Last customer tonight, an old man came to the tavern to have a drink with a group of his friends. His friends looked a little rowdy and began to raise his voice when ordering drinks.

But despite their rudeness, the old man remained calm and asked for suggestions of a drink that matched his meal.

Then I suggested some wine that suited his taste and he was happy at my recommendation. He thanked me and left afterwards.

I cleaned the shop for a while before returning home and said goodbye to Mr. Dery and Grandpa Izwar who were chatting.

I've been working in this store for quite a while, months have passed. I learned how to take orders efficiently, maintain conversations with customers, serve a large group, and even learn some of Sernia's signature dishes with Grandpa Izwar made mostly of fish. I finally feel that I am now a master.

During these 5 months I gained a lot of experience, my world expanded and knew some things around me. Mr. Dery often chooses to sleep in the store rather than his own home, a house that big only lives Adry unfortunately.

Mr. Dery who now always handed the tavern business to me and Grandpa Izwar because now he is always busy with his hobby of fishing.

That's why I got a 30% raise%.

Grandpa Izwar with his shortcomings now he is proficient in cooking and helps in terms of cooking, therefore his room rental fee is free and he has his own income.

I rarely meet Adry because he's always busy with his job, and he just got a promotion last month as the captain of the city guard. I don't know what the difference is, but it seems that now he has a subordinate.

We had a business rival at the time. They seemed to be envious of our always busy tavern, thus cheating. Always sending someone to make a noise in the tavern, making me hide in the cellar out of fear.

Alister, Alix, and Carnell intervene to clear them all and report it to Mr. Dery. Mr. Dery, who knew it, went to his rival with the guards at the time, and his rival never looked like anything else. I don't know what Mr. Dery did.

I'm thankful nothing bad happened a few months back. I was tired, but I found it more useful. I feel proud of myself now.

I served the customers in the store, and returned to the kitchen to deliver the order to Grandpa Izwar. "Grandpa, 2 beef steaks, 4 grilled chicken and 1 grilled fish with french fries." Grandpa immediately prepared and cooked all of it. "Well, I'll call you back when it's ripe." While Grandpa was cooking I served customers who ordered drinks and bread.

I went to the customer's desk to give them the drinks they asked for. "Please, sir, have this drink you asked for." I heard Grandpa call me, it seemed like he had finished preparing the order of the customers, I took the order and realized, people are entering the tavern more and more, what is this?

When giving orders to the customers I overheard that the Empire had moved. "It's horrible! The Empire has moved, they will attack Aldea City like 60 years ago!" After hearing the same few words from many customers, I increasingly believed that war was really going to happen.

The night when the shop was quiet, I felt like going on vacation to visit somewhere with Adry, there were things I wanted to talk to him about.

I knocked on Mr. Dery's room, it looked like he was asleep. When I was leaving, the door opened. Mr. Dery's face looked very sleepy. "What's Reza?" I immediately told my intention, "Sir, I want to take a leave of absence for the next few days."

Maybe he was half asleep. "I'm not saying that, I'm just taking a week off." Mr. Dery replied, "Oh so? whatever you do, I'll go back to sleep."

Then he shut the door. Looks like I'm a bad influence on Mr. Dery.

I saw Grandpa Izwar cleaning up the kitchen, then helping him out. "Thank you for today, baby."

Grandpa looked at me sharply. "Look at you have grown!" my grandfather praised me.

"Haha Grandpa who is now developing." She was wearing the same maid outfit as me, now she looked fuller and healthier than the first time I met her.

"I'll be home, see you later!" I said wave my hand.

This morning I went to Adry's house and knocked on his door, and Adry opened the door to let me in. "Reza! come in first, sit down wherever you like!"

I entered the room and sat down at the dinner table, and Adry asked, "What are you doing here?"

"I've just taken a day off, are you busy today?"

Adry wore one by one his iron armor from bottom to top, "Looks like it's going to be a busy day, do you have anything to talk about?" ask Adry.

"I see, I just want to talk to you once in a while, you've been getting busy lately."

"That's how, I got some of the same reports, there was a group of criminals who always ambushed robbing and killing the merchants who were heading towards Sernia City on the way. I'm trying to increase surveillance around the streets by patrolling, that's my plan today." Adry and I went out, and Adry locked the door.

"If you're so bored, you can come with me to the gate. We can talk there." We also reached the gate.

Adry spoke with some of his subordinates and ordered them to patrol the northern passage of the Sernia gate. "Call 10 guards here" Adry told his subordinates.

His subordinate then went to call the other guards, while I spoke to Adry, "Adry have you heard about the battle with the Empire?"

Adry nodded. "Yes I have heard it, I have heard also that the higher-ups are holding a meeting in the Capital. If this is to happen, victory must be in our hands. The Empire demands too much that not even the Kingdom has, we must break away from the grasp of the Empire."

"You're not going to fight that war, are you?" my many.

Adry responded, "If I get an order from my superiors, I'll leave this City immediately to defend my country."

"I hope that doesn't happen, if you don't go we'll be safe in Sernia, away from the war and live happily."

Adry looked angry, it seemed like I was saying the wrong thing. "You don't understand Reza, you'll probably feel safe with your current possessions and work while the warriors are shedding their blood. Wait for the moment when the Empire gets right in front of your eyes, then it's over" he said, pointing at my face.

Then he drank the water to calm himself down, gave me a glass of drink, and then said, "If everyone thinks they're going to live comfortably in their city, then at that point our country will be destroyed. Right now the ones who will be the victims are those within the Empire's reach, there will be a massacre if they manage to penetrate the city, we must defend them!"

I apologized to Adry. "I'm sorry, Adry, I said something I shouldn't have said."
