🚩Jacob PoV

The cabin lights slowly lit up. I stretched my body, feeling the joints bend slowly.

Soft sound coming from the speaker. The flight attendant announced that the plane would be landing soon.

I glanced at the digital clock on my wrist. 12. 32 PM'S.

While waiting for the luggage to come down, I picked up the phone from inside the sling bag. The notification of the incoming message reads, when I activate the internet connection. The message was from Aleia.

| Did it go down?

I laughed softly, looking at the creative spam message from the sweet girl. For a moment, he asked me if I was waiting for my suitcase to come down?

...đź’¬...

^^^| Nungguin yes?^^^

| Kok know anyway!

I expected it. It made me remember what Eyang said two days ago, when we had a video call.

...📹...

“Do you not want to have a doctor's wife?”

“Not a case of unwillingness, just a matter of time.”

Eyang laughed softly, “that's the sacrifice you have to make for a relationship. Aleia's a good girl. She is also a caring girl. So...”

“Eyang,” cut me with a small smile. “Now I will go home first. Okay. Later problems Aleia, whatever wife it is..”.

“Iya,” by Eyang. “You've been 27 years! You have to think about yourself. Also build family.”

...📹...

Build families? A family that can only last for seven years? Like what did you teach your son?

Why demand that I have a family? It's not that I want to blame Eyang, because honestly I'm still afraid of separation. Parents can move on, looking for a new partner. While child? Can a child look for another parent who is whole?

Will their love be the same?

I felt a slow blow on my calf. The reflex made me look to the side.

My annoyance seemed to disappear just like that, seeing the old man in a porter's vest busy scouring every red suitcase. My shoulder-height father released a trolley that was filled with large brown cardboard.

Twenty minutes later, I looked for a beautiful figure who was waiting for me.

Aleia smiled sweetly. Those big eyes grew wider. His face is heart shape. Her tiny lips covered a dimpled smile.

Last time we met, Aleia had shoulder-length short hair. Now, that wavy soft strand was seen touching her hips. Midi dress is peach-colored, giving a bright impression on the white skin.

I spread out my arms, hugging Aleia into my arms. The body feels tiny. And scented. The floral scent was so fresh.

“Oh my God! Long time no see!” says slowly.

I laugh softly, “new also three months?”

Early March, Aleia and her sister were on vacation. Whether he was intentional, or purely coincidental, he took the time to meet me in the apartment lobby. Bring cake and birthday gifts.

I remember that shy look. As Aleia thrust out a square box containing a watch.

“See this,” I raised my wrist.

Aleia gasped in surprise. He closed his mouth with both hands. Hiding a broken smile.

“Like not?” ask her with sparkling eyes. I saw the hue of her cheeks slightly flushed.

“Hmmm, what do you like?” ask me with a little laugh at the end of the sentence.

“Ish...” frowning Aleia while pursing her lips.

“Udah eat yet?”

Aleia shook her head quickly, “not yet. Waiting for you to eat!”

...***...

Jet lag has kept me asleep for seven hours!

After having lunch at a restaurant serving seafood, Aleia drove me home.

Notifications on my phone are already flooded with discourse. I don't know who said my return to Indonesia, which obviously my friends invite to meet face to face.

Six chat groups, with my name in-mention on each message. My finger scrolls the message down. So many private messages from my other friends.

Well, the average woman.

There was only one group message that I would never ignore.

I laughed and read my friends' messages. My finger started typing, replying to the message from the Eagle.

An hour later, I was riding a motorcycle to the city center. Many memories passed through my head. But one name again disturbs the soul and body.

I exhaled deeply. Trying to erase the memory of that sweet smile on my mind.

Of my many ex-lovers, only that one managed to make meaningful memories. She's a fun girl. It was so easy to laugh at the flat jokes I used to throw around. A lovely girl with vintage heart.

We were dating for only two months. And I regret that.

Sorry for disappointing me. If Winona put my name on Big Mistake's list…

I won't blame the girl.

Nine o'clock in the night, I was in the parking lot. Malls can always attract a sea of people on weekends.

I headed straight to the coffee shop on the right side.

The smell of coffee filled my smell. Small talk sounded boisterous all around. A small smile was drawn at the corner of my lips, as I saw a fifty-centimeter-wide Picasso painting adorning the opposite wall.

The painting is a copy, of course.

Eagle's hand waved in the air. Smile on his face. On the left side of the man, I saw Kinanti widen her eyes. The blonde girl slightly lowered her face.

I saw Kim picking up the phone, pointing the camera at me.

“Not expecting ayang Jek to be invited to meet guys!!” kim is hysterical. He raised his glasses. In the middle of the recording, Kim glanced at me and his phone back and forth.

Heru laughed, he pulled the chair next to him. “Sit first dong bro!” said the man in the coat.

“More old lo!” I said with a small ruckus.

The laughter of my friends is heard. “Different views if you have become a fatherck-bapack,” comments Kim. “Where is my chocolate?” Kim held out his hand.

I opened the bag, then took a package as big as my thumb. “Nih one-one meal.”

Kim frowned, looked at the brown and my face alternated. “Pelit is a real person! I don't want chocolate candy! It wants..”.

“This is me aja.” Heru took the chocolate from Kim's hand.

While they were excited, I raised my hand, wanting to order a drink.

I glanced briefly, at the menu on the board located on the wall of the order table.

“Tau nih... yes time expectations are always destroyed by reality.” Kim pulled my bag, “no one else you hidein!”

Kinanti pushed Kim's hand off, “lu play pull-pull. Someone's angry to see you near by ama Jacob.”

“Who?” kim asked, sounding annoyed.

“Ya Kinan lah!” Heru laughed amusedly after saying that answer.

Kinan grumbled slowly. “Apaan anyway! Not me..” Kinan raised his chin, pointing towards my left.

My breath was restrained as I looked back at those eyes.

The world stopped turning. Just leaving my heart beating slowly. It was as if every beat, became a countdown to break my eye contact with Winona. “

From the corner of my eye, I saw him standing.

“Bent aye!” I said while standing.

“Si Jek sparrow still belom move on!” heru exclaimed with a sneering laugh.

I don't care about any of my friends. My focus is on one subject.

And the woman has now accelerated her steps to the exit.

“Winona!” call quickly.

Saying that name out loud gives a different impression. And I know, there's still a little taste that lives in the chest.
