Phone From Jacob

🌻 Winona.

Ginara was still standing near my desk. That feeling, he followed me out. Next to his hand supported his body, the other side raised the phone to his ear. Wait a minute..isn't that my phone that Ginara is holding?

“Winona or her scuff?”

My steps were getting faster when I heard that sentence. I snatched the phone from Ginara's hand. The wavy short-haired girl looked over her shoulders. His eyes looked at me tensely. Lips open. “There's a call. Name..”

“Ngapain you play pick up my phone?!” cut me, sounding furious.

Ginara completely turned around, looking at me with a whimper on his face. He exhaled slowly. His face was slightly bent. “Gue thinks you're gone. That's why I..”

I grieve slowly, “stay only... don't play pick up people's phone carelessly!” I snatched the sling bag that was draped in the chair. Then stepped away, leaving Ginara still pouting.

“Sorry Win!” her cheering. I heard her footsteps a step behind me. “Lo don't get mad at me..” he said in a clear voice.

Ginara clasped my hand, making me stop my steps. I exhaled a heavy breath. I turned my face to look at the girl.

Ginara is a typical kepo girl who likes to interfere in people's affairs. Even so, his behavior is sometimes still like a labile ABG. But unfortunately, Ginara is one of the office friends who is quite close to me. Theothers? Besides Denada, everything is hypocritical!

Even some of them blatantly glanced at me with insulting highlight. My only fault is getting this job from my aunt. Is it wrong to have networking, when most of them also enter work relying on insiders? I worked hard here too!

“We eat yuk!” Ginara's smile widened, as he returned my resigned gaze. The eyes also rolled wide. “Eh, you are not the same Mas Handsome?” he said enthusiastically.

My forehead frowned deeply, “Mas Tam..” I bit the lower lip. Remember who the call was addressed to. I rolled my lazy eye. “He's gone,” I said as I stepped up. Ginara aligned his footsteps with me.

Just after I washed my face in the toilet, I peeked into the hallway. See if the echo has gone or not. Fortunately, that annoying guy wasn't waiting for me there.

I didn't think it out! Why can a man have a wife and worse, his wife is pregnant! Still teasing other women! Gema knows very well, Sepia and I are best friends. Why would he do something like this to Sepia?!

I used to be a naive girl. I think the nature of Echoes can change after she gets married. In fact, it's the same! He's consistently been a bastard. Even his words seemed inappropriate!

There's no way Gema loves me. The manifestation of love will always be right. And what Gema did and told me was the wrong thing!

“Lo know where same Mas Handsome?” ask Ginara. I stopped at Ginara's desk, waiting for him to pick up the bag. “What department? The cake is pretty high, right? I see the suit is classy.”

If I were Ginara, who had not known Gema before, I would also consider him an attractive established man. And of course, I'd fantasize about being his wife.

Unfortunately, I didn't get that good impression of him. Even if I can be honest, first….

If only my heart hadn't been broken by Jacob. I could have received the echo. Because if I remember, the beginning of my friendship with Gema is not bad. He's a sweet guy. Often waiting for me to come home from work. Sometimes we go to lunch together.

And the echo came at the wrong time. This heart is still broken. Because there's a little bit of hope left, I still hope Jacob comes back. The man will come back and give an explanation.

Recalling Ginara's question, I glanced at the girl from the corner of the eye. “He is rich. CEO Fahrenheit Beach Club.” I pressed the elevator button, looking up at the red number that was rising slowly.

“What?!” cheer Ginara. “Lo serious?” his eyes were wide when he said that sentence.

I nodded, “yep.”

I heard her deep breaths as the elevator doors opened. “He's still single?” ask Ginara. “Or duda?” continued.

I grimaced at the question. “She's widower..” I took a sharp breath. Then glanced at Ginara from the reflection of the elevator wall. “Former widows are more precise,” I added quickly.

Ginara grunting. “Yah... lose fast me!” The girl's forehead frowned deeply. He looked up, looking at me in confusion. “Trus why is he here? Pake cariin lo everything?” those wide eyes were squinted. A faint smile was drawn at the corner of his lips. “Lo don't-don't..”

I flick my hands in front of my face, “what the heck lo! I...” I'm speechless. If I think about it, talking about this topic with Ginara is not a good idea. He will make this sad romance story as gossip material. Enough of the people in my old office who thought badly of me! I don't want my fragile reputation, like an egg shell, to be destroyed by the additional gossip from Ginara.

“What?” ask Ginara curiously. “Lo is silent?”

I sighed, “his wife is my best friend. He wants to buy that gift...” I said slowly. Lying is a safe choice for me.

“Friend lo? What's?! Seriously?”

I nodded quickly. “Iya.”

Ginara knitted his forehead, “dia's birthday? Dikasih gifts all.”

I took a deep breath, then turned my face to look at Ginara. “She's pregnant. So they seem to have a misunderstanding. Well, he was just, if my friend tambek, usually..”.

Ginara is a true gossip. He will ask for details on this topic.

I'm scratching the temple. “Ya lo kek don't know guys anyway. They are usually insensitive!”

The girl chuckled softly, “iya too huh huh. If business wants to buy gifts, immediately confused about what to buy. In fact, just buy a diamond necklace, surely his wife grin wide.”

I nodded, confirming Ginara's words.

“Oh, who called you?”

If only Ginara had not asked, I would have forgotten about it. I opened the bag, took my phone.

My breath was restrained as I stared at the name on the call screen. “Lo talking what's the same him?” I asked while looking away at Ginara.

Elevator door opens.

“Oh, that was I said lo again lunch with Mas Tampan,” said Ginara while stepping out.

My steps are heavy. My mind is busy processing the taste that makes me confused. On the one hand, I don't want to make Jacob misunderstand. But if he's jealous, is it true that Jacob still has a taste for me?

Cellphone's ringing. That flat object I still hold in my hand.

Jacob called me back!

Oho! I need to calm down! If he's upset, he's jealous. If he's jealous, he's still a sign!

“Halo,” I said slowly.

“Whose are you with?” the voice sounded urgent.

“Why?”

“Where are you now?” the voice seemed calm.

Surprised me. Because Jacob would usually scream. He's tempramental!

I glanced at Ginara who was stealing glances beside me. “Still in the office.”

“You're Equal Echoes?"

"No. I'm the same office temen. Who picked up the phone."

“So Echo to there?” I muttered loudly answering Jacob's question. “He wants what the hell? You have her number?”

Huft…

I'm stuck! In the trap of old love coming back to ensnare me. I know for a fact, Jacob must have wanted to meet Gema. I can't imagine how the meeting went!

“Wio?” call Jacob from the phone.

“There. Not that you said, Sepia will..”.

“You're in the office right?” sela Jacob's.

“Iya.” Is Jacob going to be here? Oh. i'm…

“Later in the afternoon I'll pick you up from work. Now I'm on the edge of town.”

Why do I wish that the man would meet me this afternoon.

What's wrong with me? Where I was determined three years ago, when I realized Jacob wasn't coming back. I promised myself that when he comes back, I will reject him completely. I won't care about his apology!

Now...I returned my hope to that man!

Nah! If you want to reject it, I must remember, the beginning of the wound!
