"Eh Ela, we're the same class, aren't we?" Sound from outside.
"Yes," answered the other voice.
There was the sound of steps approaching the class.
"I'll chat now."
Kinanti slightly held her breath, as she heard footsteps getting closer and closer to the room that was only her.
Kinanti squeezed the book in her hand as someone was seen looking inside, then looked at Kinanti for a moment.
"There's people?" Ask someone who has been busy with their device.
"There's a corner. The power that Bu Indira described."
Kinanti was a little interested in hearing the sentence, wanting to know what her homeroom teacher had told the people standing in front of the class.
Kinanti looked down on reading her book when she heard their next conversation.
"Oh, who says she lives with her grandmother?"
"Well, that's it."
Kinanti sighed, would they also pity her life like most people, pitying her just by hearing the stories of others?
"Jaudah come in yuk! He's rich as he's been all alone."
Kinanti further sunk her head as she realized the two people outside had started walking towards her.
"Hey. Kinanti huh?" Someone pulled the chair beside him.
Like losing his hearing for a moment, he was immediately confused as to what he should say.
Finally Kinanti simply raised her face and smiled.
"Like to read?" Ask someone sitting next to him again.
Kinanti closed her book slowly, "Yes."
"That's okay read it. My name is Faisal" said the student, extending a hand.
"Kinanti" he replied without replying to Faisal's hand.
Unrewarded, Faisal finally lowered his hand,
"Gue from class XD, but this semester moved to this class. That lo?"
Kinanti clasped both of her hands that were starting to get wet with sweat.
"If I'm from my first semester in this class."
Faisal realized Kinanti's way of speaking was different from his other friends, a little stiff. There was a curiosity in him, who and where Kinanti came from.
"Wow! Surely your value is good all yes from SMP?"
Kinanti just smiled.
"Ka! Here dong!" Faisal called out to the young man who had been silent at the front row table.
The young man turned around until his eyes met with Kinanti. At that very second Kinanti felt her breath held back, the young man's gaze was different from Faisal's previous gaze.
It felt like Kinanti found something from that gaze, it also felt like Kinanti wanted to share things, it felt like Kinanti wanted to cry.
It reminded her of the look of someone she always missed. Eventually the young man got up and walked towards him.
"How about?" The student extended a hand.
Without a second thought Kinanti replied to his hand, "Yes."
"Lho you choose love! Raka wants to salim the same hand I don't!"
Kinanti was a little surprised to hear the protest of someone who sounded still beside her. It felt like for Kinanti time stopped a few seconds ago.
"You are so disgusted! Don't be shy, we just moved to this class. Sorry Nan, Yuk eat!" The young man pulled Faisal to the cafeteria at his school.
Before it completely disappeared from behind the door the two turned back to look at Kinanti.
"Want to eat breakfast?" asked Raka who made Kinanti had stopped breathing.
He smiled, "No, thank you."
"Yes, you have an explanation debt with me" he protested before his hand was withdrawn.
Kinanti just smiled. From what was seen earlier it feels like Kinanti can conclude the two people were close friends with each other, or maybe they were friends.
Both have different natures. Raka, Kinanti remembered the name.
Raka, once again he called it in his heart, there was a bit of a strange taste that spread to his heart every time he mentioned Raka's name.
Kinanti smiled, hopefully the new class will not be as bad as she thought. Kinanti put her book back in the backpack.
Kinanti always feels fear whenever meeting people and being in a new environment somehow.
From a small life Kinanti moved around because of the condition of his family. Initially, Kinanti can adjust quickly, but the older she is, the more difficult she is to adapt.
A week before the school re-enters Bu Indira - her homeroom teacher informs her that the school will create a new program, where every even semester will be selected students who excel in academics to be placed in the core class, namely A. While the other students will be placed in accordance with the order after, B, C, and D.
Kinanti was saddened by this, as she had two friends who made her comfortable, Sarah and Farah.
It made Kinanti from this morning frightened, how to adapt from the beginning again? even to get acquainted with it, Kinanti can sweat coldly. It was Sarah and Farah who always took the initiative to approach Kinanti.
For too long with his own mind, Kinanti was unaware that someone was sitting next to him.
"Sadah?" Ask Kinanti to confirm what she saw.
"Why do you dream?"
Kinanti confirmed her sitting position to face her classmates first, "I'm nervous about this."
"Because no one you know yet?"
Sarah answered as if she knew what her close friend was thinking.
"Yes, Rah. You know I find it hard to make a new person."
Sarah patted Kinanti's shoulder slowly,
"So calm down, it will be a long time ago also have temen. Icut, also in this class again. Forgive your friend whose brain is not as smart as Albert Einstein, so you must be alone." Sarah patted Kinanti's head softly dramatically.
"I've never said anything like Icut, Rah. Where's Farah?" Kinanti just realized from earlier Farah was not seen following.
"Farah's sick. Canteen yuk Ki! Not breakfast yet, are you?"
"Sick from when? A fever?" Kinanti asked, leaving aside Sarah's invitation to eat.
"Semalem watched Beno continue to rain, so fever. I was just aja dating mulu that child. Come on breakfast, Ki. There's still fifteen minutes left before the bell."
"Let's take a break."
"Come on! I'm a really laper!" Sarah begins to pull the hand of Kinanti who is still reluctant to stand from her place.
Kinanti sighed. "Jude, yes."
As the two prepared to leave the classroom, there was a group of freshmen coming over. They look very familiar, Kinanti can deduce from the way they throw jokes at each other which then makes them laugh together.
"Yeah!" Sarah pulls Kinanti's hand back.
"It's just that they're an XC-class gang." Sarah said next after they were quite far away from the class.
Kinanti slightly frowned, though,
"Huh? The gang?"
"Yes, the famous one. They are everywhere always in groups, there are ten deh if not wrong, the contents of which hits children so ki," Sarah's story excited.
Kinanti frowned, "They were only eight if I didn't count it wrong."
"The two Rakas are with Faisal. You'll know." Sarah Obviously.
I know you, answered Kinanti inwardly.
"Are they those hits? I've never been horrified."
"Heem. You read a book until you don't know the outside world. You will also know yourself. Uh, but are they all pinter huh? So one class, another core class. What do you want to eat?"
Kinanti is now busy with her own thoughts, if indeed in her class there are children sohit then how the fate will be. Surely he will be like a conch that will always hide in the middle of other creatures.
Kinanti had to sigh heavily on the first day of her school admission.
