The vast expanse of rice fields looks shady and soothing. Accompanied by the sound of small birds perched on one of the rods near the rice fields.
Usually people will go on vacation to Instragrammable places. But the purpose of Dira in the village which in fact even brought together the figure of Sandi. A man who looks like his husband. From the beginning he arrived, his heart was already adrift in the beauty of the village.
Dira was fixated on the hand that pulled him walking into the middle of the rice field. A small hut called them to stop by. The net switches on a blackened cloud plume. He was sure it would soon rain.
"In, we'll just go home. Opa's definitely waiting."
"In the meantime, I'll take you out before you go back to Jakarta."
"But, in ..."
Sandi looked towards Dira. Their distance is very close to make Dira misbehave. Sandi begged to take her way. Sandi called one of the workers who were engrossed in the middle of the rice field. He introduced Dira to the father he called Mr. Galih.
"That's who?" ask Mr. Galih.
"That's..."
"I'm Dira, sir. His friend timed in Jakarta." said Dira while greeting Mr. Galih.
"Owh, pretty. You guys look alike?" Both Sandi and Dira exchanged glances.
"If it looks like a match, right, sir?" sahut Password.
"In, you must remember..."
"Yes,pak. I was just kidding." Sandi chuckles when Pak Galih is about to nag him.
"What is Pak Galih doing?" tanya Dira switched the conversation.
"Oh I'm harvesting, neng. Almost a block of yellowed rice fields. That's a sign that it's ready for harvest." explained Galih.
"The fertilizer must be good."
"That's thanks to Sandi, Neng" said Mr. Galih.
Dira turned her gaze to the man beside her. Sandi looks smiling proudly when Pak Galih mentioned his name.
"What's the matter?"
"He recommended a good pesticide for rice. He also directed me to make irrigation around my rice fields." said Mr. Galih.
Dira remembers when Juna had told about his program during KKN first, where he had planned to help farmers grow rice in one of the areas where KKN took place.
they teach farmers there to have an interesting way to grow rice using the wholesale system, where they plant rice on one land together, once one land has been completed then it will move on to the next birth using the same system.
The purpose of using a wholesale system is so that farmers can complete their land quickly, neatly and keep it from pests together so that when the harvest will be done together. Even so, there are also farmers who work their land personally but sometimes get less than the maximum and different from others.
Dira also remembered how Juna had tried to apply it in Lembang. But unfortunately due to being considered young and smelly, Juna's plan is about by Johan, the papa.
"And I'm sure even if you're amnesiac. There must still be a remnant of memory embedded in you." Dira's inner.
Dira's footsteps stared at the large pool not far from where they were standing. Little fish swam around the rice fields.
They finally walked around the fields. The cool air makes them stand to enjoy the fresh breeze. Sandi spread her arms, while Dira was busy looking at the fish running around the rice fields.
"There are fish in the rice field." exclaimed Dira like getting a new toy.
"Newly know, yes, it's called Mina padi is a form of joint farming business that utilizes puddles of rice fields that are being planted with rice as a pond for cultivation that maximizes the yield of rice fields. Mina paddy thus increases the efficiency of land because one land becomes a means for the cultivation of two agricultural commodities at once."
"ooo, that's it. Does this use pesticides, too?"
"No, precisely this process is done to avoid the use of pesticides. It's kind of hydroponic."
"You're also a pinter" said Dira while flicking the clear pool water towards Sandi. They reciprocated the water of the pool.
Sandi chased after Dira who ran away leaving herself in the middle of the rice field. Again Dira walked closed his eyes. Breathe fresh air in the countryside.
"Dira, rain." call Sandi.
Dira did not care about Sandi's call.He kept walking through the rice fields area. It rained little by little. Dira continues on his way back to Naura's house.
Sandi chased Dira in the rain. His legs stopped when a devaju greeted him again.
"Dira!" his inner.
"I love you. Please don't torture me with your attitude like. I'm not strong Dira. I won't be strong.
All this time I stood alone for the love that was built for Delia. I often question. Does Delia feel the same way? I always try to contact Delia. Just hearing the news. Although in the end Delia disappeared without news."
"I don't care how Rian reacts to us. As long as we fight together, Ra. We pursue the blessing of mama and papa, we pursue the blessing of aunt Goddess. Even in the scribble of the family list I willingly! who is that for, Ra? make us! for me and you."
Sandi felt her head feel heavy. Debris of memories that had disappeared back terrorized him. His hand held tightly to his head. Body staggered.
"May ... "
BRUUUUUKKKU!
Sandi's body fell to the ground. Some of the farmers who saw him carried Sandi to the house of Mr. Rohim.
Dira has arrived at Naura's house. For a moment he looked back to find Sandi who did not follow him.
"Maybe Sandi is still busy chatting with Mr. Galih. But it wasn't raining. Why didn't he ask me to take shelter. Please, Dira. That password has Naura. Her husband Naura."
"I and Naura are not married!"
"Are they not married? please, Dira he could have lied. It's that man, cover up his rot in order to get his wish." Dira's inner.
"Do I have to say goodbye to Miss Halimah and Mr Rohim? they are also my husband's family. Pakde and budenya mas Juna. But, if I go there, I'll see Sandi again.
God, why do I feel this way? remember Dira Sandi was Naura's husband. Do not let the Wawan incident repeat itself. I don't want to."
"So we're leaving now?" ask opa Han while at Naura's place.
Dira nodded small.
"Are you sure you want to leave now soaking wet like this?"
"Opa, I'll just change my clothes. And my decision was unanimous. We're going home now." Dira enters Jimmy's room to clean up.
"Rain, sir. How about leaving just delay until it subsides" said Jaka.
"It's gone, really. We're just leaving, opa. Later on." Dira is done and get ready.
As a grandfather, Burhan wanted to see his grandchildren happy. That was his hope in old age. Since meeting Sandi. Burhan felt something different, either feeling or what, he felt there was something familiar in Sandi.
"Dira," opa Han sat beside her grandson.
"Yes, opa."
"You haven't explained to opa, what's really going on?"
"Nothing, opa." said Dira.
"Then why were you taken to the village hall?"
"There's a misunderstanding, Opa. Everything's clear and I'm still going home."
Dira finally got into Han's opa car. After he says goodbye to Jimmy and Naura too with the clouds. His footsteps were as if they were stuck, as if there was something he had left here. But Dira still put his prestige forward, he still asked Jaka to turn on his car engine.
"Mr Naura, I'm grateful for the ride over the past few days here. I am happy with the atmosphere in this village. An atmosphere I didn't get in town.
My mother tipped Sandi, I apologize if my presence interferes with your relationship.
But remember my word yesterday, mbak from now on must be observant to distinguish between password and cloud. A wife's feelings are never wrong. If mbak Naura really loves Sandi. Should my heart know who it leads to? not the face that leads, but the heart.
I went to mbak. Assalamu'alaikum."
"Son, opa reckon we postpone the first departure. Opa felt like your body was going home but your mind was left out of nowhere. Since you saw Rohim's son. Your attitude has changed, what's the matter?"
"There's nothing, Opa." Dira still covers her feelings.
