Xiao Heiven: New Genesis
Ch. 18 — Time, Destiny and Karma.

A gigantic hand made of lightning suddenly emerged from within the main palace of Green Peacock Kingdom and instantly snatched the heirloom spear that was in Heiven's hands.

The figure of Heiven who was inside the time mirror immediately rushed after the figure of the giant hand to see who was really the mastermind behind all the chaos that occurred in this Kingdom.

However, the owner figure of the gigantic hand had disappeared without a trace and had only left behind a gigantic array above the ground level.

On top of that magic array was an Earth Spirit that had lost all of its energy and was in its present state. It seemed that this gigantic array borrowed the power of the Earth Spirit to activate the power of space and time laws.

That gigantic array was actually a magic array to open a portal of space and time. By using the portal, one can go freely to the past or the future.

After relating every event brought forth by the mirror of time, Heiven finally realizes that the mastermind behind this chaos uses the power of space and time to go into the future and bring his mother into this age.

Perhaps the criminal also used his mother as a hostage to mess with his mind and weaken the power he had.

That means that the mastermind of all this chaos has actually long been inside the Green Peacock Kingdom and is doing a very good disguise so as to hide from the view of the Green Peafowl Kingdom King who is also a high-level witch. Because, only in that way can the criminal get all the information about himself so accurately.

Heiven again uses the power of time laws in the time mirror to see future events. He was eager to find out who the real figure behind this mess was and disguised as what he was as long as he was inside the Green Peacock Kingdom.

However, fate did not seem to be on Heiven's side for now.

The time mirror suddenly cracks and shatters to pieces as Heiven tries to see the events in the future where his mother is at the moment.

He tried hard to make a mirror the other time, but the results were in vain.

All of the time magic spells he used were unable to connect with each other and would instantly burst back into energy fluctuations. He seemed to have forgotten how to make a time mirror.

“That's enough! You don't have to try to make a time mirror anymore.” Yu Hao who felt sorry for the end reprimanded Heiven.

Heiven immediately stared intently at Yu Hao and replied with emotion. “Why? Why are you banning me! Do you want to see who is behind all this destruction?”

“Time is the secret of destiny. Within the law of time lies the law of karma that all living beings must pass through while living their destiny. Therefore, fate must have its own reasons why it does not allow you to see the future,” replied Yu Hao explaining about the relationship between time, destiny and karma.

Heiven re-read the incantation and performed the same magic movements as when he made the time mirror. And, his efforts this time still did not bear fruit. He eventually stopped making time mirrors.

“Destiny never sides with evil. Maybe fate wants to protect your safety until you are strong enough to fight your enemy,” Yu Hao replied.

“What do you mean?” Heiven threw his gaze towards Yu Hao. He seemed to be waiting for an answer that could satisfy his mind.

“Try you remember well. Yourselves who were addressed by the time mirror did not yet have enough power to fight against the mastermind behind the destruction of the Green Peacock Kingdom and ended up having to die hung in front of the palace gate. Not only you, but everyone within the Green Peacock Kingdom is unable to deal with it.”

Yu Hao's words were like lightning strikes that reminded Heiven of his greatest weakness: strength. As a magician or a cultivator the strength he possessed was indeed very low.

The strength he had right now was indeed nothing more than an ant. Moreover, the strength of her that was inside the mirror back then could clearly be compared to the strength of a high-level mage, obviously, but he who is in the mirror of time still can not defeat the enemy figure. Then what happens if he currently meets that figure and fights each other?

Yu Hao watched Heiven who was beginning to sink into his words. “If you find out who the figure compared to the destruction of the Green Peacock Kingdom, then you will definitely do various ways to approach it and dismantle its disguise in public. And, it will only accelerate the destruction of the Green Peacock Kingdom and also your death.”

“Do you not see that the one being targeted by the villain is actually the heirloom spear of the God of Time legacy that you have. And, with the power of time possessed by the heirloom spear 'that he can freely go anywhere,” continued Yu Hao when he learned that his words began to affect the way Heiven thought.

Heiven of course still remembered very clearly all the events shown by the time mirror. He also confirmed that everything Yu Hao said was indeed true.

If he knew who was the mastermind behind the destruction, then he must have done all the reckless actions that Yu Hao had said.

“Then I must become stronger and have power over the Green Peacock Kingdom King and all the high-level mages that are within this Kingdom before I return to look for that intruder.” Heiven finally regained his composure. He was determined to be stronger than anyone in the Kingdom.

“Not just that. But you absolutely must not show the power of time you have in public. Especially this heirloom spear before you had enough strength to protect yourself.” Yu Hao again gave a warning.

“I understand!” Heiven nodded in agreement. He himself had clearly seen that the power possessed by the heirloom spear was indeed the true cause of the destruction.

If only he could defend the heirloom spear, then the enemy would not be able to go into the future and take his mother into the past as a hostage.

Heiven finally returned to meditate in this small palace while waiting for the morning because he could not sleep after seeing all the events shown by the time mirror.
