Chapter 10 - Regrets

Mario's point of view is one of those reincarnated.

I woke up to a very loud noise from outside, and I heard a commotion from inside the palace, and there was a knock on the door from my luxurious room.

After I finished using my equipment, I walked out the door and saw a very bright light from the window facing the city, I walked towards the window because this bright light was so strange in the middle of the night.

When I looked at the window, I was very surprised by what I saw, the state of the city is already filled with fire and ruins and even more terrifyingly there are sizable holes in all parts of the city that form craters like being hit by a meteor.

Seeing that I was upset that it could be a disgrace to my own name I am the fourth prince of the Hedom kingdom, Rei Hedom, he said, the fortress city that was on the border with the monster area was destroyed by one monster would be put where my face if facing father later.

I ordered the soldier to gather all the troops in the palace grounds, I walked towards the balcony of the courtyard and after a while in front of me there were already five thousand knights and a thousand mages and two Elite generals (General Elite was the highest post in the Hedom military because their duty was to protect the members of the kingdom thus need high authority, but not the strongest generals) by my side.

The soldier trembled and was terrified, I ordered all the soldiers to set up a defensive formation, I climbed the wall to look at the monster.

When I went up and saw for myself the monster was a terrible figure with horn-white hair on both sides of its head and a slightly human-looking face, with a teenager-like body size and a strange left hand like a blue flame and his right leg was pitch-black.

But that's not what scared me but the head he held with his left hand, that head was the Elite general leading the troops out.

The monster continued walking and he shot an enormous fire at the huge palace door made of thick Metal until it melted.

Dam I saw a lot of black balls attached to the entire palace walls, one of the generals named Lukas pulled me down and led me to the back of the palace.

The balls were enlarged and covered the entire wall and the soldiers who were guarding the wall and suddenly disappeared, the wall became hollow and collapsed and many soldiers split their bodies to make the ground red.

Luke kept pulling me to the stables and he told me to run, I refused his orders because it would be a disgrace to my own name and he said if the city had no hope anymore, in the middle of our discussion.

When I rode the horse for a minute, suddenly my horse fell down until I was lying on the ground, I sat down and looked back and the monster was already behind with a cold look.

I fell silent and looked at Luke's head which was already on it and was still bleeding, my body was drying and the overwhelming fear I felt until my chest was tight.

"what are you Mario"

I heard the voice of that monster calling my name with a heavy voice and the spelling was still a little messy, though, I was thinking if he was one of my classmates back then because no one knew our names before coming to this world other than the old classmate.

"Well, I'm Mario your classmate before coming to this world, you're not gonna kill me we're classmates"

"Ah it turns out Mario, long time no see you know who I am?, we used to have fun"

I don't know because his face is so ugly maybe because he became a monster so his face is different like nothing else like before.

"Reza, I know you're Reza"

"It's not Gabi"

Hearing the name Gabi made my whole body goosebumps and sweat as big as corn kernels dripped all over my skin because I used to be one of the people who did the worst bullying to Gabi.

I bowed down and asked for forgiveness for all my bad deeds for bullying Gabi, but she stepped on my right palm.

"I have also prostrated myself to ask forgiveness from you when I was wrong but did you stop after I prostrated?"

I couldn't reply to her words, she pressed her feet until my palm shattered and stumbled , I screamed so loud that I cried and pulled my arm from her leg and my palm was gone because it was broken and it was on her leg.

I kept shouting with my tag that was spitting out a lot of blood and I stabbed him with my sword and he easily held the sword with his hand, my head was already unable to think of fighting and using the skill only a great fear devoured all the contents of my head.

My sword melted quickly and he took the melt of my sword that fell on the ground and attached the hot metal to my injured hand.

I kept screaming and begging for mercy but he kept torturing me, he crushed all my legs and hands until my voice ran out to scream and my tears had dried up to not be able to come out again.

He set his foot on my chest and as my vision darkened I heard a broken twig-like sound and I knew it was my broken and crushed breast bone from being stepped on I regretted it all the things I did before.

But it's too late as a result of what I did before, everything I've accepted now and this is the death of all my friends is blurred and slowly my eyes close until everything goes dark.
