Almekia Kingdom

Almekia Kingdom
45. Zircon - Bloody Hell's

In the darkness of the night we continued to drive our gears violently. Drove and continue to drive along the barren desert that seems limitless and brimless. Even though our bodies and souls are very tired, we cannot stop or rest. Our goal is only one, Bloody Hell! We need to get there as soon as possible.

Fortunately since the red gear robbers were no more robbers or other criminals who confronted us. There were no significant obstacles so we still did not run out of gear fuel even though we were traveling nonstop.

I don't know why my heart has always been troubled and agitated throughout this escape. The great fear that had never hit me before was even as severe as the war I was fighting, just kept flashing in my head. It's always haunted me since we left the palace ...

It's a big fear because I can't protect my friends, protect the people I care about. The fear that once again I fail, lose! Once again I have harmed, sacrificed my best friend for my own safety.

After I caused Diamond to almost lose his life, I now leave Opal to fight alone. Leaving himself against so many enemies in order to give us enough time to escape the herd of robbers. For our safety, my safety.

Opal, I'm sorry. Forgive me for being this useless. Forgive me for my helplessness.

Even to keep the Platina that you put on me, I can't. You are willing to sacrifice yourself for all of us. Take some time so we can escape and survive.

Opal, you're alive, right? Please don't die and hopefully we'll be able to meet again in Bloody Hell someday.

Platina too, no matter where the girl went, she just went to separate herself from the entourage regardless of my warning. I can't waste Opal's sacrifice chasing and bringing back Platina.

I have to keep pushing my gear and guarantee the safety of Jasper and Saphir. Prioritizing the safety of more people than one person. But I'm sure Platina must have gone to Opal's. And as long as he's with Opal he'll be fine.

We flew continuously towards the southwest, the direction pointed by Opal before parting. And sure enough by dawn I could see a big city that looked bright. The city with a flickering flickering full of lights that are in sharp contrast to the state of its pitch-black surroundings. It must be Bloody Hell, there can be no other city in the desert and it is this dangerous.

Like an ordinary city, this city also has a hangar gear outside its gates. I took Jasper and Saphir to land there to park our gear. I looked at the simple hangar gear at a glance, it seemed like this place doubles as an inn.

I took Jasper and Saphir to land our gear in front of the hangar and enter the building. From the outside of this building is like a cheap motel that is dirty and unkempt. The paint on the wall has been a lot of peeling even blackened by dust.

The situation in the building is not much different from the outside, just as dirty and seedy, the furniture is as simple and dusty.

“We want to leave our three gears, and can we rent a room as well?” ask me on the receptionist who sits behind the table with sleepiness.

“Hm, sure. Want nitip gear with brapa percent safety guarantee? What class does the room want?” he asked indifferently, huh really bad service.

“Warranty 100%, standard doble room 4 days”

“All 770,000 Gils”

Without a second thought, I took out a few pieces of money. I paid the amount of money he asked for, not wanting to prolong the problem. The officer immediately gave us 2 room keys and 3 access cards .

“Room number 17, 2nd floor. Gear pad is F,G,H.”

“Still,” I said take the key and access the card. Then quickly led Jasper and Saphir to the 2nd floor looking for our room. I didn't want anyone to notice us given our striking appearance with the gear suit.

“Hei Zirc, why are you wasting our money?” sapphire protested as soon as we entered our room.

The walls of the room are no longer clear color, whether cream or brown that has been stained by dust. Very simple room, there is only a double-size bed with a thin mattress, a foam sofa that is hollow in some parts, and, small wooden cabinets and tables and a small bathroom.

The narrow room that looked very dirty and unsterilized compared to our room in the pavilion let alone the Jasper room in the palace.

Another case with me who has joined the military, when in my North line headquarters I was used to sleeping like a shady with many other soldiers in the barracks, even sleeping on a tree or in the open air is very cold I once lived considering my headquarters in the snowy mountain area.

“Times only for this dilapidated room would you like to spend 770,000 gils? It's called a girder! You realize we're not on the run, we have to save money!” Said Saphir in a tone of speech that I found annoying because of his resemblance to his older brother Diamond.

“We're in Bloody Hell. It is up to our room how important our gear is safe.” I answered while putting my backpack on the floor and I laid my body on the sofa.

“Be rested first, you guys must be tired too right?” it felt so relieved, finally after a long journey that was very tiring of soul and body, I was finally able to lay down my back and close my eyes.

“But this is too expensive..” Sapphire still insists on not losing.

“Ssshhhh already saphir, Zircon must be very tired. Let him rest for a moment." Jasper tried to stop Sapphire's protest against me.

"But it..."

"Zircon is far more experienced about life outside the palace than the two of us. Maybe he just wants to make sure our gear's safety. This Bloody Hell was a lawless free city, surely many thieves and robbers were roaming around. Or it could be that even the owner of this gear hangar himself is a thief” Jasper trying to explain to Saphir patiently about.

I'm glad Jasper can explain things I can't say. Well it's true Jasper said, the safety of our gear is my top priority.

Jasper removed the backpack from his back and placed it on a small table in the corner of the room. “It is better we also rest to recover our energy”

“Rest? Whereabouts? There is only one bed, right?” Saphir protested while standing around with a waist.

This time Jasper did not answer, from the corner of the eye I could see he was looking out the window with a view that was difficult to interpret.

Maybe he was thinking about his current situation and situation, or he could be enjoying his freedom, being free from the queen, all the escorts, all the rules and all the stifling affairs of the palace every day.

Or maybe he was observing the state of the city that he never even imagined would visit. Well, even though it's still dark outside and it doesn't look like anything. It is this city, Bloody Hell, that will bring him one step closer to unraveling the great mystery about his father... Mystery about the late King of the great Almekia Kingdom.

“That's a double bed? You can sleep alone with Jez there.” I answered without opening my eyes that were already very heavy as if being held by several kilograms of objects.

I was astonished and couldn't understand Sapphir's way of thinking. Why why anyway? Is it not comfortable to sleep in bed when our bodies are really tired?

“A, what? I...I slept with Jez?” Saphir asked suddenly nervously, making me open one eye out of curiosity and I found the girl's embarrassed face that was crimson.

“You don't mind Jez?” I asked Jasper and he immediately nodded in agreement with a slight red hue on his face, making me slightly aware of Saphir's rejection and Jasper's mannerisms.

“Review you Jez, if you dare to mess with Saphir, you will definitely be killed and chopped up by his brother!” added me as the two walked slowly timidly towards the bed.

Then I closed my eyes and went to sleep.
