Youth Knight

Youth Knight
City Guard III

___

Once in the city Adry disbanded his subordinates, giving them time to rest.

I was traumatized, all of those things just happened and were ringing in my head.

Without speaking I went straight away but Adry held my shoulder and stopped me. "Wait Reza! Don't let my father know this from your mouth. Sooner or later, he must have heard. I just didn't want to make him worry that fast" said Adry, who looked in pain.

"Well, can you come with me for a minute? Come with me to the office." I followed him, arriving at Adry's office, removing all his armor and armor.

Adry seemed to be in pain, when he took off his shirt there were a lot of bruises on his body. "This shit hurts, it looks like some of my bones are broken."

I'm not a doctor, I don't know anything like this. I could only get him a glass of water for him to calm down. "How did you get that wound? while you're wearing armor, a sword won't make you like this, will it?"

He's lying at his office desk. "They have the war hammer, not the real war hammer, they make it but it's enough to make me battered, just look at my dented armor."  He pointed at his armor that was leaning against the wall.

I asked, "Why don't your subordinates have iron armor like you?"

Adry replied, "The armour I wear is very expensive, a few people can buy it, most of the nobles have dozens of armor like this, then helmets, weapons and others. The budget for the guards is not huge.

My superior only gave me a set of armor made of thick cloth, if you want more, then you should buy it yourself, because our goal is to bring order to the city not to fight."

"I think I should call a doctor here for you." Adry stopped me again.

"No need, I'll be there myself." Adry stood up to take a pen and paper. "I have to write a report to my superiors, the castle of the fucking robbers is not something the guards can deal with." after he finished writing and sealing the letter, he gave the letter to me. "I will give you a power of attorney. Go home and clean yourself up and then please pass this letter to my superiors inside the castle town, lest the seal come off. I'm gonna go find a doctor."

___

It didn't seem like Adry knew it was traumatizing me. I'm tired right now, but I can't resist, it's my fault for following him.

I went back to my house, cleaned the wound on my leg and bandaged it again with a bandage after which I left for the castle of the city.

Finally in front of the castle. As I approached, the castle guards stopped me and asked me for my purpose.

Frustrated by my current situation, I immediately showed the seal of the letter that Adry had given me.

The castle guard told me to wait, and then he walked over to someone who was seen watching the people who were training there. The guard paid his respects to a man of slender and graceful stature. "Sir, there's someone who wants to see you." It seems like he's an important person in the castle.

Then the Guard and the Man approached me, The man asked, "Who are you? Whatis your?"

I took the letter out of my pocket. "I'm Arezha Mister, just a regular guy who works in a tavern. My friend Adry, the captain of the guards he's been injured because of the fight he's been in and left this to me, sir." He took the letter from me and unsealed the letter then he started to read the contents of the letter on the spot. "In this letter your name is Reza, not Arezha?"

I replied, "Reza is the call that Adry gave me Sir." It looks like Adry listed my nickname rather than my real name in that letter.

Then the man introduced himself, "Arezha, introduce my name Pier, my post in the castle as head of city security." Then Master Pier led me to a table that looked luxurious, as if only nobles were allowed to occupy this beautiful chair.

Mr. Pier welcomes. "Please comfort yourself Arezha." After he sat down, I followed him. He read the letter again, and I looked around me. "Master Pier what is this place?", Mr. Pier stopped reading and replied, "This place is a barracks, I am in charge of this place and train them directly."

"I guess they're a city militia, don't you think? "

Mr. Pier replied, "They are knights, trusted men who were appointed as personal retinues of Mr. Adipram, Count of Sernia. We have a municipal militia of commoners whose barracks are outside the walls of this castle"

Unlike me those knights look tough.

Mr. Pier read the letter again. A few minutes passed, then he commented, "It seems that they are a group of criminals who use the royal land illegally, I've heard the news that there is a group of robbers, but this? it'll be a big deal if it's left."

Master Pier stood up from his seat then walked amidst the practicing knights, took the dull one-handed sword from the sword rack and said, "Any one of you who wants to prove yourself in a fight, will be given fame!" The knights who were training were interested and approached Mr. Pier.

Of course this is an opportunity for those who want gifts of form, fame, money, and maybe appointed as barons in a region.

"Duel with me!" The challenge of Mr. Pier. I really don't think he's going to win, I mean he doesn't look like a fighter at all and doesn't look as tough as those knights.

One of the knights stepped forward to serve his challenge. Master Pier held the sword with his right hand and right foot forward sideways, as they faced each other and erected the horses Master Pier said, "When you are ready!"

The knight shouted and lunged, swinging his sword vertically from top to bottom, but Mr. Pier easily dodged and kicked the knight's sword handle out of his grasp and Master Pier pointed his sword at the knight's chest saying, "You're dead." He retreated and the other knights stepped one by one.

There were already 8 defeated knights against him in the current duel, the result was always Master Pierlah who won. Master Pier's fighting style tends to be passive only relying on his light body so it is easy to dodge an attack and counterattack if there is a gap. I didn't expect him to be very good at swordsmanship.
