help.

Not long after, the medical team soon arrived, Kara was rushed to the hospital, Jeff accompanied her.

After Kara's condition stabilizes, Jeff heads to the hospital corridor to contact Cindy, "Jeff, how's Kara? What happened to him?" Cindy asked anxiously across there.

"Kara's been handled well. He is stable now, but still weak. He's in the central hospital." Jeff tells Kara's condition so Cindy doesn't worry.

"Thank you for your help, Jeff. I don't know what to do, if anything happens to Kara."

Jeff ended the conversation and promised to keep Kara's progress informed.

Cindy was stunned after Jeff ended the call. Tucked longingly in her chest, Cindy stroked her bulging belly.

Yes, he has fond memories of Jeff, the adorable romantic guy according to Cindy.

When Cindy felt hard to connect long distance when Jeff continued his studies, Cindy ended their relationship, which was actually no problem. There was a bit of regret in Cindy's heart, but she was soon pushed aside. She is married to Brian, but not a doctor, Brian is Cindy's dream husband, and in a few months they will become parents.

The call was not responded to at all, Cindy texted Kevin.

Kara's in the hospital.

Kevin walked in tandem with Henry the White House, he handed back the sign at the reception, to their vehicle.

Kevin walked over while checking his phone, some calls from Cindy, he opened the incoming message and read it. Kevin paused for a moment.

"I'm going to the hospital. Sorry you have to go home alone."

Henry nodded in understanding, he immediately passed after Kevin thanked him.

Kevin drove his car to the hospital feeling chaotic and anxious.

Arriving at the hospital, Kevin searches for information in the nursing room.

Jeff stepped in the hospital corridor, the distinctive smell of the hospital gushing through his lungs, remembering the events of a dozen years ago when his father and mother were in an accident and taken to the hospital. Since then Kevin did not like the smell of the hospital, and as much as possible avoid entering the hospital area because of the trauma of the incident at that time.

Kevin took a deep breath as he reached Kara's room, he opened the door. Right at the same time Kara woke up. Kevin headed to the bed, staring at Jeff with a dislike look.

Kevin recalled the incident yesterday, Kara was both with the man, jealous infiltrated his chest. Kevin looked at Jeff coldly.

Jeff was surprised when Kevin arrived to enter, especially looking at him coldly as if he did not like. Kara never told her about her lover, but Jeff was very sure this man was Kara's close friend.

"Kara's situation has stabilized. Her body has a fever and her blood pressure is low. Kara has to rest a lot for a while." Jeff informs Kara of Kevin, who is still staring intently and coldly at Jeff.

"Oh, I'm Jeff, Kara's schoolmate first. I happen to be a doctor, so I know Kara's condition right now." Jeff noticed the stiffness that was going on between Kevin and himself.

Jeff reached out his hand of acquaintance, greeted by Kevin with a nod of "Kevin."

Kara watches everything with a smile, knowing that Kevin is jealous of Jeff.

"Jeff thank you for everything, sorry to trouble you. God, I forgot that today I promised to accompany you!" Kara patted her forehead.

"It's Kar, health is more important. Take a break, and eat regularly! Looks like that's the cause of your current condition," Jeff looked at Kara and Kevin alternately.

"Yes, this is Kevin, and Kevin is Jeff. Jeff's my best friend since elementary school. Jeff this is Kevin, he's Cindy's brother-in-law," Kara introduced the two who were still standing stiff, and called out Cindy's sister-in-law's sentence while whispering a little to Jeff.

"Okay, it seems like you've accompanied me, I'll go." Jeff bidding.

"Jeff, when's your flight?" ask Kara.

"Tomorrow I'll go back to LA."

"I'm sorry, I can't keep my word with you!" kara said with regret.

"Tomorrow when you go home to LA, Miss. You still have promise debt to me" Jeff exclaimed, pointing at Kara.

Kara still remembered her promise and ended up laughing. "Definitely, don't forget to introduce him to me!"

"Yes, I'll introduce him to you."

Jeff patted Kara on the shoulder, before rushing off.

Kevin saw that the incident could only be silent, suddenly stiffness attacked him.

Kevin and Kara looked at each other, after Jeff left the room.
