37. Jasper - Escape's

The alarm on my watch went off at exactly 12 p.m. Right after I turned the door open, Dextra and Sinistra went into the room.

The two of my personal bodyguards checked the state of the entire room and came out again after seeing me pretending to sleep soundly. I waited a few minutes to make sure they were out of my room. Every day at 12 pm is the last check before the morning check at 5 the next day.

I hurried up from my bed, I laid out my bolsters and pillows. I covered it with a thick blanket until it looked like a sleeping person.

I grabbed my duffel bag that I had filled with enough money and gold, some clothes, medicines, and tools that if needed on the way. Not to forget I put a sword with the royal insignia I used to wear as my everyday weapon, the Astral Sword.

Last I slipped a double whip on the belt that I was going to use as a spare weapon. Just in case when needed, considering this is the first time I will be out of the palace without a strict escort.

I walked to the balcony and was about to jump when a smooth clap landed on my shoulder.

The deg! My heart stopped beating.

Who'sisthis? The claps were so smooth, there was no way he was Zircon or Opal. Then who? Is the queen's mother? How could he be here? At this hour anyway? How could he know of our plan?

I slowly turned my body, I spread my eyes so I could see clearly with my dark surroundings. I almost jumped in joy when I found out who was patting me. She was not the queen mother as I feared, but rather a sweet girl with her blue gear suit that was also as bright as the clouds, Saphir.

"Hello Jez, are you ready?" tanyanya glanced at the backpack that was already on my shoulder.

"Saphi? What are you doing here? Is it night now?" I was amazed to see his presence.

After a thought, the stupid question shouldn't have come out of my mouth. Of course he didn't come to visit me and play in the middle of the night, did he? Not likely. Of course the answer is clear. He came to pick me up!

"I'm in charge of guaranteeing your safety until the royal hangar gear. Let's hurry up Jez, we have to leave before we get caught by the guards or other palace soldiers." Saphir spread his gaze around all directions before jumping over the balcony in a very light motion.

"Follow me!" his orders preceded my steps.

Without answering I jumped over the balcony as well, down following him. Saphir's movements were so light and agile that I had to concentrate fully in order to be able to follow his every step and not be left behind in the darkness of the night.

Our trip was hardly a meaningful obstacle except to stop and hide occasionally. Hiding to avoid some of the soldiers who were on night patrol around the palace.

We arrived at the hangaar gear and entered through its poorly guarded side door. But even in the hangar, neither Zircon nor Opal saw the trunk of his nose. Where'd they?

The one who welcomed us both there was Platina with her beautiful yellow gear suit. What the fuck? Why even involve girls on dangerous missions like this?

"Not a problem here?" Platina asked solemnly to welcome us, quickly I and Saphir replied with a nod of their heads.

"Come on Jez, get on Advandli. Brother Opal has prepared it for you. We'll both take you outside the royal capital." The girl immediately jumped up and entered the slender yellow gear cocoon next to Advandli, Serphent.

Without further ado, Saphir also jumped up and entered the beautiful, winged, angel-like light blue gear, Seraphin.

I also don't want to miss jumping and riding Ardvandli, my black gear. Entering his cocpid and turning on his main engine.

In terms of actual military capabilities these two girls are already worthy of the rank of sergeant. If only their parents had not barred them from entering the military and going to war. Even to be honest they may be more adept at controlling gear than I am still just learning and getting to know about this gear.

"Why do you have to take me? Too risky for you guys." My protest made a connection to both gears at my side.

"We have to ensure your safety jez." replied Saphir briefly, his face appearing on one of my gear monitor screens. Platina's face also appeared a while later even though the girl did not speak.

"We need to stay connected like this." Platina reminded of the need to make connections between the gears so that the three of us were still connected in order to communicate and coordinate.

"Are you all ready?" Ask Sapphire. Platina and I just nodded their heads in response.

Makes me want to not want to quickly spur my gear and come darting after them. We flew together through the palace complex, the urban area and continued to the rural areas that existed in the royal capital. Fly further and further towards the capital's border region.

"Where are Zircon and Opal?" I asked I could not hide my curiosity and my annoyance at the two of them.

"They had already left first after preparing everything." Saphir answered on my computer screen.

"Why did they leave first? Wouldn't it be easier if I just went with them?" I'm more and more inexhaustible with their minds. Still don't like the idea of involving these two girls on a dangerous run.

"So that no one suspects. They both reasoned to shorten the holiday and return to their respective headquarters in the border area. Their automatic and gear have been officially released by the kingdom. Can be free to enter and enter the capital." Platina replied appeared on my computer.

"But for the three of us, keep in mind that our gear is illegal. We shouldn't have left the capital city area.it could be so bad if we get caught!" Saphir added and warned both of us.

I'm a little surprised, I can't believe that just bringing the gear out of the palace there's a protocol that needs to be met. Must there be a permit, must it be removed by the palace?

For a while after that the three of us were silent in gear each busy with their own thoughts. Fifteen minutes later we reached the outer limits of the capital.

A gigantic, super-large wall loomed, surrounding the capital. The great wall was used for the defense of the kingdom as well as the deployment of a firing squad to repel the enemy in case of emergency.

Under normal circumstances, there were four large gates in the four corners of the capital. The gate serves as the official in and out of gear or other vehicles to and from the capital.

But not for us at the moment, we who want to get out in this illegal way. The gate was heavily guarded by many soldiers so we couldn't possibly pass through it and say a ride through right? As a result we chose to pass through the great wall on the west side which is quite far from the gate.

"Be careful not to flash the light!" Platina warned me and Sapphire.

The three of us moved our gear closer to the wall. I added my concentration without reducing my gear speed. I observed once again the great wall that surrounded the city, the flashlight and the laser beam highlighted all directions randomly and very closely. Then how to pass it without getting caught by the test sensor?

"Where's this? do we have to break through it?" I asked a little doubt.

"Don't hesitate, keep your speed up. Whatever happens, never go back or look back!" Said Saphir as if he could read our turmoil.

"Let's go, Jez! Tina!" continued.

"Well, we can't back down now." Platina gave me spirit.

I shook off all the doubts in my chest, pushed my gear at high speed, jutting their two gears in front of me.

Just before passing through the wall, Saphir opened fire in a row with his rifle on one side of the wall. Intentional shots to make the floodlight and laser beam contingent directional at the point hit by the Saphir shot.

We took advantage of that momentary pause to dart through the city walls. But unfortunately it did not take long for Flashlight and the laser to re-spread in all directions.

Making the three of us have to wander around avoiding the spotlight and laser sensors that come back to target us. Not long after, we finally got through the wall.

But suddenly there was a very deafening siren sound and a threat from the guard post below us with loadspeaker.

"STOP! STOP OR WE SHOOT!!".
