Xiao Heiven: New Genesis
Ch. 14 — Dark Witch Power Source.

The Green Peacock Royal Palace is located not far from the city gate. It is approximately only about fifty kilometers and is located in the center of the city.

The predecessors had deliberately built the Green Peacock Royal Palace in the middle of the King's city to make it easier to supervise.

They hoped that the King who led the Kingdom at that time would be faster to know all the things that happened in his territory. Including if one day there is a region that suddenly intends to revolt.

After getting off the horse carriage, Lin Yao was in a tight escort directly going to the main hall of this Kingdom to meet King Xiao Bao, who was in a tight escort, the current ruler of the Green Peacock Kingdom and also Lin Yao's biological father.

While Heiven, he was in the royal living room which was in the garden of the front yard of the palace. Lin Yao of course had a special reason why not directly bring Heiven to see his father and ask him to wait for a while in this place.

Fortunately the palace garden is very beautiful, so Heiven did not feel bored at all even though he was in this place for about thirty minutes. In addition, in this park there are also some rare plants that can only be found in certain places.

“I did not expect if Earth ever had a place as beautiful as this in the past,” Heiven chirped while staring at various kinds of very beautiful flowers in front of his eyes.

He recalled the situation of the Earth in the future which is filled with air pollution due to the lack of green open space. Massive development to meet the needs of the growing human population over time led to many forests being converted into densely populated settlements.

After being satisfied to look around every part of this park, Heiven finally remembered something. He immediately pulled out a map given by the goddess Nuwa and looked for the whereabouts of the dark witches.

But they only show the names of all the Islands or Continents there is Earth today. There was absolutely no specific sign of the existence of the dark witches.

With a slightly disappointed feeling, Heiven again stored the map into his storage ring. He then took out his heirloom spear because he wanted to dig up information from Yu Hao. As a former Witch King, Yu Hao definitely knew something about the dark witches.

“Quick set me free!! I can still guarantee your life if you release me now,” Yu Hao threatened as soon as he found out there was no one other than the two of them in this place.

“You are now not in a position that could arbitrarily threaten me. So, just save your energy for something more important,” Heiven replied mockingly.

“I want to ask you something. If you can answer my question well, then I can consider your freedom,” Heiven continued making a very tempting offer.

“Really?” Yu Hao looked interested in Heiven's offer. “Then quickly ask what you want to know.”

“Where is the headquarters of the dark magicians?” heiven.

“I don't know. In the past, I was indeed the King of the dark witches. But, ever since I was locked inside this heirloom spear by the God of Time thousands of years ago, I have lost contact with all of them. They should have had a new King as my successor.” Yu Hao replied firmly to show that he was not lying.

Heiven was able to receive an answer from Yu Hao therefore he changed his question. “Where did those dark witches get their powers from?”

“When a dark magician is able to push the abilities of all the senses he possesses to the limits of mortal beings, then he will acquire a very extraordinary power. That power is known as the Soul Devil because it comes from the dark magic taught by the Devil,” replied Yu Hao.

“Any dark magician who has obtained the Soul Devil inside his body, then he can borrow the power of darkness from the Underworld to use high-level magic spells,” explains Yu Hao.

Heiven's face instantly turned serious. He thought hard to understand all of Yu Hao's explanations of the Soul Devil. If what Yu Hao said was true then he would have to find a way to destroy that Soul Devil.

However, Heiven seemed to have also realized about something. “Such power will definitely not be obtained for free. Looks like there's still something lacking in your explanation.”

Yu Hao nodded in agreement. There is nothing free in this world. Then he went back to explaining. “The Dark Witch must let her mind be changed like a demon. Therefore, any magician who has had a Soul Devil in his body will definitely turn into a very evil and cruel person.”

Instead of feeling scared, Heiven became even more excited after hearing Yu Hao's explanation of the Soul Devil. He wanted to meet the dark witches soon and duel with them.

After being satisfied to ask the Yu Hao, Heiven stored back his immortal spear into the storage ring. Of course, Yu Hao rebelled but Heiven ignored all the swearing that came out of Yu Hao's mouth.

He then began to meditate and absorb all the natural energy around this place and turned it into Qi.

Heiven intended to strengthen his abilities as a cultivator because he felt that the strength of a magician could only be defeated by a cultivator.

King's Chamber.

King Xiao Bao's room was filled with very beautiful ornaments and various heirlooms.

All the heirlooms in this room are of course very good quality because most of these heirlooms are gifts from Goddess Nuwa.

In one corner of the room there is a closed room with a very pure intensity of natural energy. This place is the only best place in the Green Peacock Kingdom and is perfect for meditation.

During this time other than King Xiao Bao who was a King as well as an Emperor level mage, only Lin Yao was allowed to use this room. Because, Lin Yao was the sole heir to the throne of this Kingdom.

Right now, Lin Yao was already standing quietly in front of the room door. He did not knock on the door or make a sound because he felt a strong energy fluctuation from his father's room.

Normally, the door of this room would open by itself when Lin Yao wanted to visit, unless King Xiao Bao was drowning his consciousness in meditation during the practice.

“Until when will Dad continue to meditate?” murmured Lin Yao softly as he looked at the door of the room that was unfolding. He had important news that he wanted to convey immediately. However, Lin Yao did not dare to disturb his father's meditation.

Lin Yao chose to leave this room and went to the garden to meet Heiven.
