Chapter 17: The Gods
The center of the Kingdom of Api—The Judgment Region of Mida, an area controlled by the first prince, contained a magnificent palace. The palace was founded by Neo King Khufu Ra-Mida shortly after becoming king. He dismantled the old building and made a new building that was much larger.
On top of a throne, there was a man with a crown shaped like a coiled snake made of gold, sitting without displaying any expression. The man calmly looked forward, where it appeared that some people were prostrating themselves worshiping him.
“Bring me a young man with a healthy body without disabilities,” said the man on the throne who was none other than King Neo Khufu Ra-Mida.
“According to your orders, Dewaku,” five people replied in front of the king. The five people then stood up and immediately walked out of the throne room.
Neo Khufu then descended from the throne, walking towards the window. The wind was blowing from the open window when the man glanced down, where there was a large field with a high fence at the end.
Before long, there was a knock on the door and the voice of a young man, “Dewaku, the servant is Menes Djer Ra-Mida, begging for mercy.”
Neo Khufu still had a flat face, answering, “Come to my son.”
“Thank you, Dewaku.” Menes immediately opened the door and entered into the throne room. Unasked or whatever, the first prince of the Kingdom of Fire prostrated himself to the King who was looking out the window. “Hamba expects the generosity of the Great God to give enlightenment.”
Like ignoring Menes just like that, Neo Khufu walked back to the throne and sat down. He did not immediately reply, but instead delayed for some time, leaving the room quiet.
On the other hand, Menes was still prostrating before Neo Khufu told him to move. The young man obediently entrusted himself to the King.
“Menes Djer Ra-Mida,” says Neo Khufu.
“Hamba does not deserve your praise, Dewaku,” Menes replied. “Show me the way to the servant, then the servant will present everything.”
“Prepare a big sacrifice for tonight.”
“As per your order, Dewaku.” Menes immediately got up and walked away from the throne room.
Again, Neo Khufu became the only person inside the thata room. For a moment he closed his eyes, remembering the dream he had last night. For Neo Khufu, the dream forgets a vision of the future, where right on this night, the Aries will appear in the dome of Mount Tefnut.
After a few moments, the door was knocked back. The knocker of the door was none other than one of the five men who had the order to prepare the sacrifice. Then, after getting word that his request had been fulfilled, Neo Khufu stepped down from the throne, walking out of the throne room.
“Bring the sacrifice to Mount Tefnut,” Neo Khufu said. “Tonight, you will see my greatness!”
“According to your command, Dewaku,” replied the news anchor, walking behind Neo Khufu.
Neo Khufu was on a luxurious sand train pulled by two tigers to Mount Tefnut in the Judgment Territory of Tefnut. This sand carriage is basically the same as a horse carriage, the difference lies only in the towing which is not a horse but a tiger.
The sand carriage walked on the crowded streets escorted by several soldiers riding tigers. People who saw the sand train immediately prostrated until finally the vehicle has passed completely.
Originally Neo Khufu did nothing inside the sand carriage. He just quietly let the sand car run properly, until finally the vehicle stopped moving.
“How dare you be so insolent to the Great God!” A bodyguard then darted forward, right towards the girl who was yelling curses at Neo Khufu.
“You all fucking!” The girl was not afraid in the least. “Restore my brother!”
The guard unhesitatingly swung his sword at the girl. Suddenly, a man hugged the girl who pelted the Neo Khufu sand carriage with a stone. Not just the man, but there was also a woman with him.
“Please, My God!” the man and woman said at the same time. The two of them were obviously afraid, but for the sake of protecting their beloved daughter, anything would be done even if it was very risky.
The bodyguard looked unconcerned, still raising his sword, saying, “You guys are so uncivilized!”
“Stop!” neo Khufu said, exiting the sand carriage, making the bodyguard immediately stop his intentions.
“As per your order, Dewaku.” The bodyguard sheathed back his sword, not one bit daring to question Neo Khufu's orders.
Meanwhile, many people who were now prostrating, resisted the urge to see what was happening. Their heads were all bowed to the ground, not having the guts to even look at the situation.
Neo Khufu then walked over. He said nothing until he stood a few steps ahead of the little family.
“Please your generosity and forgiveness, Dewaku ..” said the man who tightly hugged his daughter who can now say nothing more.
For a moment Neo Khufu glanced around while muttering, “That's all my decision.” After observing for a few moments, he then exclaimed, “Step your body and look here!”
“According to your orders, Dewaku,” answer them all.
Even with a trembling body and a troubled heart, everyone who had been prostrating immediately stood up. They obeyed the order by glancing towards Neo Khufu and the small family earlier.
“There is nothing you need to fear if you submit to me.” Neo Khufu put on a flat face according to the sound that came out of his mouth. “But there are some of you against me.”
“Please forgive me, Dewaku,” everyone replied in unison, including the small family in front of Neo Khufu.
“Make this a lesson.” Neo Khufu flicked his finger, then a huge fire immediately burned the big family earlier without the slightest remnant.
“Argh!!”
“According to your command, Dewaku,” everyone once again replied even though their whole body was trembling after seeing what Neo Khufu had done.
Neo Khufu did not show the slightest mercy to those who opposed him. He does not care who it is, if they oppose him, he will destroy them.
Then, as if nothing had happened, Neo Khufu went back inside the sand carriage. He did not want to care about the people out there who were staring stiffly without being able to say anything.
“Street,” says Neo Khufu.
“As per your order, Dewaku.” The sand carriage driver started the journey again.
After the unexpected incident earlier, the sand carriage walked down the long street. However, different from before, people no longer prostrate, but stared blankly ahead with trembling bodies. That was because Neo Khufu managed to instill fear in the hearts of these people.
