The Rise Of Legend [LIGHTNING]

The Rise Of Legend [LIGHTNING]
Chapter 15 Ellena's Ability

Ellena closes her book and picks up a second. Seeing it Nora powerless did not ask—hampir scream, “Tuan—not...El, that..it...what El really finished reading the book?”

Ellena nodded despite her eyes staring cluelessly at Nora's behavior which was like seeing her grow a slanted tail.

“El has really read it? Fast once.”

Ellena snorted small. He forgot that Nora had never seen him read a book. And actually Ellena also has no intention of showing this ability if she is not in a hurry.

Aunt Em always said Ellena was a special kid. One of his specialties is his ability to read very quickly. Emily taught Ellena to read and write at the age of three. This reading speed is also a problem when a child because little Ellena will cry loudly because she runs out of reading that can be read by children her age. As a result Emily was forced to teach Ellena a more difficult word so that the child could read for himself the thick books in her library.

“I'll explain sometime. Now take ten steps back. The sound of your breath interrupts my concentration.” His words were immediately obeyed Nora who had previously apologized first. Unwilling to return to Aunt Em's shop alone, Nora ends up sitting on the floor of the store and reading the recipe book she has bought.

Lucky Isaac—which turned out to be the owner of Tori Book store this— does not mind the presence of both. Isaac was shocked by Ellena's speed. Instead of hysterical like Nora, the old man was amazed by Ellena's ability.

“Seventy-three of my life and I just met a talent like you. Son El, I dare to guarantee not for a month you will spend the entire book in this store.” Isaac said that made Ellena a little embarrassed. Ellena did not know herself to read all the books but was reluctant to buy. And hey, Ellena's not that tough.

Isaac then left Ellena and Nora immersed in their respective readings. If viewed from afar will be seen the striking difference in the atmosphere of the pair of Servants. The pretty little waitress was very calm reading and understanding the book word by word on her lap. On the other hand, the master who was not big was flipping through books at an inhuman speed and then changing to other books quickly.

Two hours later Nora was startled by the sound of a book closing violently. The boy looked up and saw that his master was no longer visible because he was drowning in the thinnest mountain of books two centimeters.

Before long Ellena moved from her seat straightening her rather stiff bones then turned to Nora, “Let's go find lunch after returning all these books.” Nora carries out Ellena's orders without objection.

Then the two said goodbye to Isaac and thanked him. Ellena did not go home empty-handed and bought three of the thickest books she had not yet read.

“Nak El, wait!”

Not far away Ellena and Nora left the Tori Book store, heard Isaac's voice calling. Ellena immediately approached the old man who had difficulty chasing after her, until his breath was stung.

“Mr Isaac, what's wrong? You should have told your employees if any items were left behind.” Ellena said to the old man. He was a little worried seeing that the old man had a bit of difficulty regulating his breathing.

Isaac smiled a little, “Sorry I was too excited. But son El, I want to give you this myself. Accept it, consider it a gift from me.” Isaac handed him a book tied to an animal skin belt. The book looks old.

“What book is this, Mr Isaac?”

Isaac chuckles little, “A local fairy tale. It was the first book I bought myself with my first salary money as well.”

Ellena frowned, not understanding Isaac's intention of giving her a shabby fairy tale book.

“I have no intention of offending you son El, but I remember the man who sold this fairy tale book once said to give this book to a special young man.” Isaac's explanation is getting strange but because this old man has been kind to him then Ellena accepts the book and promises to read it in between time.

“Goodbye son El. Hopefully we can still meet again in the future.” Ellena smiled sweetly at the old man, praying that the god would be kind enough to bring them together in the future even if only for a moment.

Ellena and Nora then go on to find a suitable tavern for their lunch.

Ellena nodded casually, “Iya. Just a small gift kok.”

“What is it?”

“A fur coat from a wolf skin black fur that I got on the way to Lily.” village Ellena did not try to hide her gift to aunt Em. Remember Ellena who asked Linda for her wolf skin? A month ago Ellena brought the raw leather to the craftsman and asked to be made into a coat for adult women.

The result is pretty good. The coat model is simple but elegant when worn by her aunt who is beautiful and slim. Black color with accents of aesthetically carved foliage.

Nora was somewhat silent after Ellena told her the details of the coat she gave to aunt Em. And Ellena who came here more sensitive with Nora was aware of the exprey of the boy's face in front of her.

“Other times I will give you a gift, especially for you so do not be envious and eat quickly. We go to the Guild after this.” Tukas Ellena pitched like a lazy sister persuading her sulking sister. Nora grimaced unsatisfactoryly but was not denied there was a sweet smile when the boy finished his meal.

Ellena led the way towards the Adventure Guild building. The building is in the middle of Delos city which is not far from the mayor's residence. It was the busiest place after the market in Delos. But instead of containing civilians but most of those who fill the place are adventurers who all wear armor and carry weapons.

Inside the building was extremely crowded, the number of visitors was three times that of the Guild in Lily village. It is clear that the population of Delos is more. Various activities such as mission discussions, recruitment of mission party members, registration of members to the sale and purchase of hunted animals. Because it was not comparable in number to men than women, the place was more akin to a den of robbers.

As an adventurer, Ellena was already used to this kind of sight. In contrast to Nora who immediately close herself to him while hiding her face with a hooded robe that Ellena deliberately bought. He also wears a robe similar to Nora— in greenish color.

“Welcome. Want to register as an Adventurer Guild member?” greet an Admin who is a young girl. Ellena guessed the girl in front of her just a few years on it—seventeen probably.

“No. I want to register for the Ranker.” Exam Answer Ellena.

“Oh, in Rank are you now?” ask the Admin who introduced himself as Amel and wrote something on one of the papers on the pedestal.

“ Rank C.” Admin Amel wrote again.

“Can I see your member card?” without asking much Ellena handed over her Guild member card.

The next minute Ellena filled the time by reading one of the books that had been bought while waiting for Admin Amel to complete his registration. While Nora is still trying to unite herself with Ellena, she hopes that no one will be aware of her existence. The boy was terrified to see the looks of the men who looked the same as the faces of the kidnappers, although actually not who really noticed a little boy like Nora whose face alone was not visible. Oh do not forget the presence of Ellena who although small but gives off an odd aura that makes others not want to look for trouble with her.

While in Xeain's tutelage, one of what the old man taught him was to give off the aura of a warrior. The Aura of a Warrior was an aura that only talented people could emit. Being strong does not mean that the person is talented because there are limits that can be achieved. Conversely people who could give off the aura of a Warrior could be said to be stronger than the strong standards in general and usually these people had an important role in society even in the empire.

This aura gives influence to others that the owner of the aura is an untouchable person. The Aura Warrior became an alarm for others not to try to look for trouble with the owner. For Ellena, because she was still very new, the aura of her Warrior was not too perfect or strong to make others faint but at least enough to tell that Ellena was not a random person.
