CHAPTER 28. Halim and Honesty

Silence was still going on between the two of them, Agnes who was smiling lowered her head slowly withstanding the facts that were imprinted in her heart.

It's hard enough, but sometimes the honesty of someone has two sides, hurt and relieved, we can't choose which side we want.

"Pretentious after doing it?" asked Agnes who made Halim look down, the face of maturity was now like a child in front of her mother.

"Mas was not the first deck, Glenda had already done it with another man before Mas," replied Halim changing my call to Mas to mention himself.

"Which Agnes asked, Are you sorry?" ask Agnes again.

Halim's shoulders trembled, and it didn't feel like she was crying in her regret that Agnes knew what her husband's answer was.

"I have no right to judge what Mas did in the past, it's Mas's decision but I have the right to rebuke if what Mas did was wrong," agnes said back to cupping Halim's cheek.

Agnes reviewed the smile despite the pain in the heart, Agnes raised Halim's head which made Halim able to look at her.

"Sorry-in, Mas, deck," Halim said with a glare of eyes so sincere, Agnes never knew that Halim could bring out a glare of sincerity there.

"As for Allah's forgiveness, the repentance is always open, for Allah loves the repentance of a sinner more" replied Agnes stroking her husband's face. "Whatever happens to Mas's past, Agnes will not leave Mas Halim."

"Because of this moment, we're not talking about the past but the future and the future it's just me and Mas Halim, there's no past in the story," agnes encouraged Halim.

"You're too kind and patient Agnes, Mas it's nothing and will only be a pest to you."

"I'm not very kind or patient, but I'm learning to love Mas Halim, and Mas know? The supreme fact of loving it is when we already know the dark times of the people we love but we are still there to strengthen it."

Halim really felt embarrassed inwardly by the words of Agnes who slapped the recesses of her heart, as if Halim's lowest point was really already at the lowest base of the lowest bottom itself.

"Don't ever feel bad Mas, especially in love affairs, while the Prophet only met with Khadijah and Aisyah was full of intrigue, Khadijah who dared to express his love in silence, and Siti Aisyah who chose to love in silence, as well as the Messenger of Allah who loved them above the Shari'a, Mas need not feel good to be good, because the one who knows the best side of us is well ourselves, not others.

Halim ended their conversation by hugging Agnes deeply and crying in her arms.

It has been three days, Halim is hospitalized and today she has been invited to go home, Agnes is packing their belongings while Halim is still sitting in bed.

While Agnes was packing things while in the hospital, someone went into the room to care for Halim with a doctor.

"Good day, right with Mr Halim?"

"Right, what's up?" answer Halim.

"Include me Hadi, from the police who handled the case of attempted premeditated murder of Mr.'s wife which resulted in Mr. Halim entering the hospital" replied Hadi.

"report? My wife and I never felt like we were making a report on the case to the police, sir" Halim replied in confusion.

"One of the witnesses who reported this case sir, and you have found two suspects, namely Bu Sinta as the stabbing perpetrator against Mr. Halim while Glenda as the brain of this plan."

Halim was speechless hearing that explanation, her teeth growling. "The lace?"

Hadi nodded which made Halim squeeze the bedsheet she was sitting on.
