“Zayn!”

Having just set foot in the house, Zayn had already heard the call from the mother. The young man turned his head, looking at Farah who was sitting in the living room.

Farah looked at Zayn with a displeased facial expression, even one palm was seen clenching.

“What's up, Ma?” asked Zayn a little lazily.

Since she rejected Farah's arranged marriage, Farah's attitude towards her has changed.

“So afternoon have you seen Meghan?” farah asked with a sharp look and a face without a smile, not as usual when she talked to the proud son.

Zayn exhaled using his mouth to hear Farah's question, a little lazy to have to discuss it again.

“He was at the office, but I was busy and working a lot,” replied Zayn.

Farah looked angry, and then stood up quickly.

“He's been kind enough to come to you at the office, but what are you doing? Who did you go with this afternoon, huh? You said busy but turned out to go with another woman who had a child!”

It turns out that this afternoon Farah accidentally saw Zayn with Lusy and Cheryl.

Farah did not want Zayn to marry a widow, lest Zayn like Farzan who eventually became the talk of his brothers.

Zayn began to lose patience due to the clash of Farah. She had already endured the emotions due to the unwanted matchmaking, now Farah seemed to be cornered herself continuously.

“Yes, I love her, Ma! She is the only woman I like and will marry. If not with her, I won't marry you!” This was the first time Zayn had spoken out loud and forcefully to his mother.

Farah was very surprised to hear Zayn's loud voice, thinking why now her son so has a hard attitude like this now.

“You dare to yell at Mama, Zayn!” Farah did not accept when her son's attitude changed. “What is this because of the bad influence of the woman?”

Zayn realized that he had crossed the line by being rude, but he was like that also because of the insistence of the mother.

Zahra was already home, the girl saw from the second floor how her brother and mother were fighting. This was the first time his family had seen a fight. Zahra was sad to see this happen.

Zayn took a deep breath and exhaled slowly, trying to regulate his emotions so as not to gain more control over him.

“Ma, I didn't mean to snap. Only, please understand what I want. Mama's choice doesn't have to be the best for me, I just want Mama to trust me. I really just love him,” said Zayn who had lowered his tone.

Farah's emotions were still unstable, her chest looked up and down irregularly and her breathing was heavy from holding back anger.

Without speaking, Farah left Zayn. She would still not be able to accept if Zayn chose a woman other than Meghan.

Zayn looked at the mother who left him, until Farah stopped stepping and returned to voice.

“Although you marry her, then never take her to this house. Mama will never allow and bless your relationship. His presence in this house will never be accepted!”
