The Spirit Hunter System

The Spirit Hunter System
Reason Each

After a morning shower and breakfast delivered to the guest room, Adam exits the room to meet Thomas and his family.

Out of the room, Adam headed to the living room. Once there, the young man was silent for a moment when he saw Thomas' wife.

A beautiful blonde woman with a model-like body looks so quiet. He has a calm expression. It looks so innocent and innocent.

It is unexpected ...

Adam thought without paying too much attention to the woman. He sat on the sofa quietly.

"Do you really have to go back, Mr Owl?" ask Thomas.

"Yes. At least I should prepare myself."

"Can't I ask someone else to pick up your tools at the Department of Mysteries?"

"No. Those things are not for toys, Mr. Thomas .. please understand that."

"I'm sorry, Mr. Owl."

"It's okay ..." Adam shook his head lightly.

"Uncle Owl's coming back, right?"

Hearing Kevin who looked so uncomfortable, Adam nodded with a gentle smile behind his mask

"I'll be back to solve this case. So you can go play with your friends soon, Kevin."

"Thank you, Uncle Owl!"

"It's my job."

After conversing for a while, Adam then returned to the City B branch's Mystery Department.

Some time later.

After reaching their headquarters, Adam was immediately approached by James and the others.

"Why didn't you come back yesterday? Are you going straight home, Mr Owl? We were very curious" said James.

"There are anomalies, even ones that are very difficult to solve. I stayed there last night."

"What kind of case is that? Have you finished it, Mr Owl?"

"Don't finish, I'm getting a curse mark." Adam sighed after saying that.

"..."

The others looked at each other. He looked surprised and felt strange.

"Are you serious, Mr Owl?" ask James.

"i'm serious. There was even a victim who was his son and mother who died the same night."

"You mean .." said Douglas with a puzzled expression.

"The victim was not only Kevin, but also his friends."

"A case that big?" james asked with a surprised expression.

"Why? Do you think we'll be a burden?" ask James.

"You ... No. gabe. You're not part of the game."

Adam took off his right glove. Then show the back of his hand to James and the others.

"Did you see something on the back of my hand?" ask Adam.

Hearing the young man's question, some were immediately confused as they could not see it.

Jasmine who was usually silent and calm raised her hand. The girl then wrote something on the small board that she always carried.

'Is it like the number 3 in blood red?'

Looking at the writing from Jasmine, Adam was quite surprised. The young man then nodded gently.

"I'm surprised you can see it too, Jasmine. Right, this is the sign of his curse.

I was the part of the game that 'He' made. So, I'll try to finish it my own way. Therefore, you do not need to interfere.

It's too dangerous. Not just the lives of others, but your lives are at stake."

Hearing Adam's words, the others became quite nervous. They did not expect that everything was so complicated and dangerous. After all, they were all originally ordinary people and never considered such things to be real.

"Then ... Is there anything we can help you with?" ask James.

"Please take care of other cases as long as I'm busy taking care of this. Even if I settle the case, I also want to take a short break.

I mean ... I just want to be at the base and not keep intervening to the location. This case is too heavy and tiring."

Hearing how Adam sighed, the others looked at each other. They nodded lightly. Realizing that Adam could also be tired and somewhat depressed, they still considered the young man to be human.

"Give the rest to us. As long as it's not a spirit-related case, we'll definitely handle it easily." James said with a confident expression.

Seeing that, Adam smiled bitterly. He then said in a somewhat depressed tone.

"Can't we find a reliable member for the evil spirit problem other than me?"

"I don't want to, Mr. Owl. We can't." James smiled bitterly. "Routing people like you is not easy at all. If it wasn't for a little coercion, you would all be quite reluctant to enter this organization."

"..."

Seeing the others just silent, James continued.

"If it's easy, maybe they won't choose me as captain."

Hearing James' confession, the others involuntarily nodded. According to them, compared to James, Adam is more suitable as chairman. But they also knew that the young man was forced to join the Department of Mysteries.

Not only Adam, they were like that. Especially Carole and Douglas. Both require a lot of money. Instead, they now have no steady job.

In the end, they were able to enter the Mystery Department due to their unique abilities. Everyone has their own reasons, so they don't blame each other.

Yes ... Everyone has their own reasons. No need to misinterpret each other.

Adam thought as he felt a somewhat depressed atmosphere amongst all of them.
