What a Beautiful Divorce
6. Three Elders

Prapto and Nimo looked at each other. They asked each other in their hearts, 'Amazon? Brazil?' They looked at everyone on the terrace.

Stepen laughing. "You must have understood what we mean, Prapto, Nimo. Among all of us, only you are unmarried."

"As for your crops and livestock, you don't need to worry, I'll ask the men of the Kejora village to take care of it while you're gone" Mr. Oscar said. He then sucks his shell.

Mr. Reynaldi Green laughed. "What else do you think? You don't have to pay a fee, we'll bear it. Right, right, Mr gumiro, Mr Hann?" tanyanya, looking at Mr. Gumiro and Mr. Handoko who nodded with a smile.

"The Kejora Village will also contribute, Mr. Reynald," Mr. Oscar said. "Since long ago, after the harvest, all the heads of the family always donated money for village development. So, it's time for their donations to be used."

Mr. Gumiro, Mr. Reynaldi Hijau, and also Mr. Handoko turned to Mr. Oscar. They looked shocked at the words of the village chief just now.

"This village seems not only beautiful and peaceful, but also very advanced way of thinking of its citizens," said Mr. Reynaldi Hijau. "I thought about how the village of Kejora stood and who the founder was. He must be a very wise man."

Mr. Oscar nodded. "He was a very wise man, Mr. Reynaldi. He was both the same age as my late grandfather who was also one of the founders of Kejora village."

Everyone on the terrace stared at Mr. Oscar, waiting for the Kejora village chief to continue his story. Mr. Oscar stared at the overcast sky, then sucked his horn deeply. His eyes seemed to sparkle with longing and he then told a story.

There were three elders who established the village of Kejora. They came from somewhere in Endonesa. In their place of origin, the inhabitants make their living by farming and breeding naturally, just like here.

At the time, many areas became cities. Trees cut down. And after the city was established, the rivers became dirty because of industrial waste and garbage thrown away by most people. As a result, disasters began to emerge. Mother Earth is angry.

The elders in that place then gave their blessing to the three founders of this Kejora village to bring the noble values of that place to a new place that was still empty. So these three elders went looking for an area that was not yet inhabited. They left with only food supplies, wood cutting weapons, and tools to build a house.

Every tree they cut down and used for the purpose of building a house, they updated it by planting three new tree seeds that are still in the forest near the Kejora village river. They set up villages by not destroying natural ecosystems. Because if the ecosystem is damaged, natural disasters will come.

Long story short, the elders found their love in nearby villages and towns and got married. And over time, the people who visit this Kejora village are then interested and want to settle down. They lived in the village of Kejora on the condition that they had to agree to the rules that the three elders brought from their place of origin.

"The noble values and mindset that continues to be maintained by the village Kejora until now." Mr. Oscar closed his explanation and sipped coffee.

Everyone who heard Mr. Oscar's story was nodding, including Nimo and Stepen, who had either heard the story but still sounded interesting to them.

Prapto lit his cigarette. He stared at Mr. Oscar, Stepen, and the three other fathers. "Sir, to Brazil so?"

They laugh. Then Mr. Gumiro said, "Of course so, Nak Prapto. Mr. Oscar's story was so interesting that we ruled out Brazil and its terra petra for a few minutes."

"Mas Stepen," call Prapto. "Is the source of the terra petra located in the Amazon jungle or on the edge of the forest? Horrified to imagine if we had to go into the Amazon forest."

Stepen grinning. His grimness made both Nimo and Prapto cringe.

“Wait, Mas Stepen! In the forest there are anacondas, piranhas and other wild animals, while we want to get married in a few months" said Nimo, who was nodding by Prapto.

Prapto and Nimo looked at each other again. Mr. Oscar laughed. "Why are you so scared? The forest and all the animals and plants that are in it will not hurt you as long as you respect them and treat them with respect. After all, you guys ‘kan will be guided by a man who knows about the Amazon forest."

Mr. Reynaldi Green raised his hand which was holding a cigarette. "Well, I have a friend who lives in Brazil, who often visits the Amazon because of his work related to the flora and fauna in the forest. I'll call her later, and if she can, she'll have to pick you up at the airport."

"Wait what else?" ask Mr. Handoko excited. "Let's talk about when these two great men will leave! You should be proud, because you're going to the Amazon jungle for the sake of a healthy farm and farm for the people who are going to buy our business. People today are dying fast, one of the biggest culprits is because the food and drinks they consume are unhealthy."

Mr. Reynaldi Green held up his phone. "My friend replied to a message. He said he could help Prapto and Nimo at any time as long as it was still within this month. I also asked for a plane ticket. You can leave tomorrow."

Prapto and Nimo looked at each other again. The two of them then both nodded, as if they had spoken through each other's minds. Prapto said, "Then, Nimo and I will go home first, gentlemen, Mas Stepen. Nimo's gonna get permission to her parents and I'm gonna call home."

Stepen raised his thumb. “Don't forget to say goodbye to your future wife too, and ..” Stepen was silent for a moment, then grinned, "Seek their prayers."

"We're not afraid!" replied Prapo and Nimo simultaneously. They all laughed.

So the next day, on the last day in October, Prapto and Nimo were escorted to the airport by Mr. Oscar, Mr. Reynaldi, and Mr. Gumiro. Stepen did not come because today he will harvest fruits. Meanwhile, Mr. Handoko, the businessman of the luxury restaurant had to go to the tourist park because he had promised to accompany his grandson.

"I've never been on a plane, Boss," Nimo told Prapto, as they sat in the airport lounge.

"You scared?" ask Prapto.

"Slightly, Boss. We will fly high. I'm afraid of falling."

Prapto mimicked Stepen's grin. "Have you asked for a prayer, right?"

"Ah, you are the same as Mas Stepen, Boss," Nimo said. Suddenly his face frowned at Prpato. "Boss, you've never been on a plane?"

Prapto. "It's been about eight times, Nimo. Why?"

"That's no writing no smoking in the waiting room." Nimo pointed to the no-smoking inscription on the wall to the left of where they were sitting.

Prapto put his cigarette and lighter back in a shirt bag. "That's what I don't like about getting on a Nimo plane" he said, laughing.

Prapto then stood up and lifted his suitcase. "Come, Nimo! The plane is leaving."

Nimo nodded, then got up with a slight feeling of fear.
