THE TEARS OF KUMARI KANDAM

THE TEARS OF KUMARI KANDAM
CHAPTRE 119

The simple yet blissful wedding atmosphere was truly the first in the history of Kumari Kandam. How not? Braheim was the first Kumari Kandam king to marry another continent, not just one continent but seven continents. Not without reason. The custom of marrying Kumari Kandam is quite complicated, where the bride-to-be is required to perform eleven rituals in eleven temples. The problem is that three temples are outside the protector, and there is no way that there is a bride who wants to change the status of a corpse candidate despite being desperate, right?

That is why the marriage of Braheim and Haala was carried out with the customs of other continents. Then it is not possible to use just one marriage custom given the kings of the seven continents that are currently in Kumari Kandam. The marriage was simple but full of fun. There was one last custom left before Braheim and Haala abandoned their status as miserable lovers. Traditional wedding of the Chamakadaar Continent. Just like the other Kings, King Arshaq was given the honor to lead the sacred moment.

"Given that the bride-to-be has been married and has a child, the child must be present here" King Arshaq said.

Spontaneously everyone turned around to look for the existence of Vinder. If anyone makes glare, then that's where Vinder is. His dazzling face plus his golden hair that was highlighted by the light of the lamp made Vinder not difficult to find. It looks like Vinder is engrossed in a Goan Feni* glass with the concubines while laughing very loosely and occasionally stealing glances in the direction that should not be. Vinder has been drinking alcohol since before the event began and amazingly has not fallen. It seemed like the concubines had to exert more effort.

Goan Feni* is an alcoholic beverage produced only in Goa, India. Goan Feni is made from coconut sap or cashew apples and the alcohol content in each bottle reaches 43-45%.

"Vinders."

"Oh come on, bird boy." Vinder is lazy.

"What ka–" King Arshaq cleared his throat, suppressing his emotions. "Come a minute. Marriage can end if you work together."

Vinder did not reply, only stepping reluctantly past the golden ambal that lay in the middle of the hall while cleaning up the crumbs of Laddu* on his indecent clothes.

Laddu* sweet cake in the form of small balls. Laddu is made from flour and sugar mixed with various ingredients such as cashews, almonds or raisins. Some types of laddu are also made from beans and sesame and then mixed with sugar syrup.

"Dress your clothes." King Arshaq appoints Vinder outfit.

"Oh come on, an–"

The words of the provocation caci and maki did not get away, because Murat who threw his shawl in time to clot Vinder's mouth.

"Huh." Vinder wrapped the green shawl haphazardly and sat in the place designated by King Arshaq.

The final ceremony continued, with everyone desperately trying to hold back the laughter. Different from the wedding customs on other continents, the marriage customs of the Chamakadaar Continent are really that simple. After following Vinder's dictated marriage vows with instructions from King Arshaq and drinking holy water from the same cup, Bheim and Haala became husband and wife. Everyone cheered happily. Finally two people who for decades waded the winding journey of love was united Lord Krpaya* at the right time.

Krpaya* is the God whom the Kumari Kandam people worship.

"Congratulations." Vinder extended both his hands to Braheim and Haala.

Spontaneous Braheim and Haala laughed and scattered to embrace Vinder.

"let go. I am indeed a child. Cih," added Vinder.

"Take care of your attitude, baby leader." Aryesh suddenly appeared. "Congratulations on your marriage, Your Majesty. Servants are truly happy. This is the happiest marriage I've ever attended."

"When only this time you attended someone's wedding. Aren't you just busy peeling yam skin every day?" Vinder passed.

"Basic of mood-damaging."

"I think he's turning the mood on" Braheim replied to Aryesh. "Such a habit really belongs to him."

"You're right, Your Majesty. He was the first wandering tribal leader to violate all ancestral customs. Honestly, I am a little worried about the fate of our tribe. He's more annoying than Daxraj Natesh."

Bheim laughed again, and Haala.

"Please understand him."

"Please do not torment the servant with such a request." Aryesh looked at Haala with pleading eyes.

Haala just laughed in response to Aryesh. So did Aryesh himself and of course Braheim.

"Greetings." Birousk and Zerdad congratulated Braheim and Haala. "May your marriage always be filled with happiness."

Bheim nodded as he patted the shoulders of Birousk and Zerdad. "Have fun."

"Thank you, Your Majesty." Zerdad bowed to Braheim.

"I mean. I watch you guys though not often. It seems you guys didn't touch the dish in the slightest. Just tell me if there's a certain dish you want."

"The tribe of travelers consumes nothing but yams, vegetables and fruit, Your Majesty."

"Ah, I just found out." Bheim immediately gave the servant a code. "Prepare a separate table for the nomads. Then prepare also sweet potatoes, vegetables and fruits."

"As per your orders, Your Majesty." Four servants bowed before passing into the kitchen.

"Thank you, Your Majesty. But can we wrap it up?"

Bheim did not answer, only slowly turned to Haala, asking for an explanation from Aryesh.

"Ah, so it seems. The baby completely misled my knowledge of the wandering tribe." Bheim shook his head to see Vinder, who is now back in a glass of Goan Feni with concubines from seven continents.

...•▪•▪•▪•▪•...

The wedding that has been held for two days in a row is over. Even so, the party hall still looked crowded. Even the groom, Braheim, is still exchanging jokes with his colleagues while eating various dishes. While at the other table, Jihan is raping her lover, Faakhir, who has been working for two days as an extra servant at the wedding of Braheim and Haala.

"Please, Princess." Faakhir put a plate of Tandoori* on Jihan's desk.

Tandoori* is a chicken dish originating from the Punjab region. Tandoori has existed since the time of the Mughal sultanate in South Asia and even spread to Central and Southeast Asia. Tandoori is made from chicken meat soaked in a thick, sour milk batter with Indian masala salt, condiments, and pepper.

Jihan held back her laughter. "Tell me how much you get."

"Good Enjoy, Pu–."

"Bring Panipuri*, too" Jihan said.

Panipuri* cake that is famous for its sweet sour taste. Panipuri shape is similar to a yam ball and is crispy textured.

Faakhir took a deep breath, turned to Jihan, and took off his coffee. "Let's go home."

"You should have said that twenty minutes ago."

Faakhir just shook his head, and returned Jihan's hand. But in the end Jihan had to go home alone because the lover who turned out to still have to wear his uniform as long as the guests have not returned to the southeast palace*. What can I do. Jihan went through the long journey with only the faint howls of a wolf, a coachman, and five boring bodyguards.

The southeastern palace* is often called the queen's palace because the whole daily duties of the queen take place here. In addition, the southeastern palace is also the residence of people with high status such as the king's adviser, minister, war commander, chief investigator, as well as guests from outside Kumari Kandam.

...Put both your hands there. Wake them. They've been waiting for you. Only you can wake them....

Jihan hurriedly opened the window of the horse carriage. "Did you hear it?"

"Sorry, Princess?"

"That voice? You really didn't hear it?" Jihan looked at a guard.

"No sound whatsoever, Princess."

...Put both your hands there. Wake them. They've been waiting for you. Only you can wake them....

"That's. That sounds again. Isn't that so loud? Are your ears just a decoration?"

"Sorry, Princess. But really I heard nothing but the howling of the wolf from the south" the guard replied.

Jihan did not respond to anything due to her shock which immediately invited a bad feeling. Jihan simply closed the window and sat back down leaning on the back of the chair. Something is wrong. Not even Jihan's hearing the bodyguard's hearing but something else I don't know. If such a loud sound was not heard by anyone else, it meant that the sound was coming from inside Jihan's own head.

"We've arrived, Princess." Guards opened the horse-drawn carriage door for Jihan.

"Yes, come back."

CLAMPS

Jihan hurriedly locked the door of her house. Close all the window curtains. Then after that Jihan sat down, calmed down, adjusted her breath while convincing if the voice she heard on the way was just a hallucination. Yet.

...Put both your hands there. Wake them. They've been waiting for you. Only you can wake them....

"No! I didn't hear anything! Just go! Don't bother me!" Jehan shouted in all directions.

...Put both your hands there. Wake them. They've been waiting for you. Only you can wake them....

"I won't do it! Just stop! Please stop! I don't want to! I won't do it for you! Go!" exclaim Jihan.

No matter how hard Jihan refused to scream, the voice even more excited filled her head. And now, even Jihan had been completely affected. The look of the tough eyes in the beautiful net was gone, replaced by emptiness.

"Put both your palms there. Wake them. They've been waiting for you. Only you can wake them up" Jihan murmured.

Jihan walked to the back of the village, to a cemetery. Jihan muttered that voice again, while sticking her hands together at the mouth of the funeral gate. The bright red lip started chanting something, and shortly after, the ground of the cemetery shook to awaken its sleeping inhabitants. Hundreds of bodies far from creepy were rising, stepping over the fainted Jihan.

Several other people who were affected by the sound were also carrying out their duties. They spread out to the cemetery that was inside the protector and cast the spell of the plant. While Makshi, the kind girl from Lagaam Continent, looked to be looking at the bottom of Dhoosar*. Makshi begins casting spells, and the first figure to rise to the surface is the first Kumari Kandam War Commander, Yusef Bahadir.

Dhoosar* is a river that has been used for hundreds of years as a special burial place for people who contribute to the Kumari Kingdom of Kandam.

"Good work, my dolls." Sanjeev grinned looking into the protector Kumari Kandam. "Then, is it your turn?" Sanjeev turned to look at the last earth that Sannidhi Hessa had climbed.
