Currently there was nothing Nania did but just silently watch Daryl who ate his ordered yellow rice voraciously and cheerfully.

The smile has never gone from his face since they set foot in the parking lot of Jakarta's largest market. And the man excitedly pulls Nania inside to hunt for the hawker and wet cake she remembers.

Sure enough, two medium-sized crackers they managed to get after walking down the crowded alleys at dawn. Later, they became the first buyers for yellow rice traders in the market parking lot.

"Are you really a laper?" Mania rubbed her husband's shoulder.

Daryl did not answer because he was busy with food in his mouth.

"Yes, eat a lot." He said again, and he did the same.

***

"Udah?" Nania spoke again after they finished their meal.

"It."

"What else do you want now?"

"It looks like just go home. I have to get ready to work, right?" Daryl laughed as he looked at his watch which had already shown at 6:30 a.m.

Not only did he eat at the street vendor, but he also enjoyed a crowded atmosphere other than usual. And this feels pretty fun. At least, that's what Daryl feels.

"Yes, let's go home. It'll be bad luck." Nania got up to pay for the food they bought."

Then the two men immediately left after making sure their stomachs were full and what they wanted was all obtained.

***

"Are you sure you can work?" Nania made sure of her husband's condition before going down.

After returning home first, they returned to their usual daily routine. Daryl goes to work, and Nania goes to college.

"Yes. When do I want to stay home?" Daryl answered.

"Yes, you're still dizzy and nauseous." The woman laughed.

"Happy are you? Pregnant but not experiencing symptoms. I'm the one who feels." Daryl shuffled the hair on his head.

"I told you that this is gotong royong. They know I need help with that." Nania rubbed her stomach that three fetuses were growing in.

"Yeah, right."

"The word mom-mom don't just want to do good, Dadd. But it's not good to be willing either. That's a good husband." Nania is half-bissile.

"Haha .. yeah okay."

Nania smiled. "I'm down huh? But you don't have to. Be careful what it does."

Daryl nodded his head.

"Excluded?" Then he took out his wallet.

"Oh iy, forgot. What if you don't bring food?" Nania laughed as she received two red banknotes from her husband's hand.

"I told you to bring the market cake, didn't I?" said the man.

"No need ah, complicated." Nania pushed the door to get out.

"No hassle. And it's also delicious, you know?"

"Yes, he knows. That's why you're willing to go to the market."

Daryl laughed.

"By Dadd?" And the woman almost came down when Daryl pulled her hand.

"What?"

"Kiss and hugg?" Daryl leaned his body.

"Oh yes, forgot. Haha." Nania laughed again. Then she went back inside and did what her husband asked.

Hugged her for a while then kissed her as usual.

"Now go. If not, then I'll take you back home." Daryl let go of her hug, then patted Nania's butt so she got out of her car.

Then he left after making sure that his wife entered the campus area with Mahira waiting at the gate.

"Aren't you usually late?" Daryl grabs the document that Ragan shot on his desk.

"Yes, Sir. Sorry." Regan makes sure that everything her boss needs is available at the table, so she won't bother him for that reason.

"Is there a problem?" Daryl looked at his assistant's face that morning as usual.

"No, Sir."

"Really?" Daryl looked probing.

"Yes, Sir. It's just, maybe for a few days I ask permission not to overtime or anything else. And I have also checked if our schedule is normal in FSH. Or if there's something emergency I'll ask another colleague to work on." Regan explains.

"good. Why why?"

"I have to take care of some things at home."

"What thing? Seems like this is serious enough for you?"

"My mother is ill, sir. So maybe my work will be a little hampered, so …."

"Yes." Yeah." Regan nodded.

"Can't the others?"

"I don't have a brother, sir. So it's definitely just me and dad who have to take care of it."

"Is that?"

"Yes sir."

"Baiklaj, take care of your family first,"

Regan almost moved in front of Daryl.

"Your mother is seriously ill?" But the man then asked.

"Lumayan, sir." Regan paled his intentions.

"What pain?"

The assistant was silent for a moment, then he looked at the face of his superior.

"Cancer blood, sir. Stadium three." Then he answered.

"What?"

"Yes. It takes a lot of time to take care of it, so …."

"Have you been taken to the hospital? Medications or something else?"

"Already, Sir. Schedule a follow-up check this afternoon, so I'll ask for permission to exit for a while." Regan asked permission to leave.

"What hospital? THE NMC?"

"No, Sir. The one near the house." replied Regan.

"Why not just go to NMC? There your mother will be well handled. And isn't that really special for Nikolai Group's staff?"

Regan fell silent.

"Call Galang, and take your mother there." Tell Daryl who intends to start his work.

"Quickly. Your mother's illness needs to be dealt with" Daryl said.

"Good, sir." Regan goes out and does what her boss says.

"Stadium three is not the end of everything. Many patients have even reached stage four, but they can get past that and are able to survive and eventually recover." The doctor gave an explanation after all the examination procedures were done to Mella.

"How much?" Regan asked.

"Much."

"I asked what percentage? 90? 80? 50? What percent, Doctor?" He looked at the man in the white suit who was sitting in front of him. While the mother was left lying in the examination cage to rest her body after undergoing a series of examinations.

Doctor speechless.

"I have to know the possibility for the mother to recover in order to work on everything necessary" Regan said, looking at Mella.

"It's not as big as we expected, but anything is possible, Mr. Regan. With any hard effort can happen."

"Including curing my mother?"

"Yes. But I have to be patient."

"What patience?"

"Very patient. Because the process is slow and complicated. Most patients feel frustrated first when they want to recover. Lose the spirit of life and despair, so yes ..we must be really patient in this matter."

Now Regan is silent.

"What should be done?" Then he asked.

"At this time the most possible is chemotherapy. It can be in the form of medication to drink or injections. One of them is chlorambucil. There's also radiotherapy, and you can choose which one but that's according to the severity of the cancer in your Mother's body."

"And which of those remedies is best for my mother?" Regan asked again.

"Because it has reached stage three, then two-duanua can be done. But it has to be gradual."

Regan looked at her mother who was still in her place.

"When should it start, Doctor?" ask her again.

"Fastly, sir."

"Tomorrow?"

"could. We'll prepare from now on."

"Good."

Then the consultation session ended.
