Ep 92's. Presentation Day
King Wei took Se Se to the sky show that was held every five years. They set off in a carriage driven by Yu.
"What's wrong with him today? He looks creepy." Se Se Se's inner.
Yu stopped the horse carriage right in front of the palace door. King Wei helped Se Se get off the horse carriage, he was worried about the girl because her body had not recovered due to the twin labor.
King Wei clasped Se Se's hand and walked into the Worship Hall. The Emperor and all the members of the kingdom and the Minister were already there.
King Wei saluted the Emperor, he brought Se Se to a seat. The weather at that time was very hot, the sunlight that felt hot made sweat wet his Empress face.
The show starts when the sun is directly overhead. A priest read a book and danced with a wooden sword in his hand. Se Se held back a laugh when he saw the priest dancing.
"The people of the royal era were very superstitious, they even believed in this rowdy priest." Se Se's mind.
King Wei seemed to understand Se Se's thoughts, he whispered into the girl's ear. "Sttt. Don't laugh, they'll have the Emperor punish you if you insult this offering."
Se Se nodded, he held back his laughter by looking the other way. His eyes widened as he stared at the several assassins on the roof of the palace building, they pointed a bow towards Han Ze Xing.
"Crown Prince... Watch out!" Se Se shouted in a panicked voice.
King Wei ran towards Han Ze Xing. With his bare hands, he caught the arrow that shot into his nephew's body.
"Supervisors... Protect the Emperor and the Crown Prince!" king Wei's orders in a loud voice.
Se Se was in the middle of a crowd of Ministers trying to avoid assassins. Her weakened body from childbirth was unable to move as nimbly as usual.
Yu saw Se Se being pushed by some Ministers, he immediately helped the girl. Yu pulled Se Se's hand and kept the girl away from the crowd. While King Wei was still busy fighting the assassins and protecting Han Ze Xing.
King Wei felt guilty for not putting Se Se Se's safety first. But she was jealous when she saw Yu clutching her empress' hand.
Yu brought Se Se into the empty room. "Sir, stay here and don't come out. I have to help His Majesty fight the assassins who entered the palace." Yu said.
Se Se nodded, he was unable to refute because his weak body would not be able to help them.
Yu came out of the room and returned to the offering hall, he fought the assassins together with King Wei. No matter how many corpses were already lying around, the assassins were like endless.
"King Wei told Han Ze Xing to leave from there. Han Ze Xing walked into the same room as Se Se. Almost his head became a bullet nest, fortunately Se Se had not had time to shoot a gun in his hand.
"Hufff..."
Se Se sighed and lowered his hand.
"Are you okay, Empress?" ask Han Ze Xing.
"I'm fine, you're the target of the killer." replied Se Se.
"Thank you for saving my life again" Han Ze Xing said.
Se Se smiled and replied, "I'll charge you, so there's no need to Thank You."
"The empress can still joke around in these conditions, completely similar to Uncle." Han Ze Xing said.
"Of course, because I am his wife" Se Se replied with an eyebrow raise.
"Hahaha." they laughed together.
Han Ze Xing felt even more relieved seeing that the girl's attitude was still the same as before. He would try to let go of this girl's love and consider her a good friend.
Se Se felt dizzy, he almost fell down. Han Ze Xing caught the girl, Se Se's body falling in his arms.
"Brakkk!"
King Wei opened the door and saw the incident of Se Se in Han Ze Xing's arms. His face turned a dead red, he looked at Han Ze Xing and Se Se with anger. Jealousy blinds his heart and mind.
King Wei approached and pulled Se Se's arm violently, he looked at Han Ze Xing and said, "Keep away from my empress!"
"Xuans... "
Se Se called King Wei slowly. King Wei did not reply, he turned his face away from Se Se.
"Xuans... "
Se Se called out to him again, hoping that the young man would melt. But King Wei still did not answer.
"Hufffs... "
Se Se sighed, he then thought of the most powerful way to get King Wei's attention.
"Akhh...!"
Se Se groaned and held his stomach, King Wei immediately turned his head to look at the girl. With an anxious face he asked, "Are you hurt?"
"He he he..." Se Se chuckled at King Wei's anxious face.
King Wei soon realized that he was being deceived, "Ck.
"Darling... are you still angry?" asked Se Se with a spoiled voice.
"I'm not angry!" king Wei replied in an annoyed tone, he turned his face again.
"Why are you turning your face away? Don't you want to see my face?" asked Se Se again with a made-up cute voice.
King Wei turned to look at his wife, he hugged and kissed Se Se. "I'm sorry, my feelings are bad today. When I saw Han Ze Xing hugging you, my blood instantly boiled, I felt like killing him right then and there."
"Haha... You idiot!" se Se Gumam Se.
"You call me stupid?" asked King Wei with an annoyed face.
"Xuan is indeed the stupid man I've known." replied Se Se with a smile on his face.
"I was also angry as Yu clasped your hand" King Wei said as he rubbed Se Se's hand as if erasing the other man's grip from there.
"They were just trying to save me" Se Se said.
"Not even touch my woman!" replied King Wei with his domineering tone.
"Alright, I'll clean up their touch marks later when I get to the residence. Stop acting like children, Xuan is already a father now." Se Se said by stroking King Wei's head.
"My empress is the best woman I've ever had" King Wei said as he leaned his head against his wife's shoulder.
"Xuan...what are you thinking about since this morning?" ask Se Se curiously.
"I think of many things, I think of my Mother." replied King Wei with watery eyes.
"Yu, take us to Mount Li'An. I want to see my mother." King Wei ordered.
"Your Majesty." replied Yu.
