Chicken Burn And Love Inside

"It looks like the roasted chicken tastes better." Nania put down the half-living orange ice after she sipped. Daryl is on the other side with Regan.

"really?"

The woman nodded her head.

"That's Grandma's recipe." Mirna turned her head, but her hands did not remain silent. He still received orders from buyers who had just arrived even though it was already afternoon.

"Masa? How did I not know that Grandma had this delicious grilled chicken recipe?"

"Because I never made it."

"Yes too. I want to …." Nania seemed to remember how many people were at home. "Wrap twenty can?" he said after he counted.

"What?" Mirna turned back.

"Burning chicken. Mama's the same papi would have liked."

Mirna just laughed.

"Seriously, Mom."

"Don't ah, shame. When you bring food from here? What will they say?" said the mother who continues to serve her buyers.

"Seriously."

"Wouldn't. I'm sure your in-laws won't want to eat food that comes from just any place, let alone from here."

"Mom doesn't know." Nania approaching. "Mama same papi can eat food from any place of origin is delicious and safe. And I'm sure the food from here is safe. Proof their son wants to eat too." He glanced at Daryl who was also eating like him.

The man even asked for his roasted chicken twice and he seemed to enjoy it as much as he did when eating yellow rice in the market.

"It's weird that your husband can eat like you. They don't have many rules, do they? As far as Mother people from among them will not carelessly do something. Marrying you alone feels impossible."

Nania speechless.

"Mother doesn't mean ugly, it's just like a fairy tale, right?" Mirna grabbed her daughter's shoulder.

"Mom didn't know how big the house was so comfortable I was living there. Not just because it's big and they have a lot of things, but because the atmosphere feels good."

Mirna looked at Nania's face. "Definition of home, right?"

Then the princess nodded.

"They're very nice to you, aren't they?" The woman asked.

"Yes." Yeah."

"Treating you without seeing who you are, and just like everyone else? Daryl has a brother, right?" Then Mirna returned to her job. Wrapping a serving of rice with banana leaves that have been withered on the fire before so as to strengthen the distinctive aroma that adds favor to the taste of the food itself.

"Yes." Yeah." Nania answered again.

"Thank God, someone replaced me doing it. May it continue forever like that." He handed the rice along with the grilled chicken to the buyer who then left after making the payment.

Nania was just smiling.

"If you want tomorrow have Daryl's driver take his grilled chicken here. I'll make that special for you." Said Mirna who cleared up the rest of her work.

"Why not now, Mom? The roast chicken today is good too, I love it. And everyone likes it too."

"Yes, because the chicken is gone." Mirna showed a plastic box under the display case where she put spiced chicken for sale.

"Inside there are also only five pieces left, even for fried chicken. Mom doesn't stock up so much on her chicken that everything is fresh and better to eat. Unless there's an order."

"G …."

"So, will you have your driver here tomorrow?" He glanced at Regan.

"It's not a driver, ma'am."

"But he drives you everywhere?"

"Yes, but he's Daryl's assistant. She's the only one my husband trusts to get me anywhere."

"Ohh …." Mirna laughing. "Once Daryl loves you so for this kind of business he doesn't carelessly tell people."

"That's it."

"That's great. Living with a man who loves you more than you is better than only you who loves him. Because your life will be so good with her."

Nania fell silent again, while Mirna tidied up her window.

"What about Hendrik, Mom? Still in jail?" Then Nania switched to another topic, which immediately stopped Mirna's activities.

"Did Mom often go to the detention center?" ask Nania again, then the mother looks over.

"What?"

"Every Sunday there are new wounds and bruises either on their faces or on their bodies."

"Well …."

"It looks like they are not acting up to make other residents grow angry." Mirna sighed and exhaled slowly.

"Mothers think hard, about what will make them aware and change if prison alone is not able to make it better. Because I'm worried that maybe next year or how many years they're out still behave like that. Could die at the hands of others if nothing changes." He shook his head.

"Mom still wants to stay with Om Hendrik? If Bang Sandi, I don't have a problem because she's Mom's son. But what about Hendrik?"

Mirna paused for a moment and then turned to her daughter.

"The letter has just come down this month, and now I'm officially a widow, Nna" she said, causing Nania's eyes to widen.

"Mother divorced Om Hendrik?"

Mirna nodded.

"Seriously? And can?"

"Can. With the help of those from your husband you can definitely." The 45-year-old glanced at her daughter-in-law.

"Times?"

"Mother spoke to the driver .. uh Daryl's assistant when he came to deliver the monthly money and he did suggest to do so." Then Mirna explained.

"Regan?"

"Yes, her name is Regan?" He glanced at the man beside Daryl.

"Yes, Regan."

"Yes, he convinced me to do it and it seemed like the best option. Hendrik got angry, but he couldn't do anything."

"What if, for example, Hendrik was free? She's not gonna come here?"

"It doesn't know, but Regan will take care of it."

"Wahh .. They were conspiring behind me huh?" Nania looked at the two men who were engrossed in talking about many things back there, while Mirna laughed at her daughter's words.

"Malyshka, it's late. Don't you want to go home?" After a while Daryl turned to him.

"Times?" And Nania turned her attention away.

"Yes, six o'clock more." The man showed the phone screen while walking closer towards him.

"Hmm .. Can't do it? Aja overnight. Haha." With a spoiled attitude the woman hugged the waist of her husband who was nearby.

"Of course not, what house do we have?" Daryl replied firmly as usual.

"Handest, Dadd. Haha." Nania laughs.

"Well, can we go home now?" ask the man again who slipped a strand of Nania's hair behind his ear.

"could. I want to close too, right?" He looked at his mother.

"Yes in a minute." Mirna answered.

"Yes, if so I say yes? But I will not help you first." said Nania again who rose from her chair.

"Yes, gohome. Don't think about it."

"Okay, I'll be here sometime." Nania hugged her mother.

"Well, come whenever you want. And don't forget tomorrow take the roast." Mirna patted her daughter's back slowly.

"Okay, take it easy there's Regan." And Nania let go after a while.

"All right." Mirna also nodded. Then they say goodbye, and Nania walks ahead of Daryl out of the not-so-big yard.

Mirna only fell silent as her daughter-in-law stopped right near the fence then turned her head towards her. "Thank you" she said in a soft voice, but she could still hear.

The man then immediately came out after hearing Nania call out. Leaving behind Mirna who was still silent with her heart feeling warm.
