The Slayers

The Slayers
Chapter 107 (Season 3)

*BOOM*

A loud explosion sounded. The voice came from a mountain near the Slayers academy. And the cause is none other than Johan.

Johan sped up quickly and hit the mountain. Fortunately, the damage was not severe. Still, the feeling Johan had as he darted and his body burned like a meteor was uncomfortable.

"Ugh..."

Johan looked around and there was no one, it was quiet and lonely.

But it was profitable for Johan. If anyone saw him fall like a meteor while holding a luxurious sword, he would be hit by trouble.

Johan will also soon fly towards his dorm secretly, but the Seraphim stop him.

[Hei Johan, don't fly just yet. You want to fly with that big, heavy sword?]

"I don't know how to hide this sword. So I'll be careful and try not to get caught."

[. wait a minute.]

Johan wondered why the Seraphim stopped him, but it was risky to carry a large, heavy sword and plus this sword was very striking and its color was easily recognizable. But he had no choice.

His curiosity was answered immediately afterwards. The Seraphim gave rise to a book that looked ancient and obsolete.

"What's this?"

[It is dimensional codex for storing goods. It's like a long lost inventory.]

"Ooh! It's cool! Thank you Sera!"

[It's my duty as your patron, Johan.]

Johan then opened the Dimensional codex. No writing, just blank sheets.

"How do I use it?"

[Slightly, just close one part of the Gram sword and flow a little mana.]

Johan tried according to Seraphim's instructions. He brought the tip of the sword closer and miraculously the Gram sword slowly turned into a grain of light and stuck to the sheets of the book.

Slowly, all the grains of light became a piece of writing.

"Whoah...."

Johan read the dimensional codex that some pages are filled with writing. As Johan read the writing, it turned out that it was a story about the origin of the Gram sword. Johan intended to read it, but he had to enter his dorm first.

Now, he could go to the dormitory in a normal way. Walk casually looking at the plants in the beautiful academy.

"Sister Johan!"

A voice called out to Johan. Female voice, but people must know from her voice that it is tomboyish.

And at sight, a woman with dark blue hair, disheveled, was cut to reach her shoulders and her bangs covered her right eye. Next to her was a petite woman with dark blue hair and two pigtails. Her face was cute and her cheeks looked soft, but her face was very flat.

They are none other than Grace and Rise Randell or who are usually nicknamed twinstar by people.

"Oh, Grace, Rise, what are you doing here?"

"We're out for a walk, brother, what are you doing?" Ask Grace back.

"Just like you guys."

Grace looked at Johan whose clothes were a bit shabby and was holding a book that looked worn and bulky. Curiosity in Grace immediately churned.

"What book is that, brother? Can I see?"

"Errr, this is..." Johan thought of a definite and unsuspicious reason. Finally, he found out for a reason.

"...this is a novel I wrote for a hobby."

"Why do you write in a book that's as old and dirty as that?"

"Errr, this is the book that my caretaker mother once gave me. Because my caretaker mother knew I liked writing a fantasy story, she gave me this."

"Ooh..."

Grace nodded and did not ask again. But, shocking words came out from Rise.

"Sister, can I read the novel?"

Johan was immediately stunned by Rise's request. He did not expect that the very, very quiet Rise would want to read the book he was holding.

Johan himself only saw a little of it. But maybe this is like the history of the Gram sword.

'It's just like any other fantasy novel, right?'

"Read for a minute, yeah."

He handed the book he held to Rise. And surprisingly, Rise read very quickly.

He turned the page very quickly, and his eyes somehow moved nimbly.

Johan looked at Rise's facial expression the more she turned the page, as sad and moody as she was. And he stopped reading when it ended and the next page was a blank page.

Then, Rise closed the book quickly and handed it back to Johan. His expression was truly gloomy and there were a hint of tears at the corner of his eyes. It made Grace panic and made Johan confused.

"What's? Why are you sad Rise!?" Grace frantically asked Rise, but Rise was still silent.

If something made her sister hurt or cry, Grace would be vicious and disrespectful. He grabbed the book and read it.

Johan himself did not understand what happened. It's just a fantasy story, right? Thought Johan.

But it's a naive thought. Fantasy itself consists of many kinds and there are fantasy genres that are not suitable for children.

And in the dimensional codex, the Gram sword that turns into a fantasy story is a genre that is not at all suitable for children. The genre is Grimdark.

Grace who read the first page felt that the story was only about an ordinary sword and the manufacturing process. But he turned the page and read it. His face grew grim and he immediately closed the book, then he handed the book back to Johan.

"I can't believe I'm writing a story like this." Grace said with a little emotion.

"Eh, is there something wrong with my story?"

"Yes, even though your writing is very detailed, but I don't want to discuss it."

"Sister's writing is good. But you shouldn't have shown it to us. It's too depressing." Response Rise.

"Eh. okay, I'll make it even better."

"In that case, I'll go in first." Grace said, facing back, followed by Rise.

Johan also returned to the dormitory and entered his room. He cleaned himself up and then tried to read the story about the Gram sword.

And it turns out, it was indeed wrong to let the two of them read this. It was about war, murder, slaughter, and conquest.

Plus, the scene of his murder is described in great detail and the story ends with the tragic death of the hero Sigurd.

Back then, Johan was truly sorry.

***

"Yeah!"

"Slow."

"Yeahahah!"

"You're slow too."

This time, Alex and Norga were practicing using the weapons they had chosen. They get used to their heavy weapons.

They are getting used to it and know the basics. But they still felt heavy, especially Norga.

Norga has a slow attack speed. This made Alan a little worried at the time of the death.

"Hey, Norga, it looks like this weapon you chose is too heavy for you." Said Alan.

"Yes, right, but I like it."

"No matter how much you like it, if you're having trouble wearing it, it won't do any good."

Hearing the bitter reality thrown out by Alan, Norga could only smile bitterly.

"Find your weapons." Alan said

Alex and Norga give their guns to Alan. Of course Alan easily took up their weapons.

Alan put Norga's weapon which was a twin hammer to the ground and took a few steps back.

With the wedge that Alex chose in his hand. He attacked into empty air.

The movement is very agile and makes the wind around blow hard. Vertical, horizontal slashing, piercing and other movements are practiced neatly. Make Alex's jaw drop and make Norga yell "Holy ****!" clapping his hands.

Such a large weapon looked extremely light when held by Alan, when it was actually heavy.

Then Alan puts Alex's wedge and holds Norga's weapon which is a twin hammer.

Alan looked at the two hammers and then tried to wear them very nicely. Alex's mouth widened again and Norga's jaw dropped as well.

The movements practiced are truly beautiful and acrobatic like there is no burden preventing it from moving freely.

Alan after trying to put on the two weapons nodded in satisfaction and gave it to them again.

"You picked a weapon that wasn't on your level." Said Alan. "Both of these weapons are very good and comfortable to wear, because you are still level one, your movement is limited." Added.

Alan's words made Alex and Norga pout and regret. But Alan immediately made them cheerful again.

"Calm down, you can. Snake-level portals you can still conquer for that."

Before they returned home and continued training, they came to Slayers' office and bought a snake-level portal. The cleaning was done by two people and plus Alex and Norga were only level one making them both a joke of many people. They both expected it to happen, but it still hurt. But they remain convinced that under Alan's teachings, they certainly can.

"By the way, how can brother Alan be so good at using both of our weapons?" Ask Alex.

"Ah, that..." Alan scratched his back head for a while and then said, "I don't know."

And the answer they didn't expect made them very surprised.

""Don't know!?""

"Yes, I don't know how at all, but I'm currently learning various weapons like carambit, kusari gama, nunchaku, tonfa, kukri, whip or even firearms, he said, mysteriously I could rule them in three days. But I'm not really an expert, I just follow my instincts and learn self-taught. I'm not too keen on the use of guns either."

Alex and Norga instantly had sour expressions on their faces. People like Alan were unaware of how talented he was.
