THE TEARS OF KUMARI KANDAM

THE TEARS OF KUMARI KANDAM
CHAPTRE 92

For the sake of ease of interrogation, Jihan follows everyone who came with her from Sitaara, being held in the Kumari Kingdom of Kandam to an unspecified time. Since opening his mouth about Sanjeev Rajak's plans, Jihan has been interrogated almost every day. Be it by the three Chief Investigators or directly by Braheim and the elder brother. By whoever it was, obviously no one was willing to do a one-on-one interrogation with Jihan, let alone in a room other than the meeting room. Because really, Jihan is a threat, especially a threat to sensual.

"What's? Any more?"

"Yes, Princess."

Jihan throws a glass containing Goan Feni*. "If I knew it would be like this, I should have made him wait for my reply forever. Hush."

Goan Feni* is an alcoholic beverage produced only in Goa, India. Goan Feni is made from coconut sap or cashew apples and the alcohol content in each bottle reaches 43-45%.

Jihan was forced to stop her waiting time that had not even begun, and rushed to follow Kumari Kandam's servant to the meeting room. I don't know who's going to interrogate him today, which Jihan obviously plans to keep quiet. But on the way, Jihan's steps slowed down to find a foreign sight there, in Milaan*. There's a baby carriage. But it really is just a baby stroller and maybe the baby itself. Jihan probes around, but still finds no madman who leaves behind a creature that only knows the milk bottle alone.

Milaan* is a garden overgrown with hundreds of green wild roses.

"Daughter, we must hurry."

"Am I hallucinating? Or vice-versa? Really don't you see that?" Jihan pointed at the baby carriage.

"Hamba saw it, Princess."

"Then?"

"Sorry, Pu-"

"Then how did you get through that? Are you a demon? I'll excuse him if you will, ", Jihan interrupted.

"Please forgive the"

"Tell anyone of the interrogators today that I'll be late." Jihan pointed to her servant. "You, come with me."

Jihan stepped leisurely, though her heart wanted to grab the baby carriage immediately. Jihan hopes whoever is in charge of the pram will soon reveal her nostrils. But there was still no one who appeared, even now Jihan was standing behind the baby carriage. Looking closely, it turned out that the baby carriage was very luxurious. Countless were how many pieces of pure gold were stuck to the body of the baby carriage. Suddenly, a name came to Jihan's mind, Vinder. Yep. It was certain that the baby carriage belonged to Vinder, the adopted son of Braheim.

DEG DEG DEG

The battle-sown moorings were left excited, the current picture of Jihan's heart beating was exactly that. The dazzled sparkle in Jihan's eyes really couldn't be hidden anymore. The tiny creature wrapped in a Ragamuffin fur blanket was really not playful look. Jihan's spontaneous hand moved by itself, intending to confirm the unreal figure. Those pitch-gold eyes followed Jihan's hand, until before a dagger darted through them. Jihan screamed out the pain she had never felt in her life.

"Far away from there, you devil!"

...•▪•▪•▪•▪•...

Bheim and Haala who were both busy that day had to end their respective activities. The news that Jihan was severely injured and unconscious spread quickly. There have been many rumors since the news spread. Starting from Jihan who wants to eat the sacred soul of Vinder, Sayee who became an accomplice of Haala to injure Jihan, and Vinder who is not only a threat but also a carrier of pesky. Whichever one it is, Sayee is definitely the prime suspect.

"Vinders."

Bheim turned to Haala who had just arrived with a gasp of breath. "He's fine."

"Thank God. Thank you, God." Haala breathed a sigh of relief. "What's going on, Your Majesty?"

"It's still not certain."

"Then how is Princess Jihan's condition?"

"It's still unconscious. He's lost a lot of blood. Sayee's dagger really nearly severed her wrist."

"Yes God," Haala replied as she sighed again.

"The Chief Investigator Kumari Kandam is interrogating Sayee. So until the interrogation results come out, don't blame him."

"Sayee will not hurt if not faced with a threatening situation. But sometimes what he believes is too much, Your Majesty."

"He's a tough job, Commander. Here Vinder is considered a threat, and as a threat, anyone will want to get rid of it."

Haala pressed her temple, hoping to suppress a bit of her bad thoughts. "The servant will remember that, Your Majesty."

"Go back when your mind has calmed down."

But instead of calming her mind, Haala crammed the heavier burden instead. Yep. In the end Haala refused to wait for the results of the interrogation and went to see Sayee. Seen Chief Investigator Kumari Kandam just left the dungeon, Haala also increased the speed of his steps. Sayee immediately approached Haala and gathered from behind bars. There's no word but sorry that Sayee keeps muttering. Slowly Haala came to rest, calmed Sayee down, and gently asked for the cause of her actions.

" ... Your son really likes it when his hair is in the comb. Servant forgot to take her and left quickly to take it ...."

Haala looked seriously listening.

"When I returned, he was already there. I'm sure he's about to hurt your son, Madam. Wouldn't that be possible considering what he's done in the past?"

"So again it's just your overconfidence?" Haala turned around to throw a question.

"No, Mistress. Slave swore to see with the eyes of his own servant's head he was about to touch your son."

"Then what's wrong with that, Sayee?"

"Of course it's wrong, ma'am. Slave can't let your son be touched by a dirty man like him."

"What?"

"You wouldn't let it go either, would you? Ma-"

"Sayee, enough," interrupted Haala.

"Please listen to me, ma'am. Servants will never let your son be touched by dirty people huh-"

"Then you think I'm holy?" Haala shakes. "If you knew I was the dirtiest thing in the world, Sayee."

"What did you say? That's not true, Madam."

"You only love a man in your life, but you betrayed him and married another man. While the man you love? He remained faithful to guard his heart. Then when you return, he loves the fruit of your betrayal like his own son. Isn't that the dirtiest woman?"

"Mistress," said Sayee.

"And you know who that woman is, Sayee? Is correct. It's the woman standing in front of you right now. That's me, Sayee. That's me."

Sayee has no power to speak. The new fact he knew was, indeed, too heart-wrenching.

"I love her, Sayee. I love him with all the flavors I have. And do you know that too? How much did I lose because I kept lying to my own feelings? Really, Sayee, dying is still better than being around the person you chose but not chosen by fate. Really."

"Madam," said Sayee again, looking at Haala who passed by hiding her tears.

...•▪•▪•▪•▪•...

Haala walked half-running towards anywhere, as long as there was only herself in the place. The tears should not be touched by anyone, not even by Lord Krpaya*. War Commander Kumari Kandam has no tears. Despite having to lose the battle and rest at the enemy's feet, tears and compassion are failures.

Krpaya* is the God whom the Kumari Kandam people worship.

But unfortunately, today Haala has failed. Failing to keep his ancestral vows, failing to become a War Commander, failing to become a shield, and failing to become the sword of King Kumari Kandam. Haala felt her stuffiness growing tight. All emotions seemed to spill simultaneously, precede each other to free themselves. Haala also resigned, letting her great tears dance as she pleased.

But in the midst of his sobs, the feeling of someone's presence made Haala immediately aware. That person was at a very close distance, precisely behind Haala. Without hesitation Haala swung her sword. The sacred sword moved following the owner's emotions, and for whatever sake, avoiding death tucked inside the sword was only an impossibility.

"Your Majesty?" Haala hurriedly bowed. "Please am-"

"Thank your head" cut Braheim.

Haala just followed Braheim's orders.

"I'll ask this one last time. But if you still insist, then you'll never find me the same person."

Slowly, Haala lifted her head, returning Braheim's gaze.

"Will you wear the crown of Queen Kumari Kandam and promise not to let go forever, Haala Anandmayee?"
