The Smell of Love Imriyah

The Smell of Love Imriyah
Bright Path

The artificial garden next to the house Yumni became a new favorite place for Amra. He has been in Jakarta for two weeks. The inventory of money he brought was getting thin, from that time until two weeks ago, Amra never tire of trying to find a job. With hope, although he will not be able to find a permanent job, at least he can find a side job to connect life. But again, it wasn't as easy as planned.

He even felt confused about himself. What's wrong with her? All refused as he asked, for all sorts of reasons. From the start the quota was full to the way Amra dressed at this time. On average they object to what they are wearing now. Maybe they thought Amra would not be deft to wear a long robe with a long hijab anyway. But, don't they look too much at physical appearance versus ability? Amra had been used to this, for seven years she had dressed like this, and there was not a single job she did with hassles.

But Amra is not the type of world enthusiast, he remains on his initial commitment even though he had faltered a little and changed his appearance while working alone. At that time, there was a cake shop that received even the salary offered was good. But the shopkeeper made the requirement, saying it was okay for Amra to dress like that, but while working she did not want Amra to wear such shari'i clothes, she said, the store owner even gave more leeway, he still allowed Amra to wear the hijab but of course with a shorter one than he used. When Amra offered to keep the skirt, the store owner allowed it, he just had to shorten the hijab.

There was a speck of calmness in his chest, the shopkeeper asked him to start working tomorrow. Amra came home happy at that time. Gratitude he kept saying in his heart. His efforts were not in vain, he was sure that God would help those who tried hard.

As soon as she reached Yumni's house, Amra immediately entered her room and checked all the clothes she was carrying. But none of her found clothes that she could wear to work tomorrow, Amra sighed and was a little disappointed. He had donated all these clothes seven years ago, and he did not have enough money

"Otherwise now?" The complaint without feeling

"What's the matter Ra?" Amra quickly accepted the question

"A cake shop accepted my job application on condition that I did not dress like this. But the shopkeeper still lets me wear a hijab and a skirt..." Yumni who was standing in the doorway stepped in confidently and looked at her best friend. There was a hint of disbelief implied in both of his eyes

"And you're gonna do that?" He asked after sitting next to Amra. Amra nodded steadily

"Aren't you? Can I pinjem?"

"Should you accept this job?"

"How come you're like that's Yum?" Amra asked back offended, she even now felt her happiness had evaporated somewhere

"I seriously asked like this, you even refused the job of Hafidz who did not demand anything from you! And now you're taking on a job that even curbs you in terms that I'm sure make you uncomfortable! You sure?" Amra was silent and seemed indecisive at the casual statement from her best friend

"How else would Yum.... I can't keep nagging" Yumni took a deep breath, she was disappointed once again with Amra's decision

"OK! I'll take it in the room first!" Yumni moved, leaving Amra who seemed increasingly worried. There was a truth to Yumni's words, but the other side in his heart said that what he did was not wrong.

A moment later Yumni came up with a pile of clothes meant by Amra, along with a short hijab that Yumni occasionally wore to attend events that required her to dress modestly

"Do not wear it if you feel comfortable..." After putting it on the bed, Yumni left without letting Amra say a word. Amra looked at him with sadness, this attitude of Yumni hit her heart hard, then she lyrics the pile of clothes.

Meanwhile in the room, Yumni several times sighed to calm her feelings. He is very disappointed with Amra's decision at the moment. More disappointed than Amra's decision to refuse the job offered by Hafidz.

"I never thought you'd make a decision like this Ra...."

Amra still did not turn her eyes to the pile of clothes from Yumni. Until a while later, Amra tried one of the clothes stels and pecked herself in front of the mirror. Long looked at his other self, imagining he would walk out in the unusual clothes he wore with his heart. Something was missing in his chest. Amra lowered her head as she felt the discomfort that Yumni mentioned earlier. Should Yumni be so disappointed? He even felt that if he had toyed with his beliefs, his tears immediately dripped regretting what he had decided without a second thought. He even continued to strive to remain Istiqomah with his process of self-improvement, and now he will easily forget his struggle against lust. And that very night, Amra returned Yumni's clothes even before her tears dried up. Of course he got a questionable welcome from Yumni

"You're really my best friend Yum.... Thank you so much for opening my mind again...." Saying with tears, Yumni smiled and approached

"I know how you feel Ra, of course this is all very difficult for you to go through, I understand why you made this decision.... You must remember your initial intentions" Amra nodded many times as Yumni held onto both of her shoulders with a heart that returned turbulent. He did not understand what the rumbling in his chest meant, only that he always wanted to cry when this feeling came. Amra touched her heart.

......

A cup of warm tea he put in front of him. His hands were so agile to write word for word in a book that he never lived wherever he went. For a moment he stopped when his brain did not find the right word for him to dissolve. Amra turned her head to the sky, tonight it was quite bright, the wind also blew slowly carrying a little cool feeling in the heat of the weather. Compared to AC Amra prefer this wind gust

"More... Take mine..." Amra was surprised and turned to the voice, she did not know when Yumni came, only now she was beside him while propping a laptop

"Yum?"

"Gimama you know I'm writing a novel? I never told you stories?"

"Sorry yes... I have read your books in your room...! I was wondering, really Ra, you made me think you didn't?"

"MashaaAllah..."

"You should tell me that you have this good talent, who knows I can help...."

"Yes Allah... Alhamdulillah! Thank you very much Yum...."

"Oh yeah, how? Have you got another work call?" Amra shook her head while smiling wryly

"That's nothing...! Perhaps your fortune is in your writings!"

"Aamiin..."

Indeed, since he decided to withdraw from the offer at the cake shop, Amra still never found a job. And he used his free time to write, cleaning the whole house of Yumni when his best friend went to work. Whatever he will do in the house, at least he is trying not to be a bitch who just hitchhiked eating and drinking. Although Yumni actually did not allow him to do that because there are domestic workers who will help for homework. Therefore Amra did it while Yumni went to work.

Next morning.....

Amra's old-fashioned phone rang as Yumni entered her best friend's room. No Amra anywhere, Yumni who initially intended to take his charger left behind last night, switched to receiving the incoming phone. Because he thought, the ringing of the phone meant a lot to Amra for now

"Hello... Yes waalaikumsalam..." He then listened silently to someone across the street talking

"accepted? Is this really mbak? Ok, ready to go! Ok... Thank you very much mbak! Waalaikum...."

"Yesse!!!"

Yumni clenched his two tanks and jumped up to express his excitement. It's happy news, he has to tell Amra immediately

"Nature....! Ra!!!" Call him while stepping around the house. Perhaps because of happiness, Yumni unconsciously raised her voice to call her best friend

"By!!! Where the hell are you???"

"What the hell is Yum, screaming?" Amra asked in a soft voice as she approached, she was in the kitchen to help Ina make breakfast

"We accepted Ra..."

"What?"

"You got accepted for work! You certainly will not forget that you ever placed a proposal in daycare, right? You're accepted....!"

"Alhamduliah o Allah...."

"You better be ready now! At eight o'clock you have to go there for an interview... I'm anterin!" Amra nodded with a radiant face, after which she moved.

At last he came upon a bright path, and his confusion was over. This time he felt that God had answered his prayer. The meeting with the daycare owner that morning, convinced Amra that this was a good job. A job suitable for him. There are no difficult conditions, they accept Amra as it is. Instead they are so happy if they can have a polite employee like him. He will start work tomorrow, starting from seven in the morning to five in the afternoon. No matter how long he had to work, he was already very grateful to be given a job like this.
