The Wanderer's

The Wanderer's
Early before the tragedy

The same ceiling, every time I open my eyes the ceiling

this is the first thing I saw.

I sat on the bed staring out the window, the sky was clear and

the cloudy gusts of wind that blew the grass around carried the scent of the flowers

scattered, I let out a deep sigh thinking that peace is once here.

Tok.

There was a knock from the door of my room, I turned my head

towards the wall clock that is installed in the upper corner of the room, it looks like time has been

showing at 8am as soon as cold sweat began to fall from my temple at

add with the sound of a slow knock but feels very gripping, what is this ?

“Seevaa... do you realize what time it is?”There was a voice coming from behind the door, a subtle sound

to make my hair stand up feels like a threat.

“Si-Sial, don't-don't.” before I can act any blow

violently hitting the door from the outside made it wide open.

BRAAK!!

“BOCAH RANCID! WANT TO SEE WHEN YOU SLEEP HUH ?!”

“WAH! Sister Nia!”

A woman stood before the wide-open door, a haired woman

blond and dressed, the nun put on a very, very scary face,

her eyes opened wide staring at me, yes she is Sister Nia, a chief Sister

who takes care of the Orphan house where I live and is the daughter of

the late owner of this orphanage.

“Tu-Wait, nurse don't act rashly!” A wooden bench

hovering in the air quickly struck towards the direction where I was sleeping.

“White rancid, you see what time it is now, the other children

have started activities while you are here still enjoying a relaxing sleep.”

Sister Nia shook her head, exasperated.

“I'm sorry sister, I was too tired yesterday hunting in the forest,”

panicked

“Many reasonsx, you think I don't know why you're late for home

yesterday, you were playing around again in those ruins.”

Shit it turns out the nurse knows, I turned my eyes away from the nurse, she

also approached me.

“How many times have I told Seva, that place is dangerous, what if

something bad happened to you, what are you going to do? You're still a kid,”

said Sister Ani.

It is common for me to be scolded and advised by him, me too

also know she said this because she loves me.

I couldn't say anything more just bowing my head, I heard

sister Ani sighed.

“Listen Seva, you may be the oldest child in this orphanage but you're not

meaning you can do whatever you want, you should be a good example

for other kids.” Sister Ani said that while sitting on the

next to me.

“I'm sorry sister,” I said slowly staring back at her.

Sister Ani's face began to slowly softly unlike earlier, she smiled

towards me then held my left shoulder with his soft hand.

“If you're really sorry.” His tone began to feel soft,

but why does my feeling not feel good to hear his tone.

“As your punishment this time, you should wash the dishes, sweep the pages, and,

washing and drying clothes then collecting firewood in the forest.”

Oh no, it turns out my feelings are right, he won't just give

forgiver.

“Ta-But sus-” hasn't had time to finish my sentence, the sister's hand

being on my shoulder started to grip hard.

“But what?” The cynical smile she gave me never failed to make me

goosebumps. “Seva?”

I laughed awkwardly. “But of course I'll do it.”

I dare not mess with him.

then, hurry down and have breakfast, and then do all your punishment. Remember, though,

don't let anyone miss.”

Quickly I said. “Each nurse!”

Sister Ani gave a thin smile and slowly left

leaving my room, I let out a long breath. “This will be the day that

length.”

I live in an orphanage from my childhood, once this place

not an orphanage but a church, said the late owner

my orphanage used to be Father Martin. He found me abandoned in

on the terrace of his church, because he felt sorry he finally nurtured and

raised me.

Father Martin decided to open an orphanage

for children who need a family warmth that never

they feel.

I have lived with them for 16 years, the first of which was just me

now we are like a big family with a total of 10 children and 3 administrators

parlors like sister Ani, sister Siska and sister Lisa.

Father Martin died two years ago leaving behind a terrible grief

in the case of this orphanage, I have considered the late pastor martin

like my own father and sister Ani are like my older sister.

I got out of my bed and walked downstairs, when I got there

there I see everyone has done their own activities

even though the kids play more often.

In the kitchen I saw Sister Lisa tidying the dining table, she saw me

walked near him.

“See, who finally decided to join.” Sister

Lisa smiled at me.

“I'm sorry sister, I'm late waking up again.” Say it while rubbing

my back head.

Sister Lisa just smiled faintly and said. “It's okay, though,

you have breakfast there first, I've set aside food for you inside

cabinet.”

“Thank you Sister Lisa.” I immediately rushed to the closet

referred to Sister Lisa, there is already a bowl of porridge available, soon I

eat it and wash that dirty bowl and the other dirty dishes.

After that I went straight to the front yard and started sweeping it, in

there I saw Sister Siska playing with some of the orphanage children

else, he saw me sweeping the courtyard and gave a smile I replied

that smile.

Does not feel the time is taken care of quickly, all the tasks given

I have resolved only one left is to find firewood.

Before leaving I rested for a moment on the terrace, gusts of wind

it felt so soft on my face, the humorous sound of laughter from the other children

faint sounds in my ears.

Ah, so peaceful! I thought for a moment, before I finally went inside

to prepare the equipment I want to carry.

When I wanted to open the exit, I saw Sister Ani standing up

on terrace. He was aware of my presence and looked at me.

“Seva, already want to leave huh?”

Isn't it obvious?

“Yes, Sister” I said looking at her.

“Ah, okay. But remember.” He pointed at me with a look

like a sister, and then continue. “Be careful and don't

go home tonight, okay?”

I just smiled walking past him, after a few steps

turning towards her smiled widely and said, “Alright Sister!”

Sister Ani sighed then smiled.
