The Spirit Hunter System

The Spirit Hunter System
Puzzle For Owl

Glancing at Kevin who was fast asleep, Adam smiled softly. He then got up from his bed before finally coming out of the room slowly without waking the boy up.

Out of the room, Adam sharpened his sense of hearing. Find the source of the sound.

Is it that besides guessing, 'he' also likes to play hide and seek?

Exploring the dark house as all the lights had been turned off, Adam continued to walk slowly while observing the surroundings. He did not miss a single moment and examined it carefully.

Going to the living room, Adam observed the corners where usually such creatures like to hide.

"Nothing," murmured Adam with a serious expression.

The young man then walked towards the kitchen. The place he considered the most dangerous.

The reason why Adam thought the place was dangerous was the films he had watched in his previous life. The young man often watched movies where knife incidents flew and stabbed people to death occurred.

Knives, forks, metal skewers, and more.

When he got to the kitchen, Adam got more serious. But when he realized the voice was not coming from there either, he became even more confused.

"Where did the sound come from?" adam muttered with an increasingly depressed expression.

Shaking lightly, the young man finally walked back to the room. But just then, a faint voice came back to his ears.

Realizing that the voice was coming from the second floor, Adam immediately walked slowly towards the second floor.

Could Thomas and his wife be hiding something? Why do I feel that their attitude is a bit suspicious?

Imagining some movies where a boy is sacrificed for wealth or something makes Adam less comfortable. He hoped that all of that was just an unclear wishful thinking from his negative emotions alone.

Arriving on the second floor, Adam heard a voice getting clearer. Although it was not loud at all, the young man could still hear it. He then walked over to the source of the sound until it was finally ...

Adam came to the bathroom door.

At that moment, Adam's expression looked bad. Even a little pale. It was because accidentally, instead of catching an evil spirit .. the young man had heard something he did not deserve to hear.

Doing that kind of thing in the middle of the night in the bathroom. Strange woman ....

Adam thought as he went down to the first floor.

Thomas' wife is not to blame. After all, modern women who hold back about two years .. most likely have to have their own way to vent their existing feelings.

If Adam knew the story, he would be confused to judge it. Women who do that may be less kind, but compared to those looking for another man to vent the taste.

"That overly sensitive sound turned out to be not very good" murmured Adam who had returned to the first floor.

Realizing that the voice he heard was not the voice of an evil spirit, Adam felt somewhat depressed. In the end, the young man decided to return to his room. But after he returned to the room ...

Adam's expression changed completely.

"This ..."

Looking at the slightly open window and a red inscription on the wall made him quite angry.

'Grey rabbits are gray rabbits ...'

'What is the function of gray rabbits in hunting competitions?'

At that moment, it was Adam feeling strange. The young man then immediately took off his right glove.

Seeing a blood red mark like the number 3, Adam was shocked.

"How can this sign just appear?"

Adam muttered with an expression of disbelief behind his mask.

In the morning, Adam, who was sitting on the edge of the bed, saw Kevin awake.

The young man had been waiting for an entire night, but the figure Kevin was talking about did not appear at all. Looking towards the strange mark on the back of his hand, he let out a long sigh.

"Because it managed to give me a curse, it seems that 'She' is not on the same level as me at all. Could it be at the Gold level?" murmured Adam.

The young man then shook his head lightly. If the enemy was at the Gold (Spiritualist Grand Master) level, he guessed that the other party would kill him directly rather than play with him.

"Silver (High), huh? Or Gold ... but a crazy psycho who likes to play with his prey?" Adam mumbled slowly.

"Uncle Owl?" ask Kevin.

"En?" Realizing from his daydream, Adam stared at Kevin. "What's up, Kevin?"

"Write on the wall it—"

"You don't have to think about it."

"Why?"

"..."

Hearing that, Kevin was surprised. The boy then looked nervous.

"Are you okay, Uncle?"

"I'm fine."

Adam shook his head. The young man looked indifferent. Looking at Kevin and at the riddle on the wall, he let out a long sigh.

Geck! Geck! Geck!

Hearing the knock on the rushed door, Adam said in an indifferent tone.

"Lake in."

After Adam's words rang out, the door of the room opened and a pale Thomas figure entered the room.

"Are you guys okay?"

"We're fine" said Adam. "What's wrong?"

"Tell me what's really going on, Kevin!" thomas cried to his son.

Kevin was shocked when he heard his father yell at him. All this time, he had never felt being yelled at by his father. The boy could not help but get nervous.

"T-Nothing, Dad."

"Don't lie! I heard the sad news. Today your school is closed because one of your friends and his mother died!"

"..."

Kevin's dumbfounded. He then held his head with both hands. The boy looked scared and confused.

"Look back, Mr. Thomas."

Hearing Adam's words and turning and looking at the wall, Thomas then looked surprised.

"Try asking the victim. Is there the same writing on the walls of their houses" said Adam calmly. "Also ... Kevin, just tell your dad. You can't keep this kind of thing a secret."

"Good." The nervous Kevin replied in a lethargic voice.

"..."

After that, Kevin told his father everything. Upon hearing the whole story, Thomas' facial expression changed. In the end, he looked very angry.

"KEVIN!!!" thomas raised his right hand.

Adam stood in front of Thomas and stopped the man.

"Enough Mr. Thomas. You don't have to worry."

"Have you found a solution, Mr Owl?"

"No."

"Then why tell me to calm down?"

"There's no point in getting angry. In addition, according to my guess ... You and your wife should be safe."

"How can you?" thomas asked with a surprised expression.

"Friends Kevin. The dead were his friends and mother, not the whole family. Likely, other than one child .. there will only be an additional one victim."

"Even if it's true, one of us—"

"No." Adam shook his head lightly. "Last night I got a sign. That means, if I fail to solve this problem .. me and Kevin will be the victims."

"How come???" thomas asked with a surprised expression.

"Most likely because compared to the two of you, as long as Kevin gets the curse mark.

You busy working? Is your wife busy too? No one's been taking care of Kevin closely for the past few years, right?

Are you afraid Kevin might suddenly pick up a knife and stab you?"

"..."

Hearing Adam's words, Thomas felt quite embarrassed.

Meanwhile, Adam took a deep breath. Looking towards the mark on the back of his hand, he muttered softly.

"I have to solve this problem."
