The Wanderer's

The Wanderer's
Roothorns!

We continued to move agilely, avoiding those roots

while still trying to fight the monsters that are chasing us. Our heartbeats

it was getting faster, and sweat was pouring down from our faces. I tried

think fast, figure out how to deal with these roots.

“Sial, these roots are annoying once!” pissed me.

Every time we tried to run, the roots extended

and ambushed suddenly like giant hands trying to catch

prey.

"We have to find a way to stop the roots

that, Seva!" arin said with a face that started to panic.

I took out my dagger trying to cut off the roots

elongated. But it all feels in vain. Every time I cut, I,

the roots quickly regenerated.

I looked for a moment, looking for a solution. "We can't

keep running, these roots grow back too fast. We need to

deal with it with a different strategy."

I looked around, looking for something that could help

our. My eyes were fixed on a large stone located not far from

where we stand.

"Arin, look over there! Do you see a big rock

that?" I asked while pointing.

Arin nodded. "Yes, I saw it! What should

we do with that rock?"

"Let's use this stone to stop the roots

that," I said as I planned my next move.

We both ran towards the big rock. With all my might

energy, we try to roll it towards the approaching roots. Within

one good moment, we rolled the big rock. When the big rock

touching the roots, we can see the roots are hit and not

could move.

"It's time to run!" I told Arin.

We both ran away, avoiding the roots

it stopped for a moment because of the big stone. Our adrenaline continues

peaking, because we knew the monster wouldn't just stop.

As we continued to move, I turned to look

the direction of the monster. As if feeling no pain, the monster suddenly

cutting off his own arm with one ferocious move. Then, the monster

back after us with burning eyes and killing intent.

We continued to run as fast as we could, the monster's movements

the sooner if we stop for a while maybe the monster can

overtaking us. Suddenly, I saw something at the end of the forest

surprised me.

"Arin, look!" I shouted while pointing in the direction

a figure standing on the edge of the forest.

Arin, who was focused on running, looked in the direction

point at. The figure of the man was standing upright in different looking clothes

from our clothes. He had red hair tied up and the look in his eyes

apprehensive.

"Quick! Run towards me!" exclaim the man with

a vibrating voice.

Without a second thought I immediately pulled Arin's arm,

we immediately ran towards the man.

After a while, we managed to reach the edge of the forest in the

where the man stood. When we got there, we found ourselves

a group of heavily armed men ready.

In a state of surprise, I took a deep breath and

he asked, "Who are you?"

The red-haired man gently touched my shoulder and

smiling, "You have nothing to fear, they are citizens of the village

spool. I'm Kyle, the knight on duty in the mill village."

We were relieved to hear Kyle's explanation. However, I still

confused, "But why did you save us? And what relationship

you guys with that monster?"

Kyle drew closer and replied, "While in the village, we

I felt a small earthquake and also heard a big rumble. When we search

the source, I saw you two in danger, so we decided to

guessing, it was Roothorn who created the small earthquake earlier.”

“Roothorn?” ask Arin confused.

Before Kyle could answer, one of the people from the group

it's shouting. “Kyle! He's close!” Roothorn approached quickly, making

the ground around me shook. The group of people immediately made a defensive line.

“Sorry, explanation later. We have to beat

this monster,” said Kyle pulled out a sword sheathed on his back. It

immediately put the horses ready to attack the monster.

“We will help,” I offer to take out the dagger that was sheathed in

my waist. Kyle looked at me and smiled, then nodded his head

signs agree.

The monster was getting closer, the faces of the citizens were also visible

getting panicked. “Do not be daunted! The monster is alone, we can definitely

defeating him,” Kyle said in a resolute voice made the citizens excited

they took up arms and shouted. “For the village of mill!”

With increasingly flaming eyes, the Roothorn monster finally

out of the dense forest towards the open plains. When his body is big

moving through the trees, the huge trees were blown away like paper

flown by strong winds. Leaves and branches fly in

the air, creating a terrifying sight.

"O Boothorn, stop your destructive actions

it's!" kyle exclaimed with a voice that echoed around the plains. "We, we,

the townspeople of the mill, won't let you cause chaos on the ground

us!"

The mill villagers who were behind Kyle as well

shouting with passion.

“Arin, you back off,” I told Arin. Arin nodded

his head then went to keep his distance from the battlefield.

The ground around Roothorn was now shaking even more violently. The monster landed

one of his legs was powerful, creating a small earthquake that made the villagers

tottering. However, they remained steadfastly standing, showing no sense of

dreaded.

Me and the villagers came forward, trying to attack Roothorn from all directions,

trying to cut the roots that keep growing and touch the ground.

However, Roothorn was not an easy opponent to defeat. The monster took out

counterattack using his long root-shaped hand,

blocking our attacks.

The ground continued to shake, and the roar of attacks and the cries of the villagers filled the air.

It got to the point where Roothorn roared loudly, from his roots that

growing longitudinal sharp spines.

In one blow from Roothorn's roots, several residents were crushed and seriously injured.

Kyle, who saw the situation getting more and more urgent, ordered the citizens to

back off and keep your distance.

Just as I was about to retreat, one of Roothorn's roots pointed at me. In one blow

the strong one, I crashed into the air drifting without direction. Roothorn is fast

back to directing his attacks at me.

I tried to control my body so as not to fall hard, but roots

The elongated Roothorn was so fast, it made it difficult for me to dodge. Root end

it was sharp and taper, similar to a giant spear that shot out rapidly

towards me.

Those moments felt like time was slowing down. The roots seem to be getting

approaching at a terrible speed. “Seva!” I can hear arin

yells. Suddenly a golden light appeared right in front of me, making Edge

the sharp root broke apart when it came into contact with the light.

As I looked towards Arin, suddenly the atmosphere was all around

we changed. The wind blew fiercely, the leaves trembled, and the sky began

it emits a dazzling light.

Arin lowered his head. He stretched out both his hands

upwards, and suddenly his body began to emit a golden radiance like

that mysterious light.

Arin raised his head and looked at Roothorn with a look

sharply, both of his eyes also lit up with a golden radiance. “I won't

let you hurt Seva!” he shouted, his voice sounding strong and full

convictions.
