57. Diamond - West Line (2)

I don't know how long I've been asleep and lulled in the comfort of the healing tube. As soon as I opened my eyes I found my body still in the tube. The green liquid that had surrounded my body had already disappeared replaced with a cool golden-yellow light. I looked at the situation around me, it seemed like it was morning.

"You've woken up Colonel?" Midori smiled, walked over and approached me. He pushed a button to open the tube that covered my body. Making sure the healing process I had to go through was complete.

Slowly I sat down at the treatment table and slowly moved my body. It felt lighter as if all my tiredness had disappeared.

"I don't recognize my own body" I told him the uneg-uneg that stuck in my heart.

"Hahaha" Midori laughed lightly.

"Come here" he showed me a computer screen that showed me statistics on my body.

"As written here, your body has recovered almost 100%. But you need to know Colonel, the human body is not as simple as the numbers can be described. They have their own rules and they all differ depending on the individual." He went on to explain as soon as I got close to where he was standing, followed by observing the screen.

A short time later Amethys and Goldy enter the clinic, informing them that Ruby has come to pick up. This is what I love about Goldy, she seemed to be able to read my mind. He will take care of the things I cannot handle even with a few simple commands. Somehow he was able to contact Ruby, even negotiate with her to pick me up this morning. Resetting the time from the initial schedule of pickup in the evening yesterday.

"Please take care of him for us. Don't let him kill himself again." Midori gave a message.

"Just kill yourself" I grieved.

"Sure, I'll make sure he gets back here alive." Amy responded to my two boys' requests steadily.

"Thank you for everything" Amy continued to greet Goldy and Midori alternately. I also greeted the two of them with a smile.

"Don't die, Diamond!" Goldy emphasized her words to me. And I nodded steadily, to him. Don't want to make him worry about me.

"There's a woman as beautiful as Miss Sumeragi who's willing to be by your side. You should love your own life from now on." Goldy yelled as Amy and I had already left the clinic, walking in tandem toward the gear hangar.

"Of course!" I answered him without looking back.

Me and Amethys returned to our gear, the Poenix and Leviathan, which had been set up in the hangar. I can see that my gear has been filled with fuels, and the navigation map has also been upgraded. As expected of Goldy who could always prepare everything without needing any more orders.

After making sure all our preparations were ok, I immediately flew my gear. Leviathan glided and flew along the Poenix radius. I made a connection to West Line headquarters after flying a little far. And I can see Goldy's face appearing on my gear monitor. He was standing in the control room of West Line headquarters.

"Where's Ruby?" Ask her.

"On the south dunes" replied Goldy sending us the location we had to go.

"Good luck," he continued, terminating the connection.

There I could see a large fighter waiting for us. Ruby and four of his men were waiting for us outside the plane.

"Colonel!" Ruby immediately ran and slid into my arms as soon as I got out of my gear.

"I'm a kangeeeen" He continued to lightly kiss my cheeks right and left alternately without excuse. I silently accepted her treatment, not daring to react.

Exactly confused how to react in this unpleasant situation. If I refuse or repel Ruby's actions, the girl can get angry. And impact? He could have harmed Opal and Platina, who were his captives.

Meanwhile, if I accept Ruby's treatment with pleasure, I don't know what Amy's gonna do. Maybe he'll get angry or even beat me up all over later.

"Of course," I motioned to Amy to forward hand over the suitcase full of gold bars.

One of Ruby's men accepted it, opened it and examined it. Whistling happily with widened eyes when looking at the contents.

"Can, boss." she made sure to Ruby.

"Who is he?" Ruby asked after noticing Amethys' presence. Seemed very unhappy to know there was a beautiful girl accompanying me.

"He's Amy, my assistant." I answered introducing Amethys who immediately nodded politely and smiled kindly to Ruby.

"Curtain! What did you bring him for. Just disturb!" Ruby blatantly whines about Amy's presence there.

"Don't mind him." I tried to convince Ruby that Amy was nobody.

"Where's the gift you promised me?" I want to end this transaction immediately.

"There's at home. Just take it yourself" replied Ruby at will. A response that was completely beyond my expectations.

I think he'll hand over the captives when we give him what he wants. But it turns out this girl is much more cunning than I thought.

"What's? This is not in accordance with the contents of your letter," I tried to protest his actions.

"Hiswa they are with me now. I love how I want to. It's up to the Colonel to come with me to take it or not..." Ruby replied, dramatic, annoying.

"Alright I'll come," I gave up on this girl. I was worried that something would happen to Opal and Platina if I didn't want to obey Ruby's will.

"That's donk. Later you only need to do a few small things for me," said Ruby excitedly holding my arm, inviting me to walk along the plane.

Amethys followed us from behind entering the plane as well after setting our gear into autopilot mode.

Little thing? I can't imagine what I should do for him. Little things for Ruby can be dangerous and risking lives.

Shortly after the plane we were boarding took off, flying steadily down the barren desert below us.
