Two Men

Two Men
The Arrival of Mr. Kemal

"Sorry Om is a hassle" said Mr. Kemal.

Apparently Kania's father came because he was in the area as well. Already asked Radit for permission, but the man did not know if it would be this fast.

"No pa-pa, Om. Sorry, there's only water." Radit keeps a small bottle of mineral water. He has not been able to shop. Just natural.

Mr. Kemal smiled a little. "Don't bother, son. Om just play too. Your mother likes to say tell me to stop by when you're here."

Radit. He invited Mr. Kemal to eat with rendang. However, Kania's father refused on the grounds that he was still full.

The mood changed quietly. Radit felt the arrival of Mr. Kemal here was not just a stop by.

"Oh, yeah, kid. Your office is far from here?" mr. Kemal asked, breaking the silence between them. The air here is not the same as the capital, a little cooler and also cooler. Maybe because there are still many forests and gardens.

"No, Om. Pretty close. It's five minutes from here" Radit replied.

"The same thing with that one over there, huh?"

"Yes, Om."

"Since there's no you, Kania also so bring the car again. He said that taking public transport is sometimes urgent."

Radit knew that. He also understands the character of Kania who does not like many people.

Mr. Kemal's two eyeballs swept through Radit's apartment. Pretty clean and spacious. It can be said that this neighbor's child is indeed diligent and maintains good hygiene.

Radit feels the urge to urinate. He went to the bathroom and left Mr. Kemal.

That's when the bell rings. Mr. Kemal was still silent, but the second one just stood up. Maybe people out there have an urgent interest in Radit. Forced by Mr. Kemal to open the door.

Gendis is coming. The woman with long wet hair looked at the figure of Mr. Kemal. It was an old man Radit.

"I'm sorry, sir, I want to give this to Mr. Radit" said Gendis slightly embarrassed. Give her a box of food she bought online.

Mr. Kemal accepted well without questioning who Gendis was. "Good, Son. Radit's going to the bathroom. Wait or what?"

Gendis has never been in here. Of course because of shame and respect Radit who seems to be very maintain interaction with the opposite sex. Little can he understand how Radit's beliefs.

"No need, sir. I just give it that. Thank you also because Mr. Radit has given rendang from his mother," said Gendis.

Mr. Kemal was not too surprised. Everyone has the right to give anything to someone else. Of course in work there will always be female and male coworkers. All are mixed and hard to avoid.

"Well, later you say," said Mr. Kemal.

Gendis gave a small smile. "Thank you, sir. Then I'll say goodbye."

"Together, Son."

Gendis immediately left Radit's room. Didn't expect Mr. Kemal to look at him from the doorway.

Mr. Kemal himself entered after closing the door while carrying the food. Meet the Radit who's back.

"Om, what's the matter?" ask Radit. A little surprised also with the father of this friend.

Mr. Kemal gave Gendis a seat on Radit. "There was a sweet girl coming. He said it's for you."

Radit's mind went straight to Gendis. No one knows where Radit lives. "Ah, he's my coworker, Om." Radit took over the food box. "Come, we'll eat together."

"You better say thank you first. She's a nice, sweet girl."

"Good, Om."

They also sat down again. Radit opened the food box. Apparently sweet martabak with cheese and chocolate flavor. So dimmer.

"Please eat, Om." Radit shifted the box. Respect Mr. Kemal like his own parents. Life without a father is painful, but Mr. Kemal always acts like a father to Radit. This was the reason the man loved the Kania family so much.

"Yes, son." Mr. Kemal took one small piece. Appreciate Radit anyway and don't want to offend him. However, the man has become a friend and helper of Kania.

"You must be strong. Every human being is not successful. Crawling first can only be better," said Mr. Kemal..

Radit understands. To make Mother happy is her duty now. Of course not in terms of material things, but also from the path of devotion as a child.

"Oh, yeah, kid. You are quite mature as Kania," added Mr. Kemal.

Radit's heart is shaking. Is it possible that Mr Kemal will discuss the matter of a mate?

"Don't you want to get married? Let your mother also have friends at home" asked Mr. Kemal.

Radit had guessed. Marriage will be a hot topic to talk about at this age. For a man, he is not yet fully ready.

"Not Om telling you to get married. It should have been Kania because she was a girl." Mr. Kemal tried to speak softly. This was done on the message of Bu Wati. "But .. if there is a candidate, you should accelerate it. Don't stay in unauthorized contact for too long."

Not just for Radit. The father of two did the same to Kania. He considers Radit to be equal in position with Kania. Nothing is distinguished.

"I'm sorry, if you feel this Om is interfering. Om, just suggest," said Mr. Kemal again.

Radit's no problem. As a parent obviously Kania's father has a great conscience to educate children better, although not his own flesh and blood..

"No pa-pa, Om. I thank you for reminding Om, but so far I have no romance with the opposite sex" Radit replied.

Mr. Kemal understands. He is relieved that Radit grew up without a father, but can hold fast to good principles.

Radit was silent for a moment. I want to say more about his feelings. However, doubt. But the time is very fitting.

"Thank God, son. Om, just want you and Kania to both get a good candidate. Of course you also have to continue to improve, do not cheat," added Mr. Kemal.

"It's God, Om." Radit is still considering the honesty of his feelings for Mr. Kemal. It might surprise the father of the two children.

They kept talking until it didn't feel like the time was eight o'clock in the evening. Mr. Kemal would not feel good if he continued to be here. He was happy because he had also booked a hotel.

"Om, say goodbye first, yeah. Assalamualaikum." Mr. Kemal stood up. Radit is coming too. "Take care of yourself."

"Om, if I come to the house can I?" Suddenly Radit said that.

Mr. Kemal's forehead is tightening. Radit doesn't usually ask for permission. Isn't that child free to come at any time?

"Aren't you coming all this time?" ask Mr. Kemal while laughing.

Radit. His gaze was fixed and even sangar was difficult to decipher.

Mr. Kemal felt his neighbor's son was acting strangely. "Do you have something to talk about?" In the end, Mr. Kemal asked again rather than being haunted by curiosity about what happened.

Radit gave a rough breath. "It's about Kania, Om."

"Why is he? Is he bothering you or what?"

Radit's heart whispered. Encourage him to be honest. He also talked. Not good half.

"I intend to come home not just play, but …." Radit was still doubtful. They can usually speak freely without fear.

"You have other intentions?" Mr. Kemal can guess. Remembering he was a man who had gone through youth. "As a man, I just want to give you one piece of advice."

Radit.

Mr. Kemal patted Radit on the right shoulder and said, "Son, if you have someone worth fighting for, then quickly come to see his parents. Because the real man is not the one who invites his way here and there, but the one who dares to propose to his woman."

That sentence seemed to insinuate Radit. He himself could not do that. Maybe because it was awkward, because between him and Kania was like a brother. However, this feeling cannot be ignored.

"Be a real man who has good man. In this world there is no perfect man, who has no faults or does no harm. But ... We can change for good and continue to improve so that God also prepares the best soul mate. Do not delay good intentions because God actually prefers such a thing," continued Mr. Kemal who managed to open both eyes Radit.

"Om, I'll come home after the holidays. Hopefully Om and his family can accept" Radit said with confidence and certainty.

Mr. Kemal smiled. "Come, son." Patting Radit's shoulder once again, then really saying goodbye.
