Chapter 16: The Decision

Atlas and Anthony were standing at the door of the old building. The two men stood upright looking in the same direction, namely at the Eximo members. Atlas himself was a little unperturbed when he saw the Eximo members staring intently and alert at him.

“What does this mean, Vice Chairman—Anthony Blade?!” said the man in stout, firm.

Anthony looked calm, took a deep breath, replied, “I know this defies the wishes of all of us, Eric.” He was silent for a while. “But we can't beat the Libra.”

“You are The Libra?” The burly man, Dominic Will—Chairman Eximo, stared intently at Atlas. “Element A—”

Atlas without a doubt darted fast and bullied Dominic until it crashed long before the man finished his sentence. It was obvious that the other Eximo members had directly stormed the young man together.

“Strike!” one of the Eximo members.

Without hesitation they all darted forward, about to slash Atlas using the sword in their hands. They were all immediately provoked when Atlas attacked Dominic suddenly.

Slowly Atlas carried Erabus through the body, then made a manual scale with Erabus in the right hand. He took a deep breath and gathered Erabus into his mouth.

“Libra Scales: Equivalent Exchange!” Atlas blew the left side of the manual scales with a gust of wind mixed with Erabus.

The sound of bells rang out, making a gust of wind that immediately threw the enemy in all directions. Everyone who attacked him instantly floated far back, even further away than Dominic.

“I'm not good enough and patient to face the opponent,” said Atlas as he walked up to Dominic who was trying to get up. “Do not dare to move from there.” He stepped on Dominic with his right foot. Atlas did this not without reason, but because he knew that the only way to make stubborn opponents like them submissive was to show a difference in strength.

Dominic trembled a little at Atlas's unemphatic gaze. The look in his eyes was so intimidating, that even Dominic raised both hands. “I ... lose ...”

“Alright,” said Atlas, go away and get closer to Felix and Kaysen. Atlas then handed Felix's younger brother over to Felix. “She's okay. Just fainted.”

“Ya ..” Felix held his sister, relieved. “Thank you, Atlas.”

Just before Atlas replied, Anthony suddenly cut off the conversation, “So how, The Libra?” Slowly he approached. “You won't forget your promise, right?”

For a moment, Atlas let out a long breath, saying to Felix, “They are not all criminals. They are just like your subordinates, only the Nomos are already tired in the fight. Are you going to punish them all?”

“What?!” The one who was shocked the first time when he heard this was not Felix, but Kaysen who was right next to the young man. “Why would Nomos do something like this?!”

“I agree with Kaysen!” sahut Felix's. “They must want to trick you, Atlas?! You better not believe.”

“I believe in them.” Atlas stood to the right of Anthony, still facing Felix and Kaysen. “I'm not a person so stupid to be cheated.”

“It ...” Kaysen was at a loss for words to say. In addition, since he had already decided where to side, he then stepped forward, then stood next to Atlas. This was not because he betrayed Felix, but because Kaysen had already decided to follow Atlas from the beginning.

“Kaysen ..?” Felix does not believe that Kaysen is now on Atlas' side, not helping him. Understanding that he would not win, Felix said, “You asked me if I would punish them or not, right, Atlas?”

“That's the same you didn't give me a choice.”

“That's just your interpretation,” Atlas deliberately said that in a flat tone.

Felix stared intently at Atlas's eyes, not looking daunted in the slightest. He turned his eyes to Anthony. “You are Anthony Blade, right? I've heard a lot about you. I really didn't think you'd be in a place like this.”

“It is an honor for me to be noticed by the Young Master,” replied Anthony, humbling himself in front of Felix.

“But ...,” Felix still does not change its stance that easily, “I will affirm that it is indeed the duty of everyone to sacrifice for the sake of the Air Kingdom! You ... no. We all including me are indeed required to serve the Air Kingdom and His Majesty the King!”

“You know how we feel?!” For the first time Atlas heard Anthony raise his tone. “We were forced to fight to the battlefield even though we didn't want to! And it was done not to protect the Air Kingdom, but for the king's crazy desire!”

“You dare to be impolite to His Majesty the King?!” Felix replied.

Atlas just kept quiet, letting Felix and Anthony argue with each other. Here Atlas can understand both sides well, where one side is Nomos who has lost his family and does not want to serve the king again, one was a man who was very obedient to the king.

However, a few moments later Anthony was more provoked and was about to attack Felix. Fortunately Atlas stopped the action before it could happen. Atlas did not want any bloodshed, so now he had to take the initiative to mediate.

“I'm not on any side,” Atlas said.

Anthony regained his composure after feeling the aura released by Atlas. It was clear that this man did not dare to confront Atlas whose strength he did not know to what extent his limits were.

“What if we take the middle way only,” continued Atlas, start giving suggestions. “Essentially Eximo wants to be released from Nomos, while Felix cannot accept the request because it is bound by the rules. However, what if Eximo was released for one year on condition of keeping this incident a secret.”

“I don't think that's a bad enough thing ...” Of course Anthony and also the other Eximo members did not want this kind of result. However, they clearly understand that this is the best result.

On the other hand, Felix can indeed use his power to crush Eximo, although today he can die or even be detained. However, the fact that he was now in danger of not only himself, but also his sister, obviously he could not take such a big risk.

Felix then took a deep breath, rounding out the decision. “I think it's a middle point that's not bad.”

Finally the decision was made. This was a better end compared to the other bloodshed. In addition, from the fight there was also not a single person who died, but only injured and lost consciousness temporarily.
