Anandita stopped wearing her shoes when someone offered a cup of cold, mouth-watering drink. And that person is Regan.
Language teaching hours have ended, as well as exam practice lessons for new groups. And most of the volunteers have gone home in order of course, so only Regan and Anandita left.
"It looks like you're thirsty. From there talk nonstop in front of the kids." The man said.
Anandita did not accept it immediately.
"Let's take it!" said the man again whose hand position was still the same.
"No need to ah." The girl answered.
"Lho's? Why?"
"Om treating me like Mahira." Anandita continued her activities, and it again made Regan pounce on the forehead.
"Ann, what do you mean exactly? Why do you keep talking about Mahira? What's the matter exactly? You know Mahira?" Regan sat next to him.
"Ann?" He placed the cup on the other side so he could focus on talking to the girl.
"This om is really insensitive huh? I was amazed when I thought I was speaking clearly. I don't like Mahira!"
"Yes why? Do you know Mahira?" Regan repeated the question.
"No."
"Or did he ever make a mistake with you?"
"Not really."
"So why don't you like him? Just know not even. What's so ridiculous about you not liking someone like that?"
"Ann? Why …."
"Because he's the same guy I like!" The sentence just slid from her tiny mouth.
Regan's stunned.
"From yesterday's Mahira, Mahira kept being called. The code is still not understood either. It's basically insensitive!" The girl got up from the porch, and she immediately sauntered towards the black car parked in front of the fence.
Regan's brain was still spinning violently digesting her words, but Anandita's scream from outside the fence broke her daydream.
"We still want to be here what?" His voice sounded shrill so Regan hurriedly approached him.
Anandita looked cross-legged and leaned against the body of the car with her sour face. And Regan was a little reluctant to look at him.
But his words just now made him think again.
"What do you really want to say? I'm not a shaman, so don't make me guess like this!" The man stood straight in front of him.
"Ann!" And Regan looked at the face of the niece of his superior.
"I don't know or pretend I don't understand?" Anandita asked back.
"Yes, what do I not understand? You talk so convoluted that it makes me confused." The two people were both staring at each other.
"Ann, I'm this assigned to …."
"I like it the same Om." The girl immediately expressed her feelings.
Which again made Regan stunned again.
"It feels silly but I can't help it. It makes me tired, you know?"
Regan freezes.
"Ah, I want to say how to also keep Om mah will not understand. It is basically insensitive!" Anandita snatched the car keys from the man's hand then pressed the automatic button so that it sounded 'beep' and the keys on both doors opened.
Then the girl opened the door and intended to enter before Regan finally pulled her hand so she came back.
"Ann! Do you realize what you just said?" regan said while holding Anandita's wrist.
The girl is silent.
"Anandita!" This is the first time Regan has given his full name.
"Ck! I'm not sensitive, plus lebai bag anyway?" muttered Anandita while jerking her hand so that Regan's grip almost missed. But the man immediately tightened his grip.
"My answer is right!" And his face looked solemn with a voice that rose an octave.
"Omm, don't you have to scream why? My dad never looked like that from small until now."Â
Regan tightened her jaw while closing her eyes for a few seconds.
"Something is wrong with what I said?" Now Anandita tries to confront the man.
Splash also if he continues to avoid, because his feelings have already been expressed. Although a little embarrassed, but the girl decided to explain it.Â
"I like the same Om. That's why I used to mention the name of another girl. Especially when you saw Om treat him like a very familiar. It feels like kayak …."
"Anandita, you're not aware of what you're saying." Regan interrupted.
"People don't fuck anymore." The girl rolled her eyes.
"Anandita!"
"Ann, Um. Ann!! Usually call that too. It's better. I think it's a call, baby." She slightly smiled, while Regan pursed her lips tightly.
"Have it." Anandita took off Regan's hand, then she moved it on her slightly sweaty forehead.
"It's the heat just because of the sun, not because it's crazy. Hehe." he said, and he actually smiled widely.
"Ann, you are …."
"I know what Om means. Yeah, I just want to say that." Then he let go.
And with all her innocence the girl immediately got into the car. She sits sweetly after pairing her own seatbelt then waits for Regan to follow what she did.
The quiet atmosphere included a return trip almost that afternoon. And none of them had any intention of starting a conversation. Anandita is busy with her phone while Regan tries to distract her.
Although occasionally they throw glances at each other, but both are still struggling with their respective minds.
Red lights paused the pace of black cars among the capital's street gridlock. And increase travel time to be slower than usual. So that the two people also have a lot of time to silence each other.
"I don't mean anything, I'm just telling you about how I feel." But finally Anandita felt unable to stand it as well so she had the initiative to dialogue.
Regan's not huffing. He simply stuck his head on the tightly closed glass.
"Omm? By dong!" said the girl with annoyance.
"What should I say?" Regan answered in a soft voice.
"Yes what cake? Nanggepin what did I say or what?" Anandita with a resentful tone.
"I'm confused."
"Why?"
"Yes .. confused." Regan drives forward when the lights in front turn green. "You're the son of my superior brother."
"Continue?"
"Suddenly, you are expressing your feelings. Then what should I do?" He continued.
"It doesn't have to be."Â
The man glanced.
"What did he think?"
"Come on, I'm blacking out."
Anandita laughing.
"What are you laughing at?"
"Of."
"Why?"
"Not sure, sometimes it's funny. But sometimes it spills too. Especially if the insensitivity is already crumpled." The girl looked out of the car.
"But, Ann …."
"I said it was just wanting to let my heart not be as hard as doang. Do you know that I am tormented because I often feel when the person is right in front of me?" Then she looked back at Regan, and this time was longer than ever.
"I don't need anything, just want Om to know just how I feel so that Om will not want to anymore."
"What do you mean?" The man turned his car towards the mansion where Satria's residence was, and suddenly his chest was pounding so hard.
"To not blatantly do good to another girl in front of me."
"Duh?"
"Because even if Om is nobody to me, I'm jealous. I'm jealous, Om!!" The girl pressed her words clearly.
"I am a big jealous. If you're a little more inclined to Asha it feels like a sprain, especially if the guy I like."
Regan stared at the large gate that slowly opened as the security guards inside learned of the arrival of the car they were riding in. And it felt like he was about to enter another dimension, when every day he came to the place. But this time it felt different.
His chest was pounding incoherently and his heart was throbbing in pain. I don't know what he's going through right now.
"I don't like Om whizzing with other girls, but that's Om's right. We're nothing but a boss as his assistant." And Regan stopped her car in the Nikolai family's spacious courtyard, along with the appearance of Arfan Sanjaya from inside the house.
The man gasped as he felt as if he was being hunted by a special force, and he was his main target.
But Anandita put on her best smile, then she immediately went down without waiting for Regan to open the door for her.
"Father!" And he immediately rushed into his father's arms.
"Ann?"
"Today that's a lot of fun. There's his Junior High as well. I think we need a bigger place to study. Papa has no idea?" There was a chattering from his mouth that immediately distracted Arfan Sanjaya.
"Oh yeah? Really true?" And the man returned his daughter's embrace despite the sight he did not let go of Regan who got out of his car.
"Origin, the child who learns more and more and I think the house reading aunty Nna alone will not be enough. If I stay there later I go home more nights because the students have to take turns."
"Times?"
"Yes, Papa. How can they learn together but not pressured? It's pity."
"On that …."
"We talked to Opa Yuk? Opa and Oma had an idea. Om Darren same Om Dimi also exist, right? I'd like to say ah to them." The girl pulled the father into the house.
"Bah Om Regan. Thanks for picking it up?" He waved to Regan before, then continued his steps into his grandparents' residence. While Arfan Sanjaya seemed to roll his eyeballs towards him.
"Dead you Regan! Surely after this you will face the male lion with his son." Inner monologues.
