Trapped in the Love of Stepchildren
Chapter 14's

“What are you thinking, Daniel?" asked Laura softly.

Daniel looked at Laura and began to open his heart. "I feel very depressed, Laura," she said. "Everyone keeps putting pressure on me about our relationship. I feel that I can't fight that anymore."

Laura took a deep breath before answering. "You're not alone, Daniel," he said. "I also feel depressed about this situation. But I'm not gonna let that ruin our relationship."

Daniel looked at Laura sincerely. "I love you, Laura," she said. "But I feel that I'm not strong enough to fight all this."

Laura grabbed her hand and looked into her eyes affectionately. "We're going to get through this together, Daniel," he said. "We will be stronger and support each other. We will prove to those around us that our relationship is real and sincere."

Daniel smiled, relieved after talking to Laura. He felt that he was not alone in this situation and that they would go through this together. He decides to talk to his mother about his love affair with Laura and proves that they can have a good and happy relationship.

The next day, Daniel arranged a time to meet his mother. They sit on the porch and start talking about Daniel's love affair with Laura. Her mother was worried about how their relationship would affect family relationships and the feelings of other relatives.

However, Daniel spoke sincerely and honestly. He explains that their love relationship is real and that they support each other. She asks her mother to understand her feelings and provide support for her love affair with Laura.

"Mother I have something to talk to you about" Daniel replied seriously.

His mother nodded and they sat together on a chair on the porch of the house. Daniel begins to talk about his love affair with Laura.

"Mom, I want to talk about Laura" she said. "I know you are worried about our relationship and how it will affect our family and those around us.”

His mother nodded and said, "Yes, I'm worried. How your relationship will affect your family and other relatives' feelings."

Daniel looked at his mother sincerely and honestly. "Mom, our relationship is real. We love each other and support each other. I ask you to understand my feelings and provide support for my love affair with Laura."

Daniel's mother pondered for a moment before answering. "I'm still worried about how this will affect our family,” he said. "But I saw how you treated Laura and how you looked after her. I believe that you love her sincerely."

Daniel smiled with relief and was moved by his mother's support. "Thank you, Mother. I really appreciate it. I promise that I will always treat Laura well and appreciate her."

"Mom will always support you, Daniel. I want you to be happy and support your love affair with Laura" she said with a gentle smile.

Daniel was relieved and grateful to hear his mother's words. He knows that they still have to overcome obstacles in their love relationship, but at least he feels he has the support of his mother.

Daniel smiled and sat down beside Laura. "Everything is fine" he said. "But now I just want to focus on our relationship and our future together."

Laura looked at Daniel with affection. "I understand, baby," he said. "I'm always here for you and we'll get through this together."

Daniel was relieved to hear that. He knows that he has found someone who truly loves him and will always support him. He hugged Laura tightly and said, "I love you, Laura."

Laura returned Daniel's embrace tightly. "I love you too, Daniel," he said affectionately.

They sat in the living room and chatted about their future together. Daniel was relieved that he had someone who cared so much about him and loved him so much. He felt that he had found his true happiness with Laura.

As they speak, Daniel realizes that he no longer feels frustrated and angry over the pressure from those around him about his love affair with Laura. He feels confident that their relationship will work and they will pass all the obstacles together.

After spending time with Laura, Daniel felt more relieved and happy. He realized that he had found his true happiness with those who loved him. He no longer felt worried about his future, because he knew that he would always have someone who loved him and supported him.

With a calm and happy mind, Daniel is ready to face all the obstacles and challenges to come. He feels confident that he will go through it all together with Laura and create a future full of happiness together.

Laura sat in front of the family lawyer, her hands trembling as she waited to hear what the lawyer was going to say. Daniel sat beside her, his hand tightly holding Laura's hand.

"Sir, what is the meaning of all this?" asked Laura in a soft voice.

The lawyer looked at Laura seriously. "Laura, I must tell you that your relationship with Daniel may be considered illegal in some situations."

Laura was shocked and silent for a moment. "How can it be illegal? I don't understand" Laura said in surprise.

The lawyer explained, "Since Daniel is your stepson and the son of your ex-husband, some countries or regions of the world consider this kind of relationship to be incestuous and punishable by imprisonment."

Laura felt her heart pounding and could not believe what she was hearing. "But we didn't do anything wrong. We just love each other" he said in a trembling voice.

Daniel looked at Laura softly and clasped his hands even tighter. "We knew that this was a risk when we decided to be a couple. But we love each other and don't want to be apart" Daniel said steadily.

The lawyer nodded and said, "I understand your feelings, but I'll have to tell you about the legal consequences of your relationship. If you are reported and convicted of violating the law, you may be shunned by everyone including your own family.”

Laura felt as if her world was being destroyed. She has lost her husband in a car accident and then finds a second love in Daniel. Now, everything he has built with Daniel could end up in prison.
