Yellow Flags

Yellow Flags
Fire Jealousy

I tapped my fingernails on the steering wheel, waiting for the light to turn green. My patience is really on the verge, wanting to directly break through the red light. If only I hadn't heard Aleia's cry, I might not have felt this anxious.

Aleia is not the kind of girl who likes to go to clubs. What was the girl thinking? Why did he go there? Did his conversation with Winona this afternoon frustrate the girl? Is it true, Aleia loves me more than her own sister?

Although our family relationship was formed after Mama married Adijaya Atmadja, still I still consider Aleia like my own cousin. Even though it's not a real cousin, it's still not there for me.

I love Aleia. Feeling angry if something bothers him. But love?

That feeling was stolen from me.

And the woman I love, looking at me in disbelief. It was as if he didn't want to come any closer, but he didn't tell me to stay away. Maybe I was afraid if I re-inched a wound that has not healed. Because I was once a part of the past, which disappointed him.

The clock on the dashboard shows at 01.48, when I've parked the car. I went straight out, stepping quickly towards the entrance.

The smell of alcohol filled the air. Makes me grunt sick. I slightly raised my shoulders, seeing the flow of time jiggling with the rhythm of music. Slightly pushing the bodies blocking the way, I glanced towards the order table. Searching around for Aleia's whereabouts in rows of women and men staring at the bartender serving their drinks.

My breath choked, when I saw the girl I was looking for pushing a man who was pulling his left hand. I'm accelerating my pace.

I immediately pulled the young man's hand, making him look up, looking at me with squinting eyes. Her lips opened, saying a word I could understand from the motion of her lips. “What lo!”

Aleia turned, looking at me in surprise. I pulled his wrist. Aleia was a little unsteady, making me spontaneously stretch out my hands. Hugged her and pulled the girl to my side. Aleia glanced at me for a moment. He seemed to hold back the sleepiness, as if trying to keep the eyes open.

I faintly heard the man's voice, among the ripples of music that made my heart beat fast. “Lo... who the hell?”

“He's my guy! So go there!” aleia replied in a high tone.

I could only hold my breath hearing that spontaneous answer. If I correct...it doesn't matter! Because the man of all stature glanced at me and Aleia alternately, then shook his hands in the air.

I clasped Aleia's wrist, pulling the girl to follow my footsteps out of the Club.

“You why the hell?” ask me after standing in the parking lot.

Aleia pulled her hand hard, making me let go of the hand. The sweet face was already red with alcohol. So every breath of his smelled of liquid that made me step back. I don't really like that smell, because it makes my chest feel tight.

“Ngapain lo here?” alelia said, sounding furious. I saw a puddle in his eye sack.

Makes me breathe rough. Because I know, Aleia is very sensitive. The influence of alcohol. “We go home first yes.”

Aleia shook her head quickly, “gue take the car,” he said as he turned his face.

I rubbed my face, “gue will not permit you to bring your own car! I anterin go home.”

“Gue don't want to!” refute Aleia. His jaw tightened after uttering a high-pitched sentence.

I squinted one eye, “lo why the hell? Not usually drink kek gini.”

Aleia hit my chest. The fist felt tiny and weak. “Salahin yourself! Why lo– goes to me!” terbata.

I again took a sharp breath. This topic had never been thought of by me at all, it would be thrown out of Aleia's mouth. Looking at the tears dripping down those tapered cheeks, it made me stretch out my hands. Slowly rubbing his face. If this is the case, there is only one scenario that will usually make any woman will melt.  “I'm sorry, if it's my fault. But we go home first huh?”

Aleia lowered her face. The girl's body leaned slightly towards me. He dropped himself, making me reflexively stretch my hands. The hug felt stiff.

Sobs slowly sounded. Aleia wrapped her hands around my body.

“Salah yes, if I already save your same taste?” muttered Aleia.

I just fell silent. Don't know what to answer. Because now in my head, there is only one name that holds a taste in my heart.

...***...

Fera immediately turned his head, he nodded quickly. “Udah Pak... Hasan Sama Lolita has started making content. We can start being productive today. ”

I glanced at Beno who was sitting in the back seat. “We today look to the location. If you can take the first picture. But we have to try our best.”

“If mountain sandals, we take in the mountain area also sir?” beno asked, that tone sounded plain.

I'm increasing the speed of the car. “Iya. Cook on the beach?” I laughed a little.

Fera chuckled softly. “Masa use it!” he looked up while looking at the back seat.

“Ya kirain can be in the area .. oh..” I glanced into the rearview mirror, Beno leaning his body forward. “What can take in his shop gitu.”

Conversation continues. I was swept away in my own mind.

My head is throbbing with pain. Unrelenting bribes accompanied my journey to the outskirts of the city. The conversation with Aleia interrupted my sleep.

“You why the hell, like the same girl nervous?” ask Aleia. The girl's head was leaned against the glass. His eyes stared straight at the highway. “She's a seductress! Know Gema and Sepia come back here, he chat Echoes instead. Ngajak. Sepia is pregnant. Does he not have a heart? And what...he said..”

From the corner of my eye, I saw him looking at me. My grip on the steering wheel is getting tighter. My breath was also heavy to breathe.

“You want to turn him back! All the men are chasing him! You even said you rejected me because I was a young doctor? I don't have time for you. If I want to sacrifice a career that I have worked hard to achieve, even in vain for the sake of..”.

The sentence stopped.

My blood boiled over hearing Aleia's words. If only Aleia were fully aware, I might have already had a fight with the girl. I choose silence. Didn't pry Aleia's words. Although I really want to tell the truth.

But what good would it do if my words were forgotten in the morning? Because the girl I was talking to that night, was a drunk woman.

Not to mention the chat from Sepia this morning made me even more upset. The message made me grip the phone furiously. I immediately replied to Sepia's message.

The message I no longer reply to. I was already upset with that woman. After all his negative assumptions on Winona, still Sepia feels that she is a victim of her own best friend.

I took a deep breath. Trying to solve personal problems. Now, it's time for work! And I have to meet the target that was designed.

In about two hours, Beno and I took pictures, discussing the theme and idea of the ad. Fortunately, my work can be completed without any significant obstacles. I've also estimated a date for my next take.

The number 12.45 on the screen made me think of Winona. Does he want me to take the lunch? But I don't have enough time to be on time. About an hour's drive that stretches the distance.

Or I'll just call! Usually, women will find it difficult to forget men who often contact him, asking if they have eaten or not. The form of attention seems simple, but meaningful in.

I tapped my nails on the table, waiting for the ringtone to be pitched. At the last ringing, my phone finally picked up.

“Halo..”

My forehead frowned deeply, hearing a completely unfamiliar voice. “Who is this?”

“I Ginara. Winona is launching with handsome mas.”

Mas handsome…. “Who?”

“I don't know, he..”.

Unpleasant feeling teasing. Intuition leads me to one name. “What is he tall, narrow eyes and mature brown skin?”

“Yes! Oh, this is Winona or.”.

I turned off the phone. The flames of jealousy burned my heart. If only I had the power of teleportation, I might have landed at Winona and Echoes' place by now!
