The Strange Little Girl
One month after Elbert's departure.
"Are you okay, Melly?"
Melly who was sitting while staring out the window and looking at the night sky, was a little surprised when she heard the monotonous voice of a woman from behind her. Looking over, the girl looked at the figure of her mother who was looking at her with a flat expression.
"I—"
"Mom knows you must miss Elbert. But that doesn't mean you have to be like that.
Even if you are not tasteful, you should still eat. If you're thin, I can't explain to Elbert. Isn't that gonna be bad?"
Hearing the name Elbert mentioned, Melly who was originally rather moody looked brighter. The girl looked at her cold-looking mother. Despite often having bad prejudices, she felt that her mother was not so bad.
Melly just felt that she did not know her own mother.
"What's your cooking today?" asked Melly with a doubtful expression.
"Stev." (Robusan containing meat, vegetables, sausages, and so on.)
"Meats again?"
Hearing her mother's words, Melly who was usually a little afraid complained. The girl tried to act more spoiled, wanting to get closer to her mother.
"Didn't you make burgers, meat balls, and other meat dishes?"
Hearing Melly's complaint, the woman with the flat expression did not change her face. He stretched out his hand and stroked Melly's head. The woman then said.
"Isn't it because you're getting thinner and thinner every day?"
"really? Then thank you very much, Mother."
Melly was happy. It was rare for her mother to be so considerate and treat herself so gently.
"Then we go to dinner?"
"Good, Mother."
At the dinner table, four people ate together.
They are father, mother, and Melly. Then there is another little girl who looks like Melly and her mother. Looks so pretty.
"Why don't you eat meat, Mia? Why are you so stubborn?
You don't appreciate mom's effort! Besides, you'll be skinny if you don't eat meat."
Seeing her sister pushing a bowl of stew away and instead gnawing at the boiled carrot like a little rabbit, Melly was a bit angry.
"Mia, you—"
"Don't talk when you eat, Melly. Remember ethics. About Mia .. forget it. Maybe he's in a time of rebellion."

Melly who was reprimanded by her father could only keep quiet. The girl felt that her father was still so angry because of his relationship with Elbert. He did not dare to refute, and could only continue eating in silence.

Hearing the knock on the door, the sleeping Melly opened her eyes. With a bad expression on her face, the girl walked over to open the door.
"Who?"
The innocent girl opened the door while rubbing her eyes.
Looking at the figure of Mia standing before the door quietly, Melly felt surprised. He also felt a bit strange. Since childhood, the girl really did not talk much, barely ever spoke to herself.
So looking at the little girl, Melly became somewhat doubtful.
"Are you afraid to go to the bathroom, Mia? Is—"
Not finished talking, Mia pulled Melly's hand and put a small folded paper and handed it to her brother.
Not saying anything, the girl then left. Walked to his own room and closed the door.
"Freaky girl," muttered Melly with a somewhat depressed expression.
Returning to the room and closing the door, Melly walked to the bed and lay down.
Before going back to sleep, Melly who felt somewhat curious opened the paper given by Mia to herself. At that very instant, he felt somewhat surprised and strange.
'Black closet master bedroom.'
The near-abstract writing made Melly feel strange. Feeling that it didn't really matter, he threw away the paper and closed his eyes. The girl thought that her strange sister only wanted to show off because she could write at a very young age.
Melly could not sleep. Although he felt that what his sister was doing was strange, he was still curious. So ...
