True Monsters
Chapter 41 - Monsters

Rudo's point of view

" ha ha ha ha"

A small sigh kept coming out of my mouth, I kept walking straight following the not-so-big road that would fit in just one horse carriage.

I can't think of anything anymore, I can only follow this small path of taking me somewhere with a blank look I keep walking while looking at the dry land.

Until it unknowingly rained very hard and I looked up at the dark cloud cover the whole sky I did not know if it was day or night.

In the rain I could only cry by shouting loudly.

"Ahhhh why is all this happening, I just want to live happily with my sister, is there no God? where are you?"

After a few minutes I shouted I stopped and sat on a puddle of wet ground that started to become mud.

I raised my right hand and saw that there was a bloodstain that had been mixed with mud and I heard a groaning from behind me.

"So why did you leave me?"

I looked back and I saw my sister's head and her body being separated and her eyes staring intently at me through my mind and I screamed loudly.

"I'm sorry"

"Oooo what's up, son?" with a soft voice.

huh what happened?, I was on the bed and I saw an old woman sitting next to the mattress with a bowl of warm porridge.

"You're awake, thank goodness you were safe you were just having a bad dream"

I couldn't return her words because my lips were so stiff that I couldn't move them.

"Now you eat first well, I'll be out"

The woman walked slowly out of the room, I could only lower my head and scavenge slowly as the pain in my chest was very painful.

My tears stopped when I smelled the delicious aroma of the porridge and in an instant my stomach was very hungry and I quickly picked up the porridge and ate it quickly.

After I finished eating my body started to get powered up and my lips started to speak, I walked towards that plain wooden door.

When I opened the door slowly and it was seen a very simple dining room that there were a lot of fabric and clothes arranged neatly on a wooden wall.

"oh, you've been complaining?"

The voice that my mother made came from my right.

"Thank you Mom for supporting me"

"It's okay" with a smile.

"Do you know the state of my town?"

"I don't know for sure but your hometown has been leveled by monsters and I found you on a road that is quite far from your city and here is a small village that is quite far from the road primary"

Ah I could only look down and a sense of regret suddenly arose in my heart and I asked in my heart.

"Why should I live?"

"hey what's your name?"

In an instant I woke up in my daydream, I straightened my head and looked at the mother again.

"my name is Rudo"

"I'm Mehima, you're safe here, take it easy"

I sat on the floor and saw that the mother was knitting blue and had a triangular motif that was red and white.

"Mother's a clothes seller?"

"Yes I'm the only clothes maker in this village"

"It's worth having so many clothes in this room, but how come there's this much? are the villagers numerous enough?"

"The inhabitants of this village are not much just me"

Huh I was confused to hear his words and I did not dare to ask the reason why this villager was just him.

"I'm making clothes for you, do you like it?"

"I love it, blue is my favorite color"

The mother continued to knit the shirt with a faint smile on her lips, I walked towards the door then suddenly there was a sound of hard-trodden wood.

The mother stood up from her seat and left the clothes she was making.

"Wait for Rudo where are you going?"

"Ah I just want to see things around"

"You're not going anywhere, are you?"

The mother's face became very lively but she slowly sat back down and began to knit again.

I opened the door slowly and saw a very thick forest and around the house was visible the debris of a house that had been destroyed and weathered and there was a scorched stain.

The land in the village was a little uneven with a lot of basins.

The village had been abandoned for a long time and the mother was still here, I walked to the area and there were many tombs close to Mehima's mother's house.

In the tomb there were so many beautiful flowers, I walked in the middle of the tomb and anyone would know if the tomb was treated with great care.

"This is the tomb of the villagers"

Mehima's mother's voice sounded from behind me.

"This village used to be very peaceful and filled with cheerful children, my family and I are very happy living in this village until one day there was a disaster that hit this village"

"The disaster came very quickly and when everyone was asleep and I was in the woods collecting stone ornaments for clothes, suddenly there was a very loud sound like a rock hitting the ground"

"When I returned to the village I saw a very large fire and it was seen that my entire village was already flattened to the ground"

"I ran to my house left in the rubble, and I saw my son and my husband burned"

The mother cried while sitting near her son's grave.

I left that mother who was scavenging while hugging the tombstone and went to look for the source of the explosion, in my mind it seemed like it was a meteor rock that hit this village.

And as I headed towards the village square the state grew more and more chaotic that indicated the source of the explosion was near.

And sure enough there was a very large and deep basin and in the middle it had already begun to be covered by the ground.

I went down to the crater and dug the ground by hand to look for the meteorite because of high curiosity.

Until my hand formed a hard object and the shape of the object began to look and it turned out to be a fairly large sword.

I was astonished to see the sword because it was so beautiful and it felt like it was calling to me.

I held onto the handle of the sword and suddenly there was like something entering my body until my entire body was filled with a strange feeling and in an instant the pain that was inside my heart was radiated exiting.

"Ahhhhhhhh"

I screamed out in pain my chest felt like it wanted to explode and this hatred continued to overflow.

And suddenly there was writing in front of me.

"Do you want revenge?"

Looking at the writing I can only nod while remembering with my sister's eyes.

"Do you want to stop being human?"

Looking at this writing I have a little doubt but this hatred is much greater than my fear and I immediately nodded.

Then my whole body was enveloped by pitch-black clouds and I started to feel the strangeness of my body my arms were like enlarged even my voice was starting to get weird.

Until the black cloud was gone I saw my tanga was no longer like a human but a strange monster.

"Haaa what the hell is this"

I fell down unconsciously the sword slipped off the ground because I was still holding the sword.

"The monster?"

A voice came from behind me, when I turned my head, it turned out that there was Mehima's mother who was looking at me.

"It's not me"

Uh there's something strange I can't speak properly, my voice is like a mute.

Mehima's mother ran away in fear and as she ran there was a bloodlust pouring into my head, that bloodlust kept filling my head with whispers that kept sounding in my ears.

"Kill him, kill him, kill him"

Ahhhh this is nothing and for a while my consciousness seemed to disappear and after I realized I opened my eyes slowly, I felt warmth from my hands.

And I saw my right hand stabbing Mehima's mother in the chest.

But there is something strange my heart does not feel sad and sorry but a taste that I do not know but I do not hate this.
