Unstoppable Antihero
Chapter 7: The Journey

The moon shines brightly in the darkness of the night. In the middle of a series of empty houses made of brick, a horse carriage drawn by two horses stopped to rest.

A man with a short sword on his back, out of the horse carriage, followed by a few others, one of them was Atlas. Shortly after, another horse carriage came and stopped at the same spot, dropping off the passengers to rest for a while.

Atlas and Kaysen were a little away from the other passengers, not wanting to get too mixed up with them. When Atlas looks calm while looking around, Kaysen is the opposite. Kaysen looked back several times, right at the passenger of the horse-drawn carriage that was now making a small bonfire.

“Mr Black,” said a fat man in red clothes, “tnight we are absolutely safe, right?”

The man in all black clothes and the short sword on his back turned his head. “Do you not know how great I am, Fatty?!”

“I'm sorry, Mr. Black.” The fat man immediately moved away, getting into the horse carriage.

On the other hand, Kaysen stopped watching the passengers of the horse carriage, then glanced at Atlas. “The guy named Black is so cocky!”

“What do you care?” Atlas seemed uninterested. Suddenly his eyes were turned over to a house. He saw the figure of a woman with long hair sitting looking at the moon.

“You are right,” said Kaysen, but Atlas did not notice it, but rubbed his eyes for a moment.

“Where did the woman go?” Atlas glared around. However, after rubbing his eyes, he did not find any more women with long hair.

Kaysen then looked in the direction Atlas was looking. “Did you see something, Atlas?”

Atlas shook his head. “I think I'm just a little tired.”

“Ah, is that it?”

The silence lasted for a few seconds. Until finally, Kaysen remembered something.

“Omong-by, Atlas. I think I have something you can care about,” Kaysen said.

As if not to know, immediately Atlas sat in just any place. “I probably still won't care.”

Ignoring Atlas' answer, Kaysen sat next to Atlas. “This is the first time after the last three months, there is a trip from Erato Satir to Erato Stix done at night. Usually only done during the day. Especially passing this route.”

“Is there something going on here?”

“This can be said to be a rumor, but it can also be said to be a real event. When entering Erato Stix through this empty settlement, many chariots are lost.”

“Isn't that just a myth?” For a moment Atlas glanced back. “In addition, the fat man who had a lot of money seemed to have hired a lot of bodyguards for him and his family. I think everything's in the calculation. Plus, there's a maniac fighting like you who wants to come with them.”

“You how else?” Kaysen stared blankly ahead. “Only it's the only horse carriage that can take us to Erato Stix at night like this.”

“I don't want to comment.” Atlas again glanced over the empty house where the long-haired woman had been sitting.

Shortly after, Atlas and Kaysen stood up. Their premonitions both felt bad, but had no idea what it was. Whereas on the other hand, the burly man named Black and the other bodyguards looked calm, not feeling anything.

Atlas and Kaysen immediately drew closer to the horse carriage while glaring around. They both looked very alert, standing right next to the carriage in which was a fat man with their wife and two daughters.

Not saying anything, Atlas observed the eight-man bodyguards, consisting of two women and six men—excluding Atlas and Kaysen. Atlas doesn't know how powerful they are, but he believes they can protect fat men and their families.

Glancing at Atlas for a moment, then looking around again, Kaysen replied, “Yes, I'm sure of that. Are you getting interested?”

“Is there any attempt to investigate this case?”

“That time Erato Satir and Erato Stix had done an investigation, but found nothing. However, the case of the disappearance of the horse-drawn carriage still goes.” Kaysen was silent for a moment, thinking. “Kurasa until now there is still an investigation effort, but disturbed by the war against the Fire Kingdom.”

A moment after Kaysen finished his sentence, the small bonfire surrounded by Black and the others immediately extinguished. The mercenaries immediately stood up, watching around vigilantly.

“What happened?” Fat man peeking out.

“Only cheap tricks,” Black replied, taking out the short sword on his back. “Shut up there! Don't move!”

“A—” Suddenly one of the female bodyguards disappeared.

Atlas glanced around, then whispered to Kaysen, “Do not do anything.”

Kaysen was about to refuse, but then agreed, “Alright. I believe in you, The Libra.”

“Ya.”

It's nothing more than a children's toy, Atlas thought. He is very understanding of the situation, so he can make plans calmly.

“Protect horse carriage!” black said, giving instructions to the other guards.

“Ba—” One more, a female bodyguard just disappeared in the middle of a row of houses without residents.

“Do not panic!” exclaim Black, look around. “They only dare on women!”

Unfortunately, a moment after Black said that, the two male bodyguards disappeared at the same time. Black, who could not stand it anymore, immediately slashed his sword forward, making a semicircular wind attack.

“Come out!” Black exclaimed, being ever more vigilant.

On the other hand, Kaysen made sure again, “You sure you will let it?”

Atlas did not want to glance at Kaysen in the slightest, but was silent about what happened, but acted like he did not know anything. “Just do as I say.”

“Good ...”

Suddenly Black shot forward when he saw a spider web of wind was about to trap him. Without a doubt the young man flowed Fanes into the right hand.

“This time you won't let go!” Black darted swinging his short sword diagonally forward, towards the black-robed person. However, the black-robed person suddenly disappeared, so Black's attack was unsuccessful in hitting the target.

At the same time, the horse carriage in which was a fat man, disappeared just like that. Atlas and Kaysen glanced to and fro, but then they were both wrapped around an invisible rope. The rope lifts them up, then into one of the empty houses.

Atlas lets himself be bound, taken somewhere by something unknown. He could not see anything, but all this made him smile faintly, feeling that his plan had succeeded without hindrance.
