The Spirit Hunter System
I Hate you

“A-Are you okay, Senior?”

Looking towards the grim Jennifer, Renald looked doubtful and somewhat fearful.

“Silence, Renald.”

“...”

Following Jennifer behind him, the young man slightly lowered his head. He breathed in his heart. Feeling helpless because of the woman's attitude.

Renald and his two associates are the most junior at the local police station. The three of them had just joined about a month and a half ago.

At the time, the three felt that Jennifer was a kind and friendly senior. Always guide them in doing a lot of work. By the time Renald was assigned to Jennifer's group, the other two were very envious. But that all changed about a month ago.

Jennifer was quiet and quite moody. He was also often angry about the little things. In fact, the woman rather often makes small mistakes in her work.

At that moment, Renald recalled the figure of the handsome man who had easily taken down the mad woman. Legit black hair, sapphire-like blue eyes, and white skin. Not just handsome and charming.Renald knew the man was very strong.

The mad woman was able to escape the three policemen, but easily dropped her. Given that figure, Renald knew that he had something to do with Jennifer. Moreover, when the two met and turned their eyes to each other as if they did not want to look at each other. Obviously, the two knew each other.

I don't know what happened, but I hope their relationship improves.

Renald thought when he saw Jennifer's cold expression.

...***...

Meanwhile, Adam drives his car to the Mental Hospital.

The young man felt that the madness that was happening was not simple. Seeing that the pendant was an object similar to what he found in the mouth of the Mutated Catfish, his expression became even more solemn.

“I hope all of it is not as I thought.”

After driving for quite a while, Adam finally arrived. Looking towards the clean white building there, the young man could only let out a short sigh. Since the pendant included a special item, he put it into items bag. Adam did it because he wanted to avoid tracking.

Although very thin, it does not mean that the object will be tracked by the police as evidence. Adam himself had a need to keep it, so he didn't want it taken away by the police.

Getting out of the car and about to get into the building, Adam was surprised by the arrival of two police cars. The young man saw Jennifer and some of her colleagues pull the crazy woman into the Mental Hospital to be taken care of immediately.

Just as he was about to enter, Adam heard a voice from behind.

“T-Wait a minute, Sir.”

“En?”

Looking back, Adam saw a young, nervous-looking police figure.

“P-Include, my name is Renald.” Renald saluted.

“Adam Bladefield,” reply Adam with a gentle smile.

“Can we talk for a minute, Sir?”

“What about previous events?”ask Adam.

“B-Not.”

Seeing Renald who was becoming more nervous made Adam shake his head lightly. He then said with a smile on his face.

“Then, should we talk here or somewhere else?”

“S-I know a convenient bar not far from here, Sir.”

“Bar?” Adam tilted his head. “Good. You can show me the way, Officer Renald.”

About half an hour later, in a bar called Golden Grass.

Choosing a seat in the corner, Adam and Renald sat facing each other.

“Because it is still daytime and have to drive, how about two cups of mocktail and some light snacks.”

“B-Good,” replied Renald nervously.

After ordering, Adam looked towards Renald with a curious expression.

“So, what do you want to talk about, Officer Renald?”

Resisting his nervousness, Renald said, “I-It's about Senior Jennifer.”

“Jennifer ..” murmured Adam.

Looking towards the young man before him, Adam's expression slightly changed. After all, it had been more than a month that they were not related. It was nobody's fault, but due to misunderstanding.

“A-Do you and Senior Jennifer quarrel, Sir?”

“...”

Hearing the young man who was about a year younger than him, Adam shook his head lightly with a smile on his face.

“I'm not too old, just call Adam like a regular guy calls.”

“B-Good, Sir ... I mean, Brother Adam.”

“Why do you think the two of us are fighting?” ask Adam. “We have absolutely no quarrel.”

“T-But ... but Senior Jennifer changed totally about a month ago. The change was too sudden, so I thought ..”

“Jennifer changed?” ask Adam.

“I guessed it, you're here!”

The entrance opened, Jennifer's figure entering the bar. He immediately rushed towards Adam and Renald.

“Senior Jennifer, i-”

THE PLAQUE!

Jennifer directly slapped Renald in the face while giving the young man a cold look.

“Go when on duty just like that. Do you think you can do anything just because your dad is on top?”

“Senior Jennifer, this has nothing to do with dad. I-”

Jennifer was about to slap Renald, but Adam immediately stood up and held her wrist.

“Stop, Jennifer.”

“Sorry, Sir. This is police business, you should not interfere.”

“Police order does not mean the right to commit such acts of violence to coworkers. Not to mention, in public.” Adam said with a cold expression.

Hearing Adam's words, Jennifer's expression changed. From pretending to be indifferent, the woman looked extremely angry.

“Adam, you ..”

“Give me the car keys,” Adam said coldly.

“What are you-”

“Give me!” said Adam.

Gnashing her teeth, Jennifer finally pulled out the car keys and gave them to Adam.

Adam placed the key on the table and looked at Renald.

“You can drive right, Renald?”

“B-Can, Brother Adam.”

Adam nodded. Removing Jennifer's hand, she took out a wallet and took out a few pieces of banknotes and put them on the table.

“This is to pay for the order earlier. After finishing the order, please bring the car back.”

“I-It ..” Renald looks doubtful.

“Please.” Adam insists.

Looking at Adam's serious expression then towards Jennifer's grim face, Renald finally nodded.

“I understand, Brother Adam.”

“Thank you, Renald.” Adam said with a gentle smile on his face.

“Sama-sama.”

Adam then looked at Jennifer and said quietly.

“Jennifer ... you come with me.”

“No. I'm working and-”

“Work?” Adam tilted his head. “You messed up your work. Now, better come with me. I want to talk to you.”

“I ..”

Adam held Jennifer's hand. The woman nodded. In the end, they both left.

In the car, Adam drives aimlessly with Jennifer sitting in the co-pilot position.

“Do you not want to say something?” ask Adam softly.

“That's all your fault,” Jennifer said with her head bowed.

“Sorry ..”

“I try to forget you but you always come to my mind!”

“Sorry ..”

“Always thinking of yourself in my head makes everything fall apart! My life is fucked up because of you!”

“Sorry ..”

“Now ... Even now you appear again in front of me! Then how can I forget you!”

“...”

Jennifer lifted her head, looking at Adam with tears streaming down her face.

“Adam .. I hate you.”
