Lusy had a very happy day with Cheryl. He spent several weeks with his little daughter. Cheryl herself began to get used to living there, after all Cheryl is more comfortable living in a place that has a cold temperature than hot as in Indonesia.
Lusy works at a cafe in the small town, fortunately the cafe owner does not mind Lusy who brings children while working. Even there Lusy was given a special place to use Cheryl to rest.
“Cheryl play here first, yes. Cheryl ‘kan son well.”
That's what Lusy always said, when he had to serve customers. He would ask Cheryl to sit behind the counter, so that she could calmly serve the guests. The cafe only had two employees, so Lusy had to work harder.
As Lusy was serving guests, suddenly his gaze was fixed towards someone who was walking towards the cafe.
“Rachel, please take Cheryl to the dugout. Don't let him out until I get there,” pinta Lusy with a panicked face.
“Good.” Lusy's friend Rachel immediately carried Cheryl, then took the little girl to the break room.
Max goes to the cafe where Lusy works, apparently the man will not stop chasing Lusy until they get their child.
As soon as he opened the door, Max's gaze was immediately fixed on Lusy who was standing in a cafe uniform and apron.
“Where is he?” ask Max without further ado.
Lusy walks over to Max, then pulls the man roughly out of the cafe because there are guests inside.
“Do you still not understand what I'm saying? Cheryl is not with me!” Lusy lied to protect Cheryl.
“You lied, Lu! You think I don't know! You already took Cheryl from your friend, ‘kan? Now where is he?” ask Max with a hardened jaw.
“If I lie, what do you want? Even if you beg to insist I will never hand it over!” Lusy spoke so firmly, looking intently at Max. “Didn't you throw me out, you didn't want to admit my baby. So why are you chasing me now, Max? Do you regret now getting karma if your own wife can't even get pregnant?”
“You ...” Max raises his hand to hit Lusy, but a shout stops Max.
“Don't be rude to women!” The cry of an old woman, attracting the attention of people passing by, even cafe visitors immediately looked out.
Max looked around, people started looking at him with strange gazes. He then looked at Lusy, visibly annoyed that he could not do much to suppress Lusy at the moment.
“Remember, Lu. I'll come back and make sure I can get Cheryl. He is also my son.” Max spoke in a slightly suppressed tone of voice, then left Lusy.
Lusy is seen lifting his chin as challenging, although actually deep down he is so afraid if Max is rude and forced to take Cheryl. He was grateful that there was a woman shouting at the man as he was about to hit him.
“You all right?” ask the old woman who was yelling at Max.
“I'm fine, Aunty.” Lusy smiled warmly thanking her.
“Thank God, why men now love to be rude to women.” The old woman looked at Max as he left.
Lusy immediately entered the cafe after Max left. He looked for Cheryl into the break room, then carried her daughter and held her tight to the tiny body.
Rachel saw fear in Lusy's gaze, even seeing that Lusy's eyes were glazed over.
“Mommy will keep you, baby. Mommy will never let you go, even if you have to lose Mommy's own life.” Lusy kissed Cheryl's cheeks, until the little girl squirmed to avoid.
