🌻 Winona
Aleia glanced at the clock on her wrist. Matcha latte glass is still half left. There was no response after the discussion of Sepia. Although I was curious, as to Sepia's current condition, I had to refrain from reopening the subject.
I've been friends with him since Junior High. When we were in High School, we were different. But the closeness of my friendship with Sepia was established when we entered the same department while in college. We are getting closer, as we follow student organizations.
The Sepia family is not harmonious. His mother went missing without news after becoming a TKW. Sepia's father worked as a porter in the market, his salary was just a mediocrity to live. Fortunately, when Sepia was in college, her brother got a job as an ASN employee. It was from his brother that Sepia got extra pocket money.
A phone call took away my imagination about Sepia. My eyes opened wide when I saw Jacob's name on the screen. At a glance, I glanced at Aleia who was staring at me and the phone on the table.
I sighed softly, locking my phone screen again. “Gue does not want to be a barrier to other people's relationships,” I said. Returning back to Aleia's astonished gaze, the girl clenched her hand against the glass filled with green liquid. “Jacob wants to meet me. According to lo, why..”.
“Lo say what the hell,” sela Aleia. “Until Jacob fails to move on from lo?” the tone in the voice was cold. So did the look on Aleia's face that looked flat.
I grieved softly, irritated by the question that came from those sweet lips. The question seemed to accuse me of doing nothing with Jacob. “Lo think I'm a girl what? Huh!” pissed me. “Gue says nothing!” imbuhku.
Suddenly, I thought of a brilliant idea. “If you are curious, ask directly the same person!” I took the phone, pressed Jacob's contact, and immediately contacted the man.
“Halo Wio,” he said across there.
“Lo where?”
I heard her breathing, before Jacob raised his voice. “I'm in front of your kos.”
Last message from the man, saying he wants to go to my boarding house! Without waiting for my reply, Jacob had already directly gone there. “Gue is not in kos,” I said quickly. I glanced at Aleia who was looking at me with a frown. “Can we meet...”
“Can!” cut the guy fast. “You just send your location now.”
I hung up. Directly send the location of this cafe to Jacob.
A mocking laugh rang out, making me glance briefly at the figure before me. Taking the glass, I sipped it almost a third of the glass.
“Lo can ask directly Jacob. Because whatever comes out of my mouth, you think of it as my sheer boo!” I shook my head, sighing in disbelief. “Even a thoughtless thinking!” My face was re-heated by emotions I could not control.
Aleia took her bag. “Gue no time to create..”
“That's it,” cut me fast. “Lo can not spare weekend lo for Jac? Lo selfish, you know not.”
Aleia exhaled heavily, “lo did not understand my position! There is a goal I have to achieve. I just started my career. Let go of it just like that, after all these years I've been solidifying myself.. and in the end I'm released for a guy?”.
“Lo have made a choice!” pressku, “karir lo more main. If Jacob doesn't want to wait, then what? Lo make him, with the threat of withdrawal of investment from eyang lo?”
Aleia took a sharp breath. “From where you know,” flow. “Ean investment in his startup Jacob.”
“According to you, I know from where?” ask me to raise my eyebrows.
Aleia scratched the temple. Lips open. The confused look was clearly visible on those eyes. “What do you want to avoid? Because honestly, I'm tired of being wrong with kek gini!” I turned around for a moment, looking out at the street. The sky was bright, accompanied by small clouds.
I spent matcha in my glass.
Aleia turned, staring at the barista table. His forehead crept in. I know his mind is struggling with speculation. If I were in Aleia's position, maybe I would also be worried.
Wait, if Sepia visits Aleia, that means she takes the gynecologist profession!
“He wants to come here?” asked Aleia to break the silence.
I nodded quickly, answering that short question.
In the next few minutes, no conversation took place. We were both busy staring at the screens of our phones. Until finally, the expected figure entered my distance of view.
“That, Jacob has come.” My words made Aleia take a sharp breath, then slowly, looking back over her slender shoulders.
Jacob's originally wide smile as he looked at me, turned flat as the glances of his eyes were fixed on Aleia.
I forgot to give a message. Should I have told Jacob that Aleia was with me? The man looked surprised. His wide steps also seemed to swing slowly.
“There is Lea here,” Jacob said, as the man was already a meter away from our table.
Jacob pulled out a chair, placing it in the middle of a one-meter-long wooden table. He went back and forth to circulate the gaze from my face, onto Aleia's face. “Which are you guys?” the tone of voice was a little cold. There is no small smile. There, look Jacob's sharp eyes that look at me curious.
I cleared my throat slowly, before opening my voice.
“Say Jacob, you guys reciprocate,” Aleia said quickly. The girl in front of me looked at me and Jacob nervously. “So I just want to know, how can Winona meet lo. Just Jum’at then instead, lo back to Indonesia?” a stiff smile flashed on the corner of Aleia's lips.
The same smile was also created on Jacob's handsome face. “Ya can dong...” the face turned away, looking at me with a smile that was getting wider.
Our distance is pretty close. About thirty centimeters. My breath held for a moment, lulled with the visual treat that was in front of me.
Jacob looked back. His forehead frowned, “not to the hospital?”
Aleia nodded quickly. “Iya, this is going.” The girl stood up.
“Not him lo want...”
“Gue there is a draft report that must be completed immediately," said Aleia quickly, cutting my sentence. "So yes, I go first.” Aleia stepped away.
I can only breathe heavily! In the end, Aleia chose to shy away from this conversation!
“What do you say about Aleia?” begin Jacob.
I pulled my gaze from Aleia's back away, on the face beside me. “Why the hell, still say we reverse?” grunting's upset.
Jacob exhaled a sharp breath. Face subdued. “I want to turn with you,” he said without looking at me.
I let go of a stifled laugh, “you know, this is going to bring about a misunderstanding? Aleia's coming now. Next, maybe your mama.”
Jacob stared. For a long time he was silent. “I've met with Sepia.”
The sudden change of topic made me slightly tilt my head. “Sepia?”
Jacob nodded briefly, “he will be setting for the four of us dinner. So you can tell Gema to make it stop..” Jacob silent for a few seconds, “make disturb you.” The serious tone in the voice made my heart beat fast.
Because Jacob showed me how possessive he was!
