58. Opal - Request

This afternoon Ruby came to me and Platina where we were held, in the iron building that looks like our carriage to be precise. Unlike usual, this girl seemed to be in a hurry and impatient.

"Let's both of you come with me" he ordered harshly.

"Oiya had almost forgotten," he removed two pieces of black cloth from his pants pocket.

"Whatis that? What do you want?" I was trying to figure out what she wanted from both of us.

"Just in case, she" continued, approaching Platina and closing her eyes with a piece of cloth. Then he came up to me as well and tied the remaining piece of cloth to my two eyes.

"What's wrong, I'll take care of you. Don't worry," I clasped my girl's hand to strengthen her a little, trying to give her calmness and courage.

"RUBY! Where's you!!" The door of the room suddenly thumped loudly, opened violently and a man barged into the room forcefully.

Some of Ruby's men tried to stop the man's steps, but the man easily hit and removed them from his presence.

"Oh Jade...What the hell? Don't make it a scene." Ruby replied casually approaching the man.

I watched for a moment the man, he had a pretty handsome face with his silky black hair. He was wearing neat and nice clothes compared to Ruby's men. He's probably the one who's here. The look in his eyes was very sharp and somehow I felt that there was a sadism hidden there. He's like a big-time criminal who won't hesitate to kill in every act of his crime. From the look on his face I estimate that the man was about 25 years old.

"What does this tournament mean? What do you mean you're getting married to the winner, huh?" Jade snapped at Ruby, furious.

"I'm an adult. It's time to get married" replied Ruby lightly.

"Just kid! Who's she?" Jade swept her cruel gaze across the room and her sharp gaze stopped on me.

"Oh so he's the guy you want to marry?" He then pointed his index finger at me with emotion. Thought I was the man in question.

Oh bad! What else is this? Be married? Ruby with me? Wait, something must be wrong. I did promise to do anything for Ruby to keep Platina safe. Even going to the tournament I don't mind. But to get married?

"It's none of your business who I want to marry, Jade!" Shouted Ruby along with emotions facing Jade.

"I don't agree! I'll leave all your plans crazy. I'll kill any man who dares to try to marry you" Jade threatened in a high tone not to be outdone.

"Who are you? You have no right!"

"I'm your brother! I'll make sure you don't marry another man. You're mine!" Jade said last time full of emphasis and threats before finally passing away leaving us. The man slammed the door of the room hard in addition to his threat to Ruby.

"Aaaaahhhh fuck you Jade. Abnormal sister complex! Ruby shouted, and Jade continued to pass regardless.

"He's my brother. But we have no blood relation. He's my father's adopted son. He's an abnormally crazy. When she wanted to marry me?" Ruby tried to explain the situation that had just happened to me and Platina. Strange situation about his relationship with his stepbrother.

"I want to marry another man I love. Or at least with a great master gear that can win this tournament. Not with an abnormal jerk like him. However much I've considered him a brother, I can't marry him and be his wife." Ruby spilled everything on us.

I was silent and could not answer or react. Can only look at each other and hold hands with Platina. Why are we caught up in this weird domestic conflict?
