Chapter 47: Two Against Four

Anna Sahilatua, Dwi Septianto, Aldy Heraldy, and Teuku Damanik drove together to defeat the Second Elder, Zui the Purple Dragon in this Pasai Land. With the help of heirloom weapons and sword summoning magic, they darted to take down the flying creature.

The two heads of the dragon seemed to take a deep breath. It seemed like he was about to attack with a blast of magic fire from his mouth, and sure enough. The dragon shot out a quick blast of fire magic like a meteor towards the four of them. Anna who saw him instantly took a forward position and protected them with her special magic.

“Salawaku”

The fire magic from the dragon precisely struck the shield and produced a considerable explosion. But because ‘Salawaku’ is a super strong shield magic, it does not have any impact on him.

Right from behind the puff of smoke created, Aldy and Dwi unsheathed each of his swords at the boundary between the inner skin and the dragon armor, just like what Damanik had said before. And sure enough, the attack managed to make his purple-colored armor start to detach from the main body.

Slowly but surely, his body had now completely disappeared, leaving only the dark purple-colored armor. Thus, the Second Elder Zui Si was defeated.

“Thank you for helping us, Mr. Damanik,” Aldy said.

“Tak need to thank, it is indeed our duty to guard this Pasai Land from the bullies,”

“Oh yes, Mr. Damanik. If I may know, how can you know about the whereabouts of the Elders? Though it is a secret from the guards of the sacred library?”

Dwi asked Damanik that question. Hearing the question, Aldy next to him smiled. It seems like he already knew about what happened here.

“Secure Library Guard Seulawah who told us. And he also gave information about your whereabouts, the students of Jailolo school who are destined to defeat the Demon King Azazel,”

Hearing this, Dwi immediately remembered the village head they had met before. Connection with the sacred library can not only be had between family members, but with others who have a special agreement with the guard. Apparently this was also true for the Conferred Knights, although the three of them had no idea who could actually access the secret library.

Seeing that everything was safe, Teuku Damanik put his Rencong back into the sheath and turned around to leave them.

The man looked straight at Anna. His face looks a little bit flat. It seemed like there was something he wanted to ask of her.

“Mr Damanik, you are very strong. You can instantly know the monster's weakness and defeat it. If I may ask, please come with us. Your extraordinary abilities will save this entire Tierra Hyuma,”

Anna begged the knight to come with them, after seeing Damanik's extraordinary abilities. But unfortunately the user Rencong was not able to support it.

“Sorry, Anna. I can only carry out my duties here, protecting this Pasai Land from the bullies, nothing more. I have no right to join you in saving the planet. That's your absolute duty,”

Hearing her rejection, Anna's reaction changed. The girl really expected a lot from the Conferred Knight, but what she expected was not to her liking.  A feeling of indecision enveloped him, especially after what had happened to the girl before.

“But, you are really strong, Sir. While I, fighting even one elder was incapable. I almost die if there is no help from my friends. I don't know if I can beat Azazel or not,

to save the world, am I capable? I was just a weak child...I.”.

The girl's eyes began to tear. He felt that he was just a weak man. Anxiety, that's what Parachi had in mind. Defeating the Elder, Azazel, saving Tierra Hyuma, returning to the real world, all of those things made him completely depressed. Anna realized that she was just a weak girl.

But it was different from what Damanik thought. Seeing Anna who had lost her spirit, she immediately smiled and said to him, something that made the girl and her two friends better.

“It's your destiny to save the world. Don't worry much, I'm sure you can do it. It is written in the ancient record that you are the one who will save Tierra Hyuma from great danger. You have enough power to defeat them. Anyway.”.

Damanik turned back and walked away from them.

“...if I had faced Zui alone earlier, maybe I wouldn't have survived. It was you who saved me and defeated him. Well, hopefully we can meet again at a later time, when the world is safe again,”

His body suddenly turned into flower petals that were blown by the wind. One of her petals landed on Anna's palm. Teuku Damanik has left them. Now they are left alone, three students of Jailolo National Magic Academy who have been destined to save Tierra Hyuma.

“Alright, we have to fight,” Anna said in her heart.

They returned to the Kite and flew away from Tanah Pasai to the location of the next Elder's appearance, Cikeruh Padjadjaran.
