Episode 40: Connection

A woman and a man were in the room. Darren was reading a book in their bed, while the woman next to him was talking to his best friend Elena over a phone call.

Valerei pressed the call button. He waited, until the sound of the second connection, Elena had already picked him up. "Elena, what's wrong? I'm sorry I just called."

"It's okay brother, I know brother's busy."

"What's the matter, baby?"

"It looks like Ha Joon's sister and Ji Hyo are getting a divorce."

His voice was high, but not screaming. "Divorce?"

Darren turned around when he heard his wife say the haram word. Valerei was surprised they looked at each other.

"Elena, what are you talking about, what's wrong?"

"Ji Hyo said that Ha Joon's brother cheated on him, not wanting to listen to anyone. Brother can come here? I told you he had to think well, maybe not right but he got stubborn."

"Where are you?"

"Larry's home."

"I'm there."

Valerei cut off the phone with Elena. Darren stopped reading, took off his glasses. He saw Valerei

"What's going on?" Ask.

"Ji Hyo asked for a divorce, I have to go to Wang's residence now."

Darren nodded taking his jacket and Valerei's. "wear." Valerei looked at him somewhat astonished but he did not ask. "Come on!"

"Dear." Ha Joon is still standing in front of Ji Hyo's room. She clasped the divorce papers from Ji Hyo. Too rushed, Ji Hyo to ask the Wang family lawyer to come, Larry could not do anything. Ji Hyo is his sister, even to help Ha Joon alone he can't. Ji Hyo threatens to do bad things if Larry helps Ha Joon. Really, simalakama fruit.

"Dear, please!" Ha Joon knelt down begging his wife to open the door and listened to her explanation. However, begging like anything, Ji Hyo did not care.

From the end of the hallway, three people were looking at him. They're concerned. "What am I supposed to do? they're my family." Larry was dizzy, He just needed to figure out the truth and finish, but his sister was really unusual, her emotions and stubbornness were number one.

He couldn't do everything stealthily, Ji Hyo would know. Larry guessed the person who made Ji Hyo like this must not be an ordinary person, until his sister who loved Ha Joon very much could be tricked.

Larry remembers when he tried to help Ha Joon. In just a few minutes, he got a threatening message that anyone should not help Ha Joon, Ji Hyo even attached a photo of herself holding a knife with her right hand, she would slice her left hand. Larry's crazy, he doesn't want anything to happen to his sister.

"Who is that!" He was frustrated, only this time there were people who dared to disturb his family.

"Whoever he is, must be an influential person. Maybe it's your enemies or Ha Joon's enemies." Rey said it's true, Larry thought, lately he's not looking for trouble or anyone looking for trouble at him.

"You sure? maybe you're bothering his wife?" said Rey looking at her best friend who was looking at her cynically. "Your mouth needs to be cleaned!" larry's words invite Rey's slow laugh. He could be kidding.

Darren got out of the car with his wife, Valerei. The guards guarding the Wang residence were nowhere to be seen. Only when they entered the mansion did some of the guards come from the west door. Because it was midnight they changed shifts.

"Mr Darren, Mrs Valerei" said one of the bodyguards, she lowered her head slightly on Darren and Valerei. Valerei always wondered to some of her best friend's bodyguards, they called her Madam when she was not the wife of the host.

Valerei and Darren were a bit far apart. They, the bodyguards did not think at all about their relationship. "Larry's on top?" ask Valerei kindly.

"Please" he led the two to follow him.

"Is it because of Mr Ha Joon's problem that they're here?" asked one of the bodyguards who had just arrived, he saw Valerei and Darren climbing up the stairs.

"I heard the opponent this time was heavy, maybe that's why Mister called Mr. Darren." Answer

"Then Lady Valerei?" ask him again, he does not know them very well because he only entered a few weeks ago.

"Yes, call Miss, she's not married." Her speech.

"Mrs."

"Yes already." They're goin. The conversation was still going on, one of them explaining how his boss and Valerei were related.

Valerei sees Elena talking to Rey and Larry. "Elena." call her. The three people who were there turned around. "You coming?"

"Yes. Where is Ha Joon?" ask him and Valerei follows Larry's index finger in front.

The next second, Darren came with Are.

"Darren?" surprised Larry saw the arrival of Darren, he has not told his best friend how Darren can be here, inner Larry.

"Can we talk?" Valerei brought Elena down to the Wang family room, they followed. Valerei turned to look at the four people who were following him. "Why come?"

"Say she'll talk?" plain word Larry

"I mean Elena" said Valerei looking at her best friend. "About what? Ha Joon, right? We're coming too." Larry stepped closer to them and sat down first on his couch. Valerei looked at Elena confused and sat down to follow Larry. Those who stood there also sat down.

Valerei gulped down his drink that Wang's servant had prepared before he started talking. "Ji Hyo said what?"

Elena began to tell what Ji Hyo said, including the help Larry gave her. They heard seriously what happened until it was over. "Can see the message."

"Of course, sister, I took a screenshot and sent it to my phone." Elena gave me her phone. Valerei looked at the number of the person, there was a familiar feeling when reading it.

"He's not an ordinary person?" Valerei just muttered.

"Why Va?" ask Larry who doesn't listen too much.

"You're not helping?" now that Darren's talking, he's looking at Rey.

Rey shakes. "I can't either."

"Can't how?" darren asked back. "Darren, you've heard, too, that person knows if anyone's helping Ha Joon."

"You stupid?"

"You mean?" Rey can't accept being said to be stupid by Darren.

"That's what I said." Darren insisted that Rey look at him with dislike but could do nothing.

"Tumben are you looking for Darren's problem? usually besides Hyuk, you're the wisest." Larry.

"It's not looking for trouble." Darren shook his head and called someone. He spoke Korean with a dialect making Larry pat his forehead slowly. He completely forgot about Ho young, Rey realized that he was a bit slow.

After his phone dies, Darren sees his best friend.

"If you have money, be smart. That's what Hyuk said, if you want to get angry, just wait for him to come home."

"What did Ho Young say?" Ask Rey

"He'll be watching Ji Hyo. Have your men back Larry." Darren stands.

"We met again when Ho Young came." She went.

The problem is not simple. What befell Ha Joon right now might just be a diversion. This person, is likely the same as the person who terrorized Valerei, the inner Darren.

His analysis was not without reason, he looked at the character of that person while sending a message. It could have been that the person was unconscious or deliberately making such a flashy thing. Darren sees in every message sent. Every time you finish with a sentence, the person marks the dot 2 times. That writing habit seemed strange to him.
